Nice Park....more upscale park than just down the road. Easy access to grocery store and Dollar General. Nice lakefront too. Many permanent homes for snowbirds too. Clean and would recommend. - unknown123
Feb 2013 - $38.00
We stayed here for 2 weeks while between homes. It is very clean and neat. We saw no evidence of activity for kids, although they may be welcome. There are many park models and winter residents in RV's. The sites available for rent are bank owned, and DO NOT have cable TV. Reception on antenna and Mi-fi are strong, with all networks available. There are two circles for pets. Since we will still have business locally, we will stay here again. - Yeager
Apr 2010 - $38.00
This is a great site and is really convenient to everything. The common facilities are very well kept, including the pool. The entire place is kept clean and the sites that are occupied by permanent residents are all very nice. A new owner has taken over and they are in the process of selling lots and it seems that for what they are giving, the prices are cheap. Very nice place to camp in Central Florida. They have docks for small boats. - laringrp

Outdated park, Management has no clue what they are doing, rude residents, roads are to small for a big RV. Park floods. No privacy at all. Just Rude senior citizens, not friendly at all. Town shuts down at 10 pm. - Unkown1
Mar 2018 - $35.00
Small older campground but clean. Has some seasonal residents but very nice. Everyone waves hello. On a lake so bring your kayaks. Very quiet and peaceful. Not big enough to keep tow attached at site if you have a 40 ft rig but you can still keep your tow at your site. - janandjack1
Apr 2016 - $26.00
This is Not a campground. This is a very old, run-down mobile home park that somehow got designated as an RV park. It is filled with old, dirty trailers or old RV's permanently parked. Individuals appear to be low income and are allowed to run businesses out of their personal trailers and the roads are filled with potholes. People are rude and crass and management is even worse. The only good thing about this park is the lakefront, but all these lots are reserved for year-round persons only and there is no access for transient people. Rules are used and enforced at-will. If you want to be treated with respect, have a level lot and meet nice, decent people, do not stay here. This is an ill-maintained park with no designated lot lines, dogs running off leash, and no additional parking for extra vehicles. DO NOT STAY HERE! - unknown123

Sunshine is a retirement village with a small handful of transient lots. I was informed I had to arrive before it got dark (I assume they don't want people setting up in the dark and disturbing the residents???) It is a beautiful and very well maintained by the ground staff and residents. The residents welcomed me with open arms and checked in on me often. (I'm a woman traveling alone). The pool area was great, clean and plenty of lounge space. I appreciated the the use of the floats you are able to borrow. The staff were friendly and helpful, even loaning me the cable I needed. The free wifi is limited to the club house, so I didn't really use it but T-mobile and Verizon worked well. - Samantha Day
Oct 2016 - $44.00
Went to this location because its listed in the Passport America book. Called on Sunday to make reservation but no answer. Left name/number for call back. Received no call back on Monday either. Drove 3 hours on Monday to get there and find they don't take Passport anymore. Office staff explained there policy's. Would have stayed anyway, but told they are already on winter rates. In October? I don't think so. Looked to be mostly permanent RVs with some transient spaces. The road in from hwy was paved. Narrow roads and had some trouble getting turned around. We moved on. - Libby

This is the perfect park. Location is quiet, right next to an orange grove. Extremely well kept property with excellent staff. Lots to do, rec room, library with internet, very clean laundry with lots of machines, great pool. They even have a seat in the pool for handicap access. The streets within the park are blacktop, great for bike riding. Level sites. Can't say enough great things about the park. The manager and two of the hosts are great people. - getawaygirl

Modest place to park your RV. Electrical hookups and water in a parking lot near to the lake. The dump station is right there in the gravel parking lot with a blue boy black waste tank to use if desired. Great value and not far from Sebring and Lake Placid, FL. We would come here again. - rwarner22

Small park 5 1/2 miles off of Hwy 27 in Lake Placid. The park is rustic & offers Florida at it's finest. Located on Lake Istakpoga (fifth largest lake in all of FL - 25,000 acres large), this is a fisherman's paradise. There are about 20 covered boat slips & a ramp that are at your disposal & they sell bait as well. management was beyond friendly & dog's of all shapes and sizes are welcomed here (keep em out of the gator infested water). Their monthly rental's ran $390 - annual monthly were only $245 & you hook up your own power with Glades Electric . I would stay there again. - wendylynn

The manager here is very intelligent and thorough with what is needed. You will like her. The resort is very active with card and board games, golf and bowling leagues, and shuffle board and horseshoes. The pool appeared clean and maintained, but I did not utilize that amenity. The resort has a healthy blend of new and old trailers/homes throughout; some have concrete pads, and others have a level plot with plenty of space. The leaves are cleaned up daily (yes daily), allowing the streets to remain clean and encouraging bugs to live elsewhere. The surrounding campers and tenants are great people. This is a product of the resorts organization and care, I feel. Overall, the resort is great! We will definitely utilize their services again in the future whenin the area. - Josh2426
Feb 2010 - $18.00
Stayed a week here in 2009 with Passport America discount, but this time decided to stay a whole month. Wrong move! People are friendly, but the management leaves a lot to be desired! Lost our names to get propane for our coach, almost ran out of gas because of it, and then made it out like it was our fault. They tried to charge us more for our electric than we were supposed to pay. They tried to make us pay for the people that were parked there before us. Make sure to write down your numbers for your electric use. The management is not very customer friendly at all! We also were put up front along the wall, and the traffic all day and night was pretty loud. Will not stay there again, will find another park. We came with friends, and they will not be back next year either, neither will the people that parked next to us. We heard a lot of bad reviews. Hope they get new management soon! - GMP
Apr 2009 - $16.00
This is a Passport America campground and our stated rate reflects that. Although the campground has 180 sites, only about 10 are for short term rentals. Many of the sites have broken facilities. We had to have water/sewer from one site and electrical from another. Many of the permanent sites are pretty ratty looking. It is on a large lake, but the permanent people have this locked up. Pool and rec room are nice. WiFi (free) was very weak, but I was able to use it as I had an antenna. I got no service without it. There were no showers that we could find. There was a dog barking and loud talking and music well into the night. We go this way on a regular basis, but will not be stopping here again. - Florida Native

Aug 2018 - $65.00
Arrived on a Friday night. Upon arrival at assigned cabin, porch light was inoperative as was AC, one of two light bulbs over bathroom sink and ice maker in refrigerator. Three remotes available for TV but no instructions as to which remotes to use and channels available. No office staff available over weekend. Maintenance man was unfamiliar with AC but got it working by beating on compressor only to have AC fail again next day. Called AC Repair who found corroded battery terminals in thermostat. Maintenance replaced burned out bulbs. Ice maker was initially turned off but renter dropped handle to turn on. It would seem that someone would check that everything is in good working order before renting a cottage. Very disappointing. - Sea2river

Typical rv park with long term residents and rv lots mixed in. Very friendly. Office person excellent at check in. Pools nice, laundry clean. Came back a 2nd time. Lots a decent size...not crammed in. Wifi not at site. - K Willie
Aug 2014 - $24.00
This is not a park that is set up for transient campers. The roads are narrow and sites very small. it must be a problem backing into a site in season. Half the park - are very nice permanents. The pool was great this time of year. Large library. Very large laundry and reasonable. No cable or wifi that I could pick up. Garbage p/u twice a week and no dumpsters. No shade. - Libby

Clean !!! "Woodys RV Resort" has been around for a long time and has a lot of loyal residents who return every year. This year there is a new owner who is really making some nice changes and there is a whole new friendly attitude throughout the place. We had a family reunion at Woody's RV Resort. There was over 50 family and friends. Family reunion in their club house. Sites were large. Cabin-Park models and Tiny house. Yes they had vacation rentals in a beautiful Tiny House! wow- Woody's RV had everything we needed from lodging to renting their club house. Everything was great. Thank you for making memories for my mom 90 years old Birthday party! Tiny House is fun but they also have full sizes Park models with full kitchen and living room - weatherford5

Friendly park close to all interests. Spent a month. The sites were level, the amenities such as the pool and shuffleboard area were in good condition. Laundry, bath and shower rooms were well maintained. The park has many activities such as shuffleboard, Bingo and cards. Field trips, potlucks and other activities are well organized. This park is located near Highland Hammock State park which is a wonderful CCC park. Sebring has everything you would need other than Club stores. Sebring is amongst citrus groves. Plenty of Fresh water lakes for great fishing. Shooting ranges in nearby towns. - Dave's Wife

The kids loved the hiking trails. One day was spent in The Gulfat Venice Beach, worth the 2+ hour trip. The gate is locked at night and the rangers run a tight ship. We just showed up and they allowed us to drive around an pick a spot. Many spots are tight for larger campers. Bring bug spray. - Crop Guy
