This campground is quiet and might have been a nice place at one time. It used to have cable TV, but apparently it was lost when a rig was pulling out and caught on an overhanging branch which in turn caught on the cable wire and tore it down and damaged the cable system. It was supposed to be fixed in February but it never came about. Comcast did however show up in March for two days at which time they only spent 30 minutes each day, and have not been seen again since. We checked in here for about a week but may end up staying longer. Here are the drawbacks for this campground. There are some really bad riffraff living in old beat up RVs out in the very back of the campground. They are rowdy at times and police are often called in to settle the many disputes that go on here. They give the place a bad reputation, but the owner seems oblivious to it, all she cares about is getting the money. She relies on the guy who owns the store to tend to 'her' campground, she seldom even shows up to check on things. She makes quite a chunk from the campground, but she is putting none of that money back into the campground. Another bad thing is that the campground advertises that they have 28 sites, not so. It only has about 10 working sites. Most all the remaining site are dead sites, nothing works. The trouble with the sites is that for the bigger rigs it is difficult to maneuver into them and getting out is no better or easier. As for the noise factor, besides the riffraff there is also roosters somewhere nearby and they crow from early morning till late night and can be quite nerve wracking after a bit. There are almost no roads to speak of in the park, they are all dirt and pretty much overgrown with grass and fallen leaves. One other bad thing, at times the air sinks because of a factory in the area. Breathing the air is sickening both here and in Perry. As for the bathrooms, from the looks of the building they are pretty dilapidated and I wouldn't venture inside for fear they may collapse. The laundry room? No washers or dryers to speak of, they've all been ripped out of the wall. So, would I recommend this campground? Absolutely not. But if one is desperate and has no choice, then its a good stop only to sleep, if you can with the highway right here next to the rig. I will not stay here again. - VenusAlexis

A wonderful small RV park right on the Gulf. Cash or Check only. Dirt roads and sites with some grass and a few palm trees. All back in sites with FHU, table and views of fabulous sunsets on the gulf. Good cell signal, satellite TV signal all sites. Nice restrooms or showers, but no Wi-Fi, no cable TV, game room or club house, no pool, playground or laundry. But right on the Gulf. Recreational boat launch and a small private wharf. Mostly seasonally monthly rigs. A developed fishing campground not a resort. But good for big rigs. Staff friendly and helpful. 15 miles from town of Perry. Will return. No Passport America discount in June, July Aug. - Pepper Dan
Mar 2018 - $20.00
The park is quiet with few amenities. Restrooms were not available due to hurricane damage. Most sites in the park are for semi-permanent RVs. A small public beach is located about a half mile from the park. This park was good for the price we paid. - Steve77
Jan 2018 - $20.00
Very friendly owner.Nice and clean park with great view . - Obcy

Nov 2019 - $43.00
We stay overnight on the way to our destination and again on the way home. Our site was long and level. Very nice campground for overnight. - lce3
Oct 2019 - $40.00
Lovely park in a lovely setting beneath Spanish moss laden live oaks. We were accompanied to a perfectly level full-service pull thru and enjoyed the cable TV and functional WiFi. Limited Verizon and ATT. Nice dog walk area, lovely pool, laundry, and good interior roads. Groceries and services within two miles. We really liked this place as a base for exploring the area. The only downside was the smell from the nearby paper mills, not a deal breaker but enough to keep it from a five star park in our opinion. We would stay again if in the area. - Janau NC
Jun 2019 - $43.00
This was our first time staying in Perry KOA. It is definitely a work in progress. Sites are long enough to pull into without disconnecting the toad. It is somewhat dusty as progress continues in upgrading park. The pool and spa are very nice and are worth the effort to use. - Herb Richards

We stayed 2 nights. Campground was gravel road, and pull through sites were grass. Well kept, restrooms, showers and laundry building was new and very clean. About 15 minutes from Town of Perry. No picnic table. Didn't try the WiFi. Good place to spend the night. Full hook-ups worked well. Quiet with a bit of noise from the road, but not bad. Would stay again. - Sherrie Hutchinson
May 2019 - $33.00
Very nice campground. Extremely clean restrooms. Gravel roads with very well maintained grass sites. Good drainage. Both shaded and non-shaded sites. Some well maintained extended stay sites. Nice store w/fuel at park entrance. - GMon and GDad
Apr 2019 - $30.00
We spent one night at Rocky's and we were impressed with an easy pull-thru site and spotless facilities. We were pulling a toad and it was easy to get gasoline and there were several separate pumps for diesel. We didn't have to unhitch the toad which was a great benefit for an overnight stop. The park is grass covered with large trees that give a nice amount of shade. Our rig is a Class C, but there is plenty of room for large Class A rigs. We would definitely stop here again. Good price on gasoline. - Cool Change

Oct 2009 - $19.00
Not a perfect park but it's clean, grassy and shady and at $19 full hookup better than others at much higher price. I stayed here 4 days with no problems. Sawmill not noisy, very few permanents and very quiet. Only problem: office smells of too many cats, but not the campgrounds. - dave33868
Jan 2006 - $21.00
Agree completely with previous review. Sawmill operates from 7:00 A.M. to midnight. Sounds like jet planes next door. Would not recommend. - ohiorv
Mar 2005 - $20.00
The facility is located next to a production saw mill. This facility runs for 16 hrs. a day with heavy noise levels. The permanent units next to the park are very poor quality. Most have a fence with a guard dog in the yard. We arrived before other units starting to arrive. Another camper warned us that this was not a real safe area. When about 10 other units came into the park, we felt more secure. The park is behind an older motel and uses common facilities. The owners are older and have lost some control due to the amount of work required and the age of the facility. Although the sites are pull-thru, they are very difficult to enter. They advertise big rig sites, but this is a big exageration. I will never use this facility again. - jojolima

This was a overnight stop for us. We were escorted to our site by the manager. - A hitch and hop
Mar 2019 - $24.00
Lovely, well-managed campground located behind a motel. Sites are long and level, grass with tall trees providing lots of shade. Utilities were fine. Office lady is helpful and charming. Convenient to I-10 but road noise was not a problem. Wifi slowed as more guests logged on, but was adequate. Two dozen or more OTA channels. We will stay there again on our way through Florida. - Mom_of_Two
May 2018 - $24.00
We have stayed at this park several times during our trips along I-10. It is very convenient and the Passport America discount makes it attractive. Over the years we have seen some improvements. However, it remains a work in process. That said, it is fine for an overnight stay. The sites are grass, but fairly wide and level. All utilities worked just fine. One word of caution - if you want to use PA discount, it is cash only. No problem if you are prepared. Yes, there are several permanent residents whose trailers show neglect and wear. They have never bothered us in the slightest. For the price, I can't complain. I'll stay here again on my next trip. - MFTDoc

I can't recommend this park. Not only was there a horrible biting fly problem... I have video to prove this. The different areas for the kids need cleaned or repair. I thought maybe our standards were too high but I spoke with others who felt the same. 1. You can not sit outside nor can you cookout. The flies are so bad I've never ever seen anything like it. 2. The pool behind the office was milky white. I asked if it was safe to swim in and got a "ummmmm yea I think so". My husband proceeded to clean it... I decided not to chance it. 3. The lazy river pool was dirty. My husband & a lady picked pine needles. My granddaughter said she saw roaches... and how dirty the lazy river was! That came from a child! 4. The bouncy house & pad.... I would not let my grandkids go on them. They look filthy & not in repair. 5. The mini golf was in need of repair. It's sad... my 12 year old grandson just didn't want to venture out and get eaten by flies! For $570+ for 6 days & one free....and we left early because of the flies plus and $190+ for the golf cart we really didn't use since the flies made it miserable... you think some of the money made would be use to repair... but as long as people put up with the conditions they won't . My grandkids were mixed. My 12 year old grandson knew the facility was not kept clean. My 8 year old granddaughter did not do much but did say places were dirty. - Howard Janice
Jun 2019 - $150.00
Wow for the price I paid would have expected more? The site I had was very unlevel and the hookup was at the rear of the site causing me to unhook my toad. The natural wildlife of mosquitoes, ants and yellow flies that put a nice bite on you are out of control. The site I was in the panel receptacle for the 110 was not working so I ran my power cord for the outdoor fan to the empty site next door. Checking in well was very uggh and they do not escort you to the site. No WiFi or cable TV
Their idea of a fire ring was a truck rim which I think is neat but really? The dog park needs tending to and a bucket of green water is provided ewww. Unknown as my travel plans of being here for 3 days was shorten by an freightliner visit in Ocala. I called the park and were very friendly and refunded two nights so that was a plus. - Bigbobm
