The reviews here are accurate so I will just add a few observations. We stayed in a beachfront site, and the deck at the back adds a lot of space. Our site (66) had a very tall tiki hut in front that was a little distracting so I would recommend a different site. The Premium Beach sites have no one on your patio side, which is nice, but we were always on our deck so these sites would have no advantage for us. This is a quiet stretch of the Panhandle, if you want action you will have to go to Destin or Pensacola Beach. They have some activities here, you have to watch the whiteboard at the entrance because they don't post them all on their website. They had free coffee and donuts, an ice cream social and a potluck breakfast. We missed the breakfast because we found out about it too late. You are allowed to wash your rig, they will bring you an extra long hose so you can use well water instead of the water supply at your site. We enjoyed Dewey Destin's very much. The food was great, and they are on a private beach so they allowed our dogs to play out there. We camped at Emerald Beach RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Head straight for the pay lot in Destin - finding free parking is a waste of time. Don't miss the beach just across the bridge west of Destin. It's managed by the Air Force but nobody stopped us. Gorgeous white sand, tall (off limits) sand dunes, and no crowds.

Our second time here. Extremely helpful staff, friendly people in park. Decent wifi, great cable. Park clean. Spaces close together. Concrete sites, all level. No left turn out of park, so going west you have to make a U-turn. We reserved a premium end site but were told on checking in that we couldn't park our tow vehicle on site. Wish we were told that on making reservation, as it was not convenient. We camped at Emerald Beach RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The park was very clean. I felt the sites where a bit close. It was very cold during our stay so we didn't get out much. We camped at Emerald Beach RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

I was not quite as happy in this campground as other reviewers. It does have the amenities: pool, small beach on the sound (not the gulf), pier, etc. However, I was extremely disappointed in the sites. First, part of the campground has full concrete pads and a bit more space. The other half just have two concrete strips. Took me a while to get on the strips so that the levelers would also hit.

We weren't told that the gravel area in front was for parking so we pulled forward to allow for the car in back which barely fit. Had we not taken the car off there is no way we would have fit onto the pad. It was advertised as a 45' site and my motorhome is only 28' so anyone else coming in would have a problem if they didn't unhook. We were totally on top of our neighbors and with the parking in front, out main view was of a truck. Being so close, I found the small patio useless.

I was only here for a couple of nights and glad that I did not book more. I will not stay here again but recommend that if you do, ask for the larger sites with full concrete pad. We camped at Emerald Beach RV Park in a Motorhome.

Expected more for what we paid. Staff are friendly. Was convenient and easy pull throughs. Wouldve given higher rate but their check out was 11 versus most parks which are 12. Space was tight, if I had to back my 40' 5th wheel in don't think I could've made it. No beach here either. Couldn't park my truck behind my rig, had to squish in beside. We camped at Emerald Beach RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here for 2 weeks in January in one of the premium sites next to Santa Rosa Sound. The six sites at the back of the park each have a private patio. Hookups are modern; site was concrete and level. The park is not large but is well kept by friendly staff. WiFi, as with most parks, is intermittent. A schedule of social activities is maintained (bingo, ice cream, donuts, casino shuttle to Biloxi). The park is right off busy Highway 98 and is close to numerous restaurants and grocery stores. We camped at Emerald Beach RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Navarre Beach and the Gulf of Mexico are a 10-minute drive away via causeway. Concrete islands on Highway 98 prevent turning across traffic to enter the RV park from the east. Entry from the west is easy via Hwy 98. The park is about 20 miles south of Interstate 10.

We booked a week here but stayed only 3 nights for several reasons. We were located near the highway which was very busy with a lot of traffic noise. There was nowhere to walk or cycle except up and down the park roads, and it was impossible to walk outside the park - even crossing the road to get to a restaurant involved driving and it took 10 minutes before there was a gap in the traffic.
On the plus side, the beach is small but lovely with lounging chairs and tiki umbrellas, and the pier is a nice spot to enjoy. Each site has 2 sewer connections and cable is good. Sites are narrow and level with a separate parking spot for vehicles.

Our preference is for more space, plenty of trails to walk the dogs and greater privacy, so know we made an error in booking in for a week without doing greater research. However, it was better to lose the $200+ than stay in such a confined space. We camped at Emerald Beach RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed at Emerald Beach over Christmas and the staff were very helpful and friendly. On Christmas Eve the park supplied a Christmas lunch of turkey and ham with guests bringing a dish to share and it was all delicious. The park was neat and tidy with concrete pull throughs or back ins. Very few permanent residents as most of the guests were travellers like ourselves.

Lots to see in the area especially the Naval Aeronautical Museum; people were very friendly and would recommend this park. We camped at Emerald Beach RV Park in a Motorhome.

Rate includes fees, Good Sam, and taxes. We stayed two nights because we wanted to be close to Navarre Beach Park. The sites are very tight and short. I had to pull through another site to back into our site. Had the other site been occupied already, I do not know how I would have backed into our site. We didn't spend much time in the campground itself as we were at the beach most of the day. The main highway in front of the campground is very busy, so patience is needed getting out. There are numerous department stores and grocery stores along the main road to pick from. The Navarre Beach is a real hidden gem in Florida. The water is warm and shallow. The sand is white and clean. There are lifeguards from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily. My teenage kids loved it! We camped at Emerald Beach RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

First, on the positive side the restrooms are clean, staff are friendly, sites right on the water with a nice pier, good views and rates are reasonable. Negative side, stayed for 3 months but had to shorten the stay by a month so the last month they forced me to move to another site. Why? The exercise room is a fitness center 3 miles away and you have to leave a $10.00 key deposit. They charge for Internet and electric. Other than that, it was a nice place, but will probably stay somewhere else next time. We camped at Emerald Beach RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very nice park with paved roads and sites with concrete pads and gravel parking pads. Each site also has a small concrete patio c/w picnic table. They provide a separate water source for RV washing at selected sites which is very unusual. They also have a nice private beach. The only down items are the slow Tengo Wi-Fi and the cable is really only beneficial to long term guests. I would have expected highspeed Wi-Fi and better cable for the price.
