May 2019 - $1.00
During winter months, great activities going on. Pretty quiet now though. We stay here a couple times a year, love this area. Personnel, office ladies and annuals area always nice, friendly and helpful. We've been here in October, December, January and May. Usually stay two or three weeks each time. Pools are fabulous, just right temp, gorgeous views, plenty of pool lounges, tables and the hot tub always up and running. - Linda Fuchs
Feb 2019 - $84.00
We came in early in Feb 1st 2019 left Mar 31 2019. Gave no discount for coming in early $84.00 per night I paid $1450 for Feb and $1550 for March the manager wouldn't even give me the average of what Feb 2019 would of been. The propane gas is $5.00 gallon way to expensive and over charged on electric. No WiFi to speak of. I told her I wouldn't be coming back next year didn't seem too care because it seem to be all about making money with out regards to the customer they have. The lots have broken concrete and built for smaller campers 20 years ago. Won't be going back. - Steph-Sharon 2019
Feb 2019 - $74.00
Girls at the front desk were extremely rude. I had previously asked for an early check in when I made the reservation because my husband had a flight to catch. I have not encountered such a lack of customer service skills in awhile. Park was ok nothing special. Will not stay here again. - PapaNanacampers
Mar 2019 - $35.00
GPS directs you to back side of the park. Then you have to go through winding narrow streets. Had to direct traffic to make turns. Site we were given was narrow, the turn in required backing into another empty site. If we would not have been able to do that, it would have been impossible to get in. We only stayed one night, long term might be better. - Tembe
Oct 2017 - $35.00
This is a very clean and nice park. Has a great location on 301. The manager was very helpful with any questions I had. The park is older but is kept up nicely. Has shade spots for RV's. No crime problems while I stayed there. Will definitely stay again next year! - Betty Harris
Sep 2017 - $40.00
Older park, new management, updated facilities. Close to Walmart. Shopping within walking distance, outlet mall a short drive. Friendly atmosphere with WiFi. Staff was helpful. As a retired Canadian veteran and long time camper, I enjoyed my stay at Lone Oak Park for the past 5 yrs. - Doug Fitzgeraaldcamping031
May 2018 - $45.00
Not impressed. Stayed here in a big rig in April 2018. First, this park is really a trailer park with RV sites. It is quiet with full, easy hook ups. The staff here seems non-existent and the park isn't anything to brag about. The site was grass and sand and small for my 43' rig. It's also a Thousand Trails/Encore park, and really makes me glad I didn't sign up with them because as a full-timer, I've stayed in many of these parks and they ALL are lacking in just basic upkeep and attractiveness. This park is easy to get to from I-75/275 and the full-time residents seem to be a mix of old folks, manual laborers, and the occasional Metallica enthusiast. As a bonus it's also close to Dollar General which seems to be a nightly haunt for the park's residents as every evening I watch them journey to the DG and return with their small bags of treasures. I found the price a bit high for what I got, a staff who didn't seem to know or care that I was there, and a small, barely maintained site. Next time through I will research more thoroughly to find something better. - Beware thyself
Mar 2018 - $32.00
Finally, a place that knows how to set up a shower that doesn't spray your dry clothes and towel nor does it wet the floor of your changing area. Kudos. The bathroom was so clean that I found myself wiping down the sink after use. There is a pool, shuffle board, tennis courts and other outdoor activities, although I never had time to use any of them. Residents were friendly. The RVs are mostly set up on a sort-of "island" with plenty of trees to give it an outdoorsy feel and a pond next to it. A sign warns visitors not to feed or "molest" the alligators in the pond. Now, I understand about feeding the critters, but who needs to be told NOT to molest these sharp-toothed giants? Anyway, the park is clean and well kept, the price is reasonable and the wifi worked great. Community tools (I needed a ladder) are available. The only drawbacks: I got lost driving and called for help, but no one's in the office on weekends. How can you offer RV sites and not be open then? When I finally arrived, there was no "greeting sheet" with site #, wifi password or code to the mens bathroom. Management apologized about that later. I'd return. - John_K
Jan 2013 - $32.00
What makes this park a great place to stop or to spend the Winter here is the people. From the office on down, friendly folks and a well organized park with plenty of things going on and lots to do. I would come back here again, but two things bothered me while here. The "Orange Juice Special" in back of the park. About 5 times a day this train comes by blowing and blowing the horn mainly because there are 3 crossings near by. And, to a lesser extent, US 41 in front with highway noise. Never-the-less, great park, you will enjoy your stay. - retiredblade
Mar 2010 - $25.00
This is a 55+ park. Paved roads, grass sites with patios and table. Many park models with RV spaces scattered about. They have an “Island” section with shade, water and electric only. Friendly staff and residents. Nice recreation/multi-use hall with a varied selection of activities. No cable TV but open sites for satellite TV. Most sites are 30 amp. Train tracks behind park but not many trains use it. Did not use Wi-Fi, Verizon air card worked OK. I marked this park down as it suffers from low voltage (113-114 usually and down to 105-107 volts) as demand increases in the park. Rate shown is based on monthly rate. - nmmotorhome
Mar 2017 - $40.00
My parents have stayed as snowbirds in this park for 10+ years. My husband and I have traveled down here to visit them each year for all 10 years at different times of the winter. We have never had a bad stay. The pool is always warm and clean. The restrooms are clean with plenty of hot water. The laundry room is well equipped. There is shuffle board, bocce, BINGO, cards, dominos, other game nights if you are interested. there are other social events and everyone is always made to feel welcome but never pushed to join if not interested. The people are very friendly and warm. Fiesta Grove is a fun park I would highly recommend and hope to use when I retire! - RVr4L1fe
May 2015 - $15.00
We stayed here for 9 months developing our RV inspection business. It was cheaper than most for winter rates, but you get what you pay for. For a full time RVer my impression is this is an old park model park for snowbirds. This makes it tough for the bigger RVs to get into. If management is there, they will help you get in.
In the busy season there are vehicles everywhere. With the tight roads navigating the park can be a challenge.
The sites have minimal asphalt and it is mostly old and deteriorating. Most sites slope from back to front with sewer located in the back. The grass is mostly weeds and there are lots of ants. Sitting out most times of the year is difficult due to mosquitoes and no-see-ums.
Water pressure is good and the free Wi-Fi, outside of the busy season, is adequate.
You are at least 30 minutes from the beach depending on traffic. The closest grocery store is 7 miles away. There is a Dollar General about a half mile away.
The park is located right next to train tracks. I counted anywhere from two to ten trains a day with excessive whistle blowing as the train crosses Bayshore Rd. If you are hard of hearing the vibrations will alert you to their presence. LOL
Rates: Yearly $344/mo plus electric, monthly in the busy season is $772, $399 out of the busy season. Nightly is $39/nt in season, $30 out of season. - Howard Jaros
May 2015 - $15.00
Recently new managers have done a great job of improving this park. Very clean, well kept, and friendly, helpful staff. Wifi worked excellent.
We would definitely stay here again. - dagopapa
Jul 2017 - $30.00
Older RV park but well maintained. Gravel sites surrounded by lawn. Some shaded and some open. Some sites are short so make sure you ask for a long site if you're in a big rig. The 50 amp plugs receptacles were installed upside down yet the power was fine. It appears that about 75% of the sites are for full timers and the remainder for transients. Nice pool and fitness room. Only 20 minutes to St. Pete beach. Rate reflects Passport America discount. We will stay here again in our motorhome if we need to visit St Pete. - lmg
Nov 2014 - $45.00
Things I liked were the Staff was very pleasant and helpful. The long term snowbirds and permanents are the priority here and they were most friendly and those we talked with raved about the place. Many have been there for years. The location of this campground is great as it is minutes to St Petersburg or Bradenton. Access for big rigs is good as the roads are paved and wide enough to maneuver. Pool and spa area is beautiful and virtually on the water with magnificent views. The pool was heated and very comfortable for swimming. Not so good things are short timers are not the priority here. Sites are not so level. I needed to drag out the blocks to lift the front end higher. Each site has a slab for outside sitting, and some were in pretty shabby condition. Picnic tables are real rough as they appear many years old, and do not appear to have ever seen any paint. Visual appeal for our site was less than ideal. The dumpsters were not in some remote part of the campground as is typical in most. We were located across the road from dumpsters and storage areas. We spent two weeks watching everyone arrive daily, often in noisy trucks, to dump their trash in the dumpster. It was a lot of undesired noise and an unsightly view. But only a few sites in the 40?s numbers are subject to this. The spa was not working during our stay. WIFI signal was strong at our site 43 however the bandwidth was poor. We heard others comment on how poor the WIFI worked. Cable is not ?turned on? at any given site. We were told we must go in town and contact Brighthouse to have cable turned on at our site. I assume at our cost. We did not pursue having it turned on. TV Reception was not so good for us. Most evening TV shows we were used to were unavailable. - Denny Pike
Feb 2013 - $28.00
Nice enough RV park, typical snowbird park. Sites are tight, the back in's in the center are literally back to back RV's. The pool and hot tub were operational, clean, and nice. The game room was seldom if ever used while we were there, 2 free pool tables, and a ping pong table. We didn't take in the breakfast meals, or other things they had, but heard good reviews. This is mostly a snowbird location, has nice older large trees and shade, electric/water/sewage was not a problem all worked well. Very good restaurant within walking distance (just watch the traffic while crossing). The rate reflects a monthly rate, would definitely stay here again. - Robnmo
Apr 2019 - $22.00
The pictures are VERY misleading! Not nearly as nice or "tranquil" as those pictures appear. First impression, assistant manager is very rude!!! Multiple comments about her on all sites. We were staying for an extended stay. Were being the operative word! Very clearly allows some to break rules while enforcing the rules strictly on others. Manager is very rude also. Never allowed to actually talk to an owner. NOT kid friendly at all. Has a pool and thats it. Not a nice one at that. So disappointed. Should've known you get what you pay for!! - Kalynn
Mar 2019 - $30.00
We stayed here in February 2018 for a week and fell in love with the laid- back old Florida atmosphere. Booked for two months for 2019, good move! The office staff, and workers are all great and take pride in this little gem. Cleaning and maintenance/upkeep are on-going daily. We stayed in site T26 with our 40 foot motorhome, 50amp, water, no sewer, but honey wagon service is available Monday- Saturday. No cable service at this site. No satellite connectivity due to many trees, we didn't mind. OTA TV channels plentiful and clear. Many activities to take advantage of or not. Have signed up to come back next year for two months. - GED
Feb 2018 - $1.00
Very nice park in 1970. Everything is too small for the number of sites. 2 shuffleboards, 2 pool tables, 1/2 court basketball - that's it for sports. Clubhouse seats 80, 200 sites. You climb over each other. Nice small pool. Has a '50s neglected vibe but there's a lot of man-made noise, leaf blowers at 8AM, 24 hour train is 1/8 mile. Heavy bugs with no control and you can't pitch a bugscreen porch. No internet. And, alas, the park is a 45 minute drive to anywhere. We moved on. - sprchief
