This park served its purpose as we needed an overnight stop between Disney and Key West. It is conveniently located off of I-75. Consistent with other reviews, this location would not be comfortable for an extended stay. I do want to point out that the staff was very helpful. I called ahead because we were arriving late. They waited for me, guided us to our site and even dropped off some firewood. - g8r80
Dec 2018 - $75.00
Much too crowded for large units. Help is friendly. Electric no good. Water ok. No place to park. Our slide was up against a tree. Very old park, needs updating terribly. Will not be back. - big foot
May 2018 - $45.00
As mentioned by other reviewers the park needs a lot of work - it seems they're working on improvements as the shower/restroom is brand new and excellent. Our site was level and convenient but we were directed to another site that we couldn't get into because of randomly parked trucks or cars. The staff is extremely helpful. Wifi was OK and sites not too crowded. - Catsinatrailer

We had to move from a park that was closing permanently. We were charged more than double for a tiny site with terrible water pressure. In order to use the laundry, you must drive to the back of the park and buy a card for $5.00 with no credit on it, then load money on the card and if you need more credit on it, you drive back to the machine to load more money on it. There is a need for quality parks in the Fort Lauderdale area. - J59T
Jan 2014 - $65.00
This is a large park, with many permanent sites. Very small sites, all paved. It is located in a highly industrialized area of Ft. Lauderdale, surrounded by scrap metal yards, lift rentals, etc. Most of the traffic on the road to the park is dump trucks and it is surrounded by highways. It is also located directly under the runway approach for landing aircraft to Ft. Lauderdale airport. On the good side, it was fairly friendly, the Wi-Fi was mostly OK, although it was intermittent at times. It is centrally located, so you can get to wherever you want to go fairly well. What I found most interesting is that English is the minority language. It is overwhelmingly French Canadian. - gsgroff

If you enjoy sitting at the departure end of a major airport and hearing screaming jets fly over every few minutes, then this place is for you! In addition, we were given site S4, which is one of the sites right up against busy Burris Road. Let me out of here! Thankfully, it was only a 3-night stay, and I have no idea how the hundreds of Canadian folks can live here for weeks or months. The woman who "greeted" us at the front gate was not at all friendly, and I'm sure she won't mind that we'll never be back. Sites for RV's were very tight, although the concrete pad was nice and level. Water pressure was extremely high - don't forget your regulator. 50-amp power was adequate. Verizon reception was great, and a strong picnic table was available at most sites. Bathrooms were very nice, and clean, but the showers did not provide shelves or benches for items I would want to take with me. The laundry machines required that you purchase a $5.00 card and charge it at their machine - no thanks, I'll wait for the next stop! There was a nice walking/biking path along nearby Orange Drive that we enjoyed. Good grocery stores and other services were fairly close by. I'm sorry, but I fail to find anything about this park that warrants $65 per day. Oh, here comes another jet - gotta go! - LowesTravels
Jan 2014 - $60.00
Sites are small, close together. Most are permanent or semi-permanent. The location is convenient to the highways, in an industrial area. It is also directly under the landing path for Ft. Lauderdale airport, so there is a continuous stream of jets overhead. At our site, the WIFI was mostly OK. Water was good. Staff was friendly. It is a very popular place for Quebecois, so many of the guests here are French speaking. Kind of a culture shock, but interesting! This is not necessarily a negative, just an observation. - gsgroff
Mar 2013 - $60.00
Staff are very helpful and can provide lots of info for the area even if they don't appear to love their jobs. The website and site brochure are a bit misleading as the 8 laundry locations have been reduced to 3 and some other facilities have changed. The park is on the flight path for the airport which can be very busy. They park is generally well maintained especially in the large area occupied by the seasonal Quebec population. Most signs in the park are only in French. Wi-Fi is okay and they offer RV storage. We would stay again if in the area for a short time. - lrp374

This was our first visit. If we ever need to stay in the FLL/Miami vicinity again, I would definitely come back. The girl in the office was great. She patiently answered all my questions and followed up with additional information. She also greeted us on arrival. If you go there, it helps to know that you should turn right into the street in front of the registration building. We didn't, because it looked like the street came to a dead end, but there actually is a huge loop on the other side of a small rise just for that purpose. We had read in other reviews that noise from the shooting range could be a disturbance. We stayed 5 nights and only heard shooting for a few minutes the second night we were there. Our back-in site (E5) backed up onto the canal and was plenty big enough for our 40' bus and the Jeep. Very quiet, and not a lot of unnecessary lights. The max stay is 6 months, so most rigs were in good shape (obviously road-ready) and there wasn't a lot of junk laying around. There are plenty of bath houses which were usually clean. However, they aren't sealed against bugs so even just a few hours after being cleaned there were things in the sinks and toilets. This is exacerbated by the lights being on 24/7. So if you can't handle dead bugs in the drain you probably want to shower in your rig. Maybe putting the lights on a motion sensor or timer and sealing the building better would help. Speaking of bugs, though, we expected to deal with a lot of mosquitoes but were pleasantly surprised to find it wasn't a problem at all. The park has many recreation opportunities including a lovely butterfly garden. There is a boat ramp to the canal we were on; we watched several boats and PWC on the water. Also in the flyway for FLL Int'l, but not very noisy and it was fun to watch the bellies of the planes open and the landing gear drop. Also saw many species of birds, alligators, and of course iguanas. All in all, we had a good experience. Approaching from I-75 S, when you get off the exit onto 84, you must turn left and go under I-75 to reach Markham Park. Our Garmin seemed to not know that I-75 was between 84 and the park; it simply told us we had "arrived." - sunbirds
Oct 2018 - $30.00
A really great park sandwiched between Ft Lauderdale to the East and the Everglades to the West. Huge, full-hookup site backed up to the canal. Tons to do within the park (shooting, RC boats/planes, biking, etc...) and even more just outside the gates. The gun range was a bit noisy during the day, but quieted down in the evening and didn't bother us. The public WiFi had better speeds (54 Mbps down!) than we have at home due to the access point located in each camping circle...where we were there were 5 sites per circle. Really nice place. South FL is at your disposal...as are the Everglades. If you can't find stuff to do here you're not trying. We will be back whenever we're in the area. - Jeporter99
Sep 2018 - $30.00
Not good. Beautiful Park. Very courteous office staff. The Lady that helped me make the reservations on the phone was very helpful. The campground / site maintenance is next to non-existent. The site we had looked like it had not been mowed in weeks, very shady site with low-hanging branches, lots of dirt and black mud. Upon arrival but before parking we contacted the front desk about maintenance coming to mow and clean the site. We were told that maintenance was not available until the next morning. The next day at noon we returned to the office to request maintenance services again. At 3 pm the 2nd day the maintenance person showed up to mow the 3 sites next to us and finally got to us. There are multiple long-term campers "lifers" that keep their site looking like trash, loose dogs, cars speeding well over the 15 mph limit. It's a shame because the park has a lot of facilities for activities but it looks like Broward County grossly neglected the maintenance and administration of the Campground. A few days prior to our arrival, we were called and asked if we would move sites because a "lifer" wanted to extend their stay. What we were offered as alternatives were non shaded, non private sites closer to the gun range. - YOLO13

Dec 2018 - $40.00
Nice park, close to the interstate and shopping areas. There is a curvy road getting into the park, but it wasn't too much trouble. As some noted, there are a lot of trees and some did overhang over the road. They were in the process of trimming them, while we were there. This is a city park, with a RV campground, so they have other activities going on, and the park is busy on the weekends, so there is some noise during the day. There is also noise from the airliners flying overhead and planes from the small airport nearby. You will hear sirens, day and night, as well as people hot-rodding on the 4 lane street near the park. If you are looking for a place with no to little noise, this is not it. It is a good place to stay, if you want to check out the Miami area. OTA and satellite TV worked well, as did our AT&T cell phones and hotspots. Their wifi didn't work most of the time and when it did, our computers wouldn't connect to it, but phones and tablets would. We would stay here again. - Bbtj
Dec 2018 - $40.00
As others have noted, this park is centrally located in a busy metroploitan area. It is well maintained and features paved roads and sites and is priced fairly. It has a lot of what we want in an rv park but its not perfect. There were a lot of overhanging trees that need to be trimmed. Everyone in our pull through row exited by backing out of their site. Too many trees in the way of a front exit. During the week and on all overnights there is no gates or security on site. I didn't have any problems but locals do cruise the park. I will not book a weekend again. 9 hour concert on the saturday we were there. We couldn't take the booming bass so we went out during the day to escape the noise. Came back about 3pm and had to wait in line about 15 minutes to enter the park. Cars filled the park everywhere....lots of concert goers strolling the park. It was over shortly after dark. Sunday was much better but a ski boat towing hollering tubers all afternoon was less than peaceful. The location and nicely maintained park make up for the inconveniences so I'll likely be back but not on a weekend. - Kbob
Apr 2018 - $40.00
We camp here every spring and fall. Last year we gave the park a very good rating but not so this time. The site we received was dirty with paper and cigarette butts down in the grass which means the site had not been cleaned for some time. The ground crew come regularly to pick up the dumpsters to empty them but do not pick up trash and cans nearby on the grass. The park just has a very unkempt look about it. Also the laundry area is dirty with plenty of cobwebs. On the positive side, the office staff is very professional and helpful. I hope that the park does improve for it is still the best there is in the area. - Nautilus

Rate is based on their high season (snowbird) rate. We chose this park due to its' proximity to the cruise port. We took an 11 night cruise and were concerned about leaving the RV unattended. Fortunately we were next to a seasonal person who I felt comfortable enough would keep an eye on our RV. We came back to a RV just as we left it. The staff was very professional & fair. The park is also part of a marina with boat slips for lease while you stay. Our site was "off the water" and was on broken down asphalt but, did have a nice raised patio. We didn't get to checkout/experience the amenities due to our very short time there before & after the cruise. - rracer5

We have a 25' motorhome. The spot we were assigned was too narrow for us to back in to. Let me start at the beginning. The person at the front desk was perfunctory. After I got back in our motorhome, I went back in to the office to ask about cable and wifi. No cable and she handed me a slip of paper with the wifi code. We drove to the site she assigned. I knocked on the door of the neighbor and asked her to move her car for fear of hitting it. Her car was properly parked. She was very nice and moved it, saying she didn't think we would be able to back in anyway. After several failed attempts, I walked back to the front desk. I asked for a different slot. I walked to the newly assigned slot to view it. A small trailer was parked in it. I walked back to the desk and suggested another slot that was open. She said "take it" and she would work things out. It was narrow, but we got in. The park seems to be mostly full-timers who are pressed for money. I may be wrong. I did see a $30,000+ motorcycle go by. As to wifi, I could not find it using a booster. If I were driving a Class A or pulling a fifth wheel, I would ask before making any reservation. Only if desperate would I stay here again. - Roboat
Mar 2018 - $65.00
Sites are close together, but then again we are close to Ft. Lauderdale and surrounding cities. Site backed up to a canal and amazing yachts passing all day. Streets are tight and very "rolling" so your RV will be rocking in and out. No place to hook up the tow vehicle so everyone backs up and blocks the exit road so the locals get aggravated. Most sites are occupied by winter seasonal residents and we definitely felt like outsiders. We waved, they looked and turned away. That said, the office staff were very nice. - Russell01

This park is great! I had stayed here for 4 and half years and love it! If you drive around to other RV parks you will see why this one is the best. It's not for kids. That's perfect for me! The owner is the best! She's super sweet! The park was always kept up and clean. People have complained about no laundry no pool, the site is very clear that it does not have laundry nor pool. Also every single RV park will make you pay extra for pets, extra cars. Angie is very fair in her prices. I love this place and oh the planes, well they did not ever bother us. We thought it was very cool. If we were inside watching tv, they never heard them. Other RV parks flood and crammed in together. This park is neat and great size lots. - Angie Burttschell
Jul 2017 - $1.00
The park is directly in the flight path of Ft. Lauderdale airport. Planes start about 6am and don't end until about 10am. the planes are so low it cuts out the TV signal!!! No laundry, no restrooms and what are supposed to be cute Palm Fron shaded "huts" have no roof and just the frame is sitting there. This is where you go when you have no where else to go. I should have listened to the older reviews on this place, they are clearly the only honest ones. - RV maniac
Feb 2017 - $30.00
I stayed at this park from May 2016 until February 2017. I am a construction worker and had a project in Port Everglades. This park deserves a 9 or a 10 due to the owner and her commitment to her guests. The park is clean and well maintained. We had absolutely no problems with the park or the staff. I thoroughly enjoyed our conversations. I gave the park an 8 because of the airport primarily. It is probably unfair to down rate it just for that reason but it is a significant inconvenience. I joked about there being wheel marks on top of my trailer. Those planes come in low and loud. They generally stop by 11pm and do not typically restart until after 5am but there are times when there are flights overnight and those can be annoying. I would/will stay here again even knowing what I know. I paid the off season rate because of the time of year that I got here. Our cost did not change just because the season changed and the snowbirds started flocking in. The owner told me up front that my rate would stay consistent during my stay. She could have been greedy but she wasn't and that's honorable. The yard guys come around once every couple of weeks and her maintenance guy is in there cleaning up and looking after the place. She does not let the yard guys start at the crack of dawn which is respectful. I would absolutely stay here again. I absolutely recommend this park. - jeffj

The neighborhood seems a little dicey when you first arrive but after you settle in it is fine. You are packed in like sardines but you have a nice little patio made of pavers. We felt safe and they have lots of security cameras. There is a Walmart across the street. The bathroom is nice. The laundry room is nice. It is a great central location for the Miami area - we were visiting family to the north, the south and out by the beach and the drive in all directions was easy. Go to Miami Subs just south of the campground - it is yummy fast food! You pay extra for the Wifi and we couldn't ever get it to work so we gave up and used our phones as hot spots. - OurBigAdventure
Oct 2018 - $80.00
They had a spot for us at last minute in January! So that’s good, sites were really small but they all had a nice table and chairs. We squeezed our 36’ fifth wheel into a little while and were able to open the slides, but nice grass area nearby to run the dogs. Pretty pricey. - Tim Thiemann
Jan 2018 - $85.00
This park is VERY tight! Some of the sites were recently redone, and now are so close together when your neighbor puts out his/her slide, it encroaches on your patio. You pay for the use of a patio and grill and can't use it because of the RV next to you. The wifi is basically non-existent, even though they claim to have wifi. This park has no amenities and sits along a busy highway right in town. It is way overpriced. If there were amenities, I could understand the high cost, being in the city. There is a pet fee, with no dog park or any amenities for your pet. I would not recommend this park to anyone!!! - Mr Bates

There is a nice swimming pool. The park is very old, ancient. The manager complains RVs are too large these days. Over fifty percent of the sites are occupied by long timers. Next to me was a retired postal worker who has been there over thirty years. The neighborhood is very bad. I was warned by no less than six longtime residents. Bicycles left outside are gone in the morning. My neighbors 'unit' has been broken into eighteen times. The space between RVs is measured in inches. My 'front yard' was occupied by an electrical transformer and assorted electrical equipment (see pictures). - The Penguin
Apr 2018 - $25.00
It took some time to get into the resort because the gates were locked. Followed instructions for the intercom to get the office to open the gate and got an inaudible response. A maintenance guy eventually let us in. He was very helpful. There were two people ahead of us in the office and it took a while to register them. However, the office staff were very helpful, friendly and professional. We were given a pull through site with no neighbors on either side, so we had lots of room. Had there been neighbors, it would have been tight. Everything is heavily secured because the resort is not in the best neighborhood. Went for a bike ride outside of the resort and found local residents to be quite rude. Other than that, everything was OK. It was a very quiet camp and the pool was nice. This resort is a good staging area for day trips near Fort Lauderdale. There is not much to do inside the resort other than swim in the pool or watch TV. Note that the over the air TV reception is quite good. - John A Guderian
Oct 2017 - $19.00
This is an older Encore/Thousand Trails RV Park with a number of Park Models and full time RVers. The $19 rate is based on our RPI Membership. It is OK for a short stay to take in the sites of Ft Lauderdale and the Beaches. The sites have blacktop driveways and a concrete patio, but no picnic table. Full hookups with cable TV. Didn't hook up to the cable as we were able to get good over the air TV reception. Wi-fi is available for an additional cost, however I was able to use my mobile hotspot to access the internet. One of the pools was not open, but again as an older park it didn't look that appealing. The other pool was open and looked better. They had restrooms at the pools but no showers, other than an outside shower. There was a single shower at the laundry room that looked good. - Michael Kibler

Nice campground, no matter what spot you’re in you will hear the trains going by but it did not bother us. Coming into the park there are VERY low tree branches, so be sure to drive slow and pay attention. We got here on Easter and the park was packed with people. The park is usually pretty busy on the weekends. Gates close around 11pm and reopen around 5:30am - Megan Davis

Nice County Park. Need to watch for some semi low tree branches but we had no problem with a 13'2" high MH. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. The only negative, as others have stated, was the location of the utilities. Waaaaay at the back of the site. Obviously, whoever designed the RV portion of the park never used a MH or other RV type. - Johngflyer
