Overall Rating:

This park is ideal for a country setting, no hustle or bustle as in the cities, quiet and you have plenty of space (elbow room) between campers. The pool is beautiful and well maintained. Activities are great during the winter season with bingo, crafts, exercises, pot luck dinners and music with the park musicians doing jam sessions, normally on Friday evenings. Dances and parties on special occasions during the season. This is our second year here and we love it. Everyone here is friendly and you can relax in solitude or mingle with your fellow campers, your choice. The owner seems to bend over backwards to accommodate their guests. Even building a 9 hole golf course which I certainly will enjoy. No place is perfect but this seems to come pretty close to our expectation and needs. The only disadvantage is the nearest food store is about 17 miles away. Our little store close by burnt down the summer of 2016. It was very convenient and miss it but we love being out in the middle of nowhere. The dogs will love their small and large dog parks. It is fun just to watch them romp and play here, very spacious... Love it, love it, and we love it. We camped at Sabal Palm RV Resort And Campground in a Travel Trailer.

IF you love a quiet, country setting, this is an amazing place. Beautiful heated pool, wifi hot-spots, security gate and some pet cows, horses, ponies and goats away from the sites to feed in the morning. Groceries and gas are 15 miles away so planning is a must. THEY ARE WORKING ON A 9HOLE GOLF COURSE FOR THIS WINTER.... great managers and an awesome place to stay. We camped at Sabal Palm RV Resort And Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We usually shop in either lake placid or Labelle for groceries. There are many nature tours in the are as well as many park activities. The location of this park is great for access to either coast which is only about an hour depending on traffic. Logo land is about 2 hours Disney is about 2 and a half, so the drive is not terriable but you are far enough from all the busyness of the city.

Great park.

The only downfall is a 15 mile trip to the nearest stores. A small convenience store within 1/2 mile is due to open, so that should help. It would be wise to stock up on groceries.

They have the standard RV park rules, but the unique thing is they enforce them! Absolutely great staff.

Our AT&T worked well for both voice and data. Typical Wi-Fi is available, not great, but adequate.

The best testimony I can give is : Are we returning again this winter and spending our money there?? YES-YES-YES.

After living in South Florida for 35 years I can attest that this is the best park for the buck in the area. We camped at Sabal Palm RV Resort And Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Hard to find but once you are there, it is nice. secluded, reasonably quite and very well maintained. Palmdale may be just a Post Office and a memory of Florida's early years, but the managers of Sabal Palm RV Resort are Very friendly and most helpful. The drives are sand but the RV Pads are concrete and we loved it. Can't wait for next winter but remember it is "20 miles to anywhere". Check your map. Rates are reasonable and everyone is friendly. From bingo to music there is entertainment all the time. We camped at Sabal Palm RV Resort And Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

We stayed here 2 months mid January to mid March, 2014. This is a terrific park and the only reason I am rating an 8 instead of a 9 is because you park on grass and the roads are dirt. Otherwise, I would have given it a 9. The other reason is because you are 18 miles to the closest grocery store. I just planned the menu for the week and we shopped once a week. Spaces are flat and it was very easy to level your unit. The place has a miniature golf course but they were putting down new outdoor carpet so we didn't play the course. 3 small lakes are on the property and a couple of 'local' small gators and turtles call this place home. Laundry has 4 washers - 2 cost $1.50 and 2 cost $1.75. Not sure why they don't have all 4 the same cost. Dryers are the nice type that you can just feed with quarters until your clothes are dry. Cost is $0.25 per 8 minutes. They have a pool table, dart board 'man cave'. Also have a nice size rec room with kitchen area. Free library of VHS videos, books and games. You can request a space under trees with shade or be in the sun. Very large cyclone fenced dog park. Concrete patio with picnic table. Plenty of parking. Small store at the office with milk, beer, candy, ice cream, personal items, and a few RV repair items. Lots of places to ride your bikes. 2 shuffleboard courts, 2 Patagne (botche ball) courts, horseshoe pits, and swimming pool. We camped at Sabal Palm RV Resort And Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Staff and residents offered a friendly welcome to this isolated country setting. Only minor traffic sounds and the lowing of cattle disturbed the quiet. Utilities were reliable except for occasional brief outages of the park’s Wi-Fi. A problem with the electric meter reading was amicably resolved; the rate shown is based on a month’s stay plus the electric charge. AT&T voice and data service was weak but functional in the area. Interior roads were gravel and uneven but grass sites were level and many had concrete patios. Neither groceries nor restaurants are convenient to the park so it is best to stock up before arriving. Nice (great) peaceful park, 90% RV spots. Nice shade, new sections do not have shade. This is a clean park with clean restrooms/showers. Sites are grass with concrete patio, roads are rock but no dust. Pool was very clean. Pond by the pool has a lot of bass in it, good fishing. Overall great place, people were very friendly, we stayed in site 68 and will come back as soon as we can. We camped at Sabal Palm RV Resort And Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This camp has to be the friendliest we've ever stayed at. I lost track of the number of northerners wintering over at the park that came up to welcome us and offer any help needed even though we were only planning to stay for the evening. These residents are very proud of their park. It is very quiet and set in a rural area. The park is directly next to a large cow pasture which adds to the bucolic setting. Access to the park is through a coded gate which gives you a feeling of security. This was a good move as some of the homes and trailers leading up to the park look a little rough. Signage for the park showing the way in could also use some help. Much is being done to add and improve the park. A large new area surrounding a nicely landscaped lake is a few months from being ready. A new pool is being put into service and a large concrete patio has been added to the main gathering building. A family would also enjoy this park as it has enough playground equipment to keep the kids happy for awhile. There is also probably one of the best fenced in dog runs that I've ever seen available. While not the fanciest or sheik of the places we've stayed, it felt the most comfortable. For those who appreciate rural settings this one is worth a look. We camped at Sabal Palm RV Resort And Campground in a Motorhome.
