Grounds are well maintained, pool is top notch, sites are tight, pier is uniquely designed. Price is high but quality of stay is higher than most. We camped at Santa Rosa RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $96.00
Overall Rating:

Upfront, this review is from the perspective of 3/4 time RVers who mostly stay at State Park type campgrounds. We came to the Fort Walton Beach area to visit family and this campground was the only one close enough that was available to fit our 39' fifth wheel. For us, desired amenities are laundry facilities in a campground. We do not use pools etc.

Checked in with no issues then went unescorted to site 65, which was a premium back in costing $96 per night across from the water view sites. Back in was very tight. We consider ourselves adequate backers and had to have the neighbor across the street move his truck. The sites were narrow and really close together but the landscaping makes you feel like you have some privacy. Very nice laundry facility. All sites are FHUs. The back rows butt up next to US98 and you do get road noise. There was a small no-leash dog area but no real trails in the park, or even nearby, to walk your dog. We camped at Santa Rosa RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a fantastic property with nearby underrated beaches and restaurants. The landscaping is immaculate, and the kids enjoyed having a heated pool in March. The other campers, the majority of whom were from up north, were all extremely friendly and invited us to participate in some of the social activities put on by the resort. Nearby traffic is noisy at night, but you eventually get used to it. We camped at Santa Rosa RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

If you are going to stay here i would recommend a water site. We didn't and therefore the view was non-existent. Navarre prides itself on being a quiet place and it is. I didn't feel there was much to do around the area (see below) unless you drove to Destin. The entrance is poorly marked and we all drove past it. Small resort and you are on a busy road. Landscaping needed worked on. Very tiny beach area but a great pool. The sites are very large and the patio was quite roomy. We camped at Santa Rosa RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

I highly recommend the turtle preserve. Small, but very interesting. The pier is nice and there is a good restaurant right there. Lots of great restaurants close by. There is a small Marine Land type of attraction but we didn't go. Short drive to the beach with lots of free parking.

Overall Rating:

This is a very nice, somewhat small RV park right on the water. The amenities are very nice and well kept up. The grounds are very clean and nicely landscaped. The sites are slightly close together but mitigated somewhat by decent landscaping between sites. The sites are slightly short if you have a big rig. We have a 45-foot motorhome and were barely able to park our tow vehicle in front...had to park sideways at an awkward angle but it did fit. The park is extremely close to the bridge leading to Santa Rosa Beach. This is a very nice park all around with terrific service! We camped at Santa Rosa RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $110.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in a site right on the Santa Rosa Sound so the view was beautiful. The sites are clean and semi-spacious. My husband and boys were able to fish right near our site. The pool is clean and did not feel too crowded. There is a small beach area to walk along or launch your kayak from. We enjoyed walking and riding our bikes around the loop. The campground is on the small side but well maintained. Our coach is 43' with slides on each side and we had plenty of space to extend and park our tow. Neighbors are fairly close so when they are on the non-living side of their camper, they're about 10' or less from your sitting area. Overall a nice campground and we would stay here again. We camped at Santa Rosa RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We stayed at this park during the time the lightening hit the RV mentioned by previous reviewer. It always nice to have emergency contact info on paperwork handed out during check in...maybe it was there ...we did not keep ours. During an emergency its always best to call 911. They were out fixing power poles the following AM. Beautiful park, well kept, everyone friendly...awesome work out area and pool... we will be back We camped at Santa Rosa RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is truly an RV resort! Although pricey it has the views, the amenities to compensate. Located just a quarter mile from the bridge to Navarre Beach and a short drive to restaurants, it has everything that is needed for a fabulous vacation. The sites are wide, deep and level with good water pressure and WiFi. We paid extra for the water front site and it was well worth it. Other sites are less pricey and still offer great views. The pier and beach are excellent and the folks that work there are amazing! They offer kayak and paddle board rentals too. We have already made our next reservations! Very nice place with beautiful pool. Only complaint is that there is no after hours contact. When we were there a thunder storm rolled through with a lightening strike next to us. The owners had a fire which was quickly put out however there was substantial ancillary damage. Our power pedestal shorted out and others had similar problems. There was no one to contact other than the Fire Department. Everyone had to wait until the next day to get help. We never got our cable tv fixed after three days. Sorry you had this problem, my phone number is located on the front door of the office.
I don't think there's much we could have done but call the fire department ourselves.
It does take time to work out all the issues when lightening runs in on an RV.
Thank you for this review.

Santa Rosa is a beautiful facility, if a bit pricey. The landscape and grounds are perfection. The sites nearest the road get a good bit of traffic noise but we were waterfront on the bay and it was great. The pool is very nice and there is an awesome fire pit in the pavilion where we spent a very enjoyable evening socializing with other guests. Fire pits are not permitted on the RV sites. We would definitely enjoy staying there again. We camped at Santa Rosa RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a beautiful, clean, and well landscaped RV Park. Many in the park are snowbirds for the winter, but I'm only staying a week (my rate reflects the weekly rate). However, everyone I have spoken with have been friendly and sing praises for the RV Park. The park is right on the sound. There are 4 rows of sites, with row 1 being right on the water and priced at a premium. I'm on Row 4 that backs up to US 98 highway. The site is lovely with adequate space and privacy, however there is some road noise that is worse during the day. On some sites, backing in is a little difficult with landscaping and if the people occupying the site across from you have their car next to the road. I had to go back and forth a couple times to get in, but it was not a huge problem. My site is just long enough for my 41ft MH and toad. There is a very nice pool, small beach on the sound, and a fishing pier. This park has the best cable TV connection I've had, maybe ever. Digital channels with many in HD. And a large selection of channels. The campground WiFi is usable for email, web surfing, etc. We camped at Santa Rosa RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Go to Navarre Beach just across the bridge. About 5 minutes. Plenty of free parking and free access to the beach. Beautiful white sand beach. For fresh seafood not done fancy, I recommend Scooters Fish House which is about .6 mi from the RV Park. Visit the Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola.

Overall Rating:

We visited this park from late December 2017 until Mid-March 2018. As others have said the park is beautiful - it is meticulously maintained. Other's have stated that the sites were narrow - I never felt that way - I would say that they are close enough that you have the opportunity to meet your neighbors, but because of the landscaping you still have your privacy. We stayed in a sound front site for the first month - the view is wonderful, but these sites are a little breezy. For the second month we had a site next to busy highway 98. Because of the heavy traffic on the highway, these sites can be very noisy (I suggest ear plugs for a comfortable night's sleep). During the winter months, the resort has an activities director and he and his wife do a great job keeping the snowbirds active. Don't miss Friday BINGO - it's a lot of fun. We met many wonderful people that are now our good friends. We enjoyed our time at Santa Rosa and expect to return in December 2018. We camped at Santa Rosa RV Resort in a Motorhome.
