We are loving the Miami Everglades Resort. In fact, we like it so much we're stopping here again on the way to Daytona from the Keys. We enjoyed playing pickleball with the nicest people today. There are lots of folks that stay here for the season and everyone is nice. The pool is beautiful, there is a nice walking and biking trail and amenities galore. The staff is all helpful and friendly. This is a beautiful park that you will truly enjoy. The wifi isn't free so we didn't try it. The water pressure could use improvement and the sites are close to each other but it doesn't deter from the enjoyment. - Charisse Tyson
Apr 2019 - $62.00
Good front office customer service. A lot of amenities - pool, miniature golf and very nice walking trail. Roadways are narrow, thus your view from front window is the RV across the way. Sites are fairly wide, however, the people next door had so many cars that they parked in front of our RV (on our site). Low rating is due to large patch - 10 x 20 feet of dirt and mud instead of grass where a patio should be. They need to install concrete patio and not allow grass killing mats. - Deb and Chris
Apr 2019 - $20.00
This park is really nice. I see mostly pull throughs. The sites are flat. We chose this place because we wanted to see the Everglades and the Keys. We did both. Walmart isn't too far away but uses a parking garage for a place to park. A mall isn't too far from there. We are surrounded by plant nurseries. There is a paved area going around the perimeter of the property for walkers and bikers. - Barbara Walker

Very nice county RV park with paved roads and wide, long and level paved back in sites. FHU. Many towering trees for good shade canopy and lots of grass. Only a few sites can get roof mounted satellite signals. No cable tv, good antenna TV, OK open wi-fi, good cell signal. OK for big rigs. Sites arranged in circular pods with inner and outer sties. Each pod has RR, shower and laundry facility. Cannot reserve a specific site, if you can't get sat signal they charge $15 to change so go look before paying. Park clean and staff helpful. Close to Miami Zoo on south side of town, 20 miles to downtown Miami. Will stay there again. - Pepper Dan

Nice park, has a pool. Campsites are in circular pods. - Megan Davis
Mar 2019 - $35.00
Really nice county park with a pool. Most sites have trees except loop 2. Almost all are back-in except for a few in loop 1. Lots of snow birds, but all were friendly. My biggest complaint was that the water pressure was very low < 30psi. Had to run off of my tank. Would stay again if in the area. We were in loop 1. In my opinion I would try loop 3 because of the trees. - newbies2016

Not an "RV Resort", it is an old park with mobile homes and permanent RV's. An RV site must just be a fill in for income. Feral cats all over the place along with the cat poop all over my site. Located in a seedy part of town. Our site had the sewer connection about 25 feet over so we could not hook up. Laundry, you have to buy a card for $2.00 and fill it with five dollar increments. No refund if you do not use all the value. I saw many sites where they chained down everything loose outside to prevent theft. Pool and center are a joke. Yard should have been mowed at least a week ago. Picnic table and pad on the wrong side. Terrible water pressure, had to use our holding tank to wash dishes. - Charlie-Pattie
Jul 2019 - $30.00
Very disappointed. I had requested a site near the restrooms and pool as we had 2 handicapped people with us, who could walk but not far. They placed us on the furthest space at the back of the park. We had to call for someone to come out to cut the grass so we could locate and attach our black hose. It was a combination of permanent residents and day to day people and there were a lot of 'build up' campers with items stored/stacked next to them. Picnic table was bowed and splintered. We couldn't wait to leave the next day. - MimiM
Mar 2019 - $69.00
Gate at the entrance is a problem. One car ahead of us and we ended up blocking traffic with our toad. Nice folks at check in, even offered to help us back in. Wound our way around the campground to our spot only to find it very occupied. Had to go back to the office to get another, way in the back by a busy road. It looks to be an old mobile home site. It was pretty level in the grass. Good power and water. Very high dump. Park is loaded with Canadian snow birds. It is close to everything. We are only here 2 nights, it worked for us. - Tredguy

We actually enjoyed this park; however, the owner is protective of his property. There are less then forty spaces in this tight urban park, and he does keep an eye on everyone and everything that goes on. Although he has a limitation on dog size, he did allow our border collie to stay. I'm glad she is well trained and was able to wait until we were outside the park as we were told to make sure of when she "did her thing." It was this monitoring that made it uncomfortable. My wife told me he must have passed by the laundromat three different times while our clothes went through the washers. I took over for the drying and didn't see him at all. All this being said the park is in great condition and looks classic Florida with the white wrought iron fence surrounding it. It is relatively near the police and fire departments so there is the sirens that you occasionally hear; however, I wouldn't say it's a lot more then most other urban parks. The area surrounding it, while urban, is well kept, and I never felt afraid while here. A well kept magnet school for the public school system is next door; however, other than recess I didn't hear the kids nor did I see them at all. This is strictly an older adult park. For us it was a good value that permitted us to explore the Keys and watch the annual Rodeo that is held next to the YMCA. - bandirector

We stayed for an incredible price, $30 nightly. Assistant manager was very helpful and friendly. Gave us all kinds of directions to the keys and everglades. He even helped me with my computer, go figure. Bathrooms were newly tiled, even though we barely used them. - captain spoke
Feb 2014 - $30.00
Campground is mostly full of permanent residents in camping units of various states of disrepair. Roads are fine. Transient area is a grassy field which is kept mowed . Utilities there are only 30 amp. Restrooms were marginally clean. Washer dryer worked well. Lots of aggressive barking dogs and feral cats. We will not stay here again. There is no nighttime security, gates are wide open, and we learned later that the park is near a very bad neighborhood. Our bikes were locked to our RV and during the night thieves cut through the bike cable locks and stole our two bikes. They also stole our neighbors bike. Park management did not warn us of this potential problem and when we reported the theft they stated that it was unusual to have 3 stolen at once. They were not surprised of the theft. - KathyAndJimB
Apr 2013 - $30.00
Most horrible dirty park we were ever in. Grass was so high we could not even find the hookups. We should have left but had driven a long day and needed to get to the Keys, so we just dry camped and left early the next day. - coloradogirl42

We came to Gator Park to see the Gator show. It was convenient to stay here, as Gator Park was located halfway between our two stops. We stayed for a night and while the campground is not luxurious, we did not have any issues. There was no laundry room or central bathrooms. Our spot, #20, only had electric and water but we did see some sites with sewer. After the park closed at 5:00 PM, the area calmed down considerably and overnight we were not disturbed. I think $30 a night for what is offered is a bit high. $25 would be more appropriate. Would I recommend this park? For a single night. Would we come back? Not likely. We will explore another campground next time. - Dr. Moreau
Apr 2012 - $30.00
First, let me say the area is beautiful. Just a few miles west are some great air boat rides and Shark Valley is the place to go to see abundant wildlife. However, this RV park is by far the worst I have ever seen. The staff was rude and indifferent. The road was in poor condition and the grass at the campsites was tall. The water constantly looked and smelled rusty. It was so bad it even stained our shower and commode. Some full time residents were dumping waste water on the ground and a strong odor emanated from that. The power was unreliable as well. As we were leaving we discovered there was no water available at the dump station to clean our hose or the area. If you must stay here be sure to bring your own water and don't even try to bathe in that stuff. If you can at all, skip this place entirely. I sure do wish we had. - User2063
Apr 2009 - $30.00
The people were very rude and after their cursing they told us they make their money from the Europeans taking the airboat rides and don't need campers. Also they get their camping money from the Europeans staying with them. - tandkj

WiFi is HORRIBLE. We have been here 5 months and the owner claims we are the only ones to complain. The regular snowbirds say they gave up years ago and have their own data packages. There are supposed to be routers sprinkled through out the park. Even standing under them, the signal drops out after a minute or two.
The pool is warm and only busy the months of January and February. Lots of activities (in Dec- Feb.) if you are a joiner.
Karaoke every Friday night, if you wish. Propane and rig washing are also available. - Theresavs

When we checked in they gave us a site but it had a truck parked on it,, called the office they said to just pick one nearby. Good location & close the Keys, Park is not that quiet with bikes going in & out, Tiki bar on site has loud music on weekends till midnight doing karoke. Old laundry room, sites are tight & hard to get in to other vehicles in the way. Lots of snowbirds. Probably won't be back. - 1972 camaro

Mar 2018 - $75.00
We stayed 4 nights. Paid $75/night. Recommend un-hooking tow car in front of office. Recommend sites that are 3-5 sites away from trash/maintenance area (such as 113-115, 118-120, 355-357, 544-547 ... although a couple of those might be particularly attractive if you are towing a trailer because they're big corner lots providing good maneuverability and space). Our site was a back-in super large grassy area - no concrete patio, no picnic table and no fire pit. The parking space for our tow vehicle was asphalt. Amazingly no bug or mosquito issues. Telephone reservation process and check-in were easy and efficient (although I wish Sun would allow online reservations). Staff was friendly. We received an info packet at check-in including a map and calendar of activities. We were given green rubber wristbands to wear when using the pool or spa. All hook-ups worked perfectly. We had open sky with excellent DirecTV, Verizon cell and Sprint Wifi signals. We could not obtain park wifi at our site. The office said you can only get their wifi at the clubhouse. Neighbors were pleasant but kept to themselves. The park was clean and well-landscaped. The trash receptacle for RVer's is in the back of the park meaning you have to drive your trash to the trash area. There are a few "junky" mobile homes but most appeared to be neat and well-maintained. Some post-Irma repairs are still underway. The area outside of the park is dicey so we were glad they had a staffed guard gate. Inside the park we felt fairly safe although we were warned of petty theft (i.e. bicycles being stolen). No doubt the fencing around the CG could be easily jumped. We did not have any problems but it did make us uneasy. I definitely wouldn't suggest a single female go walking outside alone day or night. We'd stay here again if necessary but it wouldn't be our first choice. It's hard to find availability in the Miami area this time of year. - GottaGoNow
Jan 2018 - $75.00
Manager extremely rude. Campsites awful. Service terrible. Wouldn't stay again for free. Pool unusable. No paper or soap in restrooms. 95% trailer park. Staff doesn't care about transient campers - Geno1986
Aug 2017 - $30.00
The staff were really helpful and friendly. I stayed for a week on the Passport America rate so the price was great, too. The environment was comfortable and safe, as it's in a gated area with a guard shack. This has been converted into mostly permanent residents with some nomad spots, but unlike similar campgrounds this is a more upscale area. I only met a couple of residents (was mostly off-site) but they were friendly and sociable. I definitely recommend this campground. - Hal James

This is an Encore park and I expected better from them. The roads are paved and so are the spots. The spots are one on top of the other with barely room to open the slide. The utilities are on the wrong side so the cords and hoses have to be drug under the camper. Site 391 is possibly the worst one. A huge tree in the back so you can only back up so far. Then the utility hook ups are honestly at your door. After plugging in, the power would not work until hubby wiggled the plug. There was no room for our car. We had to park in a neighbors spot. We brought this to the attention of the manager with no satisfaction. - esta34950

This is a "trailer park" that allows RVs. Old park with sites not designed for modern RVs such as sewer dumps found under trailer parking sites, electrical connections with face plates missing and open to the elements. - Scenic Cruiser
