Very decent park with paved pull-thru sites and round table, 4 chairs & fire ring. We stayed at site 33 which is the second pull-thru into the park. Plenty long enough for 35 ft coach & tow. We had a slight view of the very brackish "lake" that is inside the park where you can catch & release. WiFi was excellent and good for streaming. Very satellite friendly site too. Sites are a little close but not bad. Very convenient to downtown and hop on/hop off trolley comes right into park. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at St. Augustine Beach KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Tickets for the hop on/hop off trolley are sold right at the check-in desk since the trolley comes right into the park. Great way to get an overview of the city. If you're there at Christmas time through the beginning of Feb., the lights in the downtown area are beautiful. Many attractions: Fountain of Youth park, the Old Jail, the fort on the waterfront, wineries, chocolate factory & of course the beaches.

The park is expensive because of location. There was a sign saying bathrooms would be updated in 2019. However, the bathroom near the office was actually muddy. There did not seem to be an attempt to keep it clean. If they can address this issue the park would be a better value. We camped at St. Augustine Beach KOA in a Motorhome.

Traveling full-time in a 38-foot coach we stayed 6-nights in a site for big rigs (site #34 - Pd $63.66/night) This was our first visit here. We've stayed in over 400 RV Parks and as far as WIFI goes, this RV park places in the Top Ten! We give this park 5-Stars for the fantastic WIFI! Our AT&T phones worked great here too. This park is a small well-maintained park. The staff is very friendly and fantastic. Big coaches need a gravel pad, so we also give this RV Park a 5-star rating for the paved pad. Some RV Parks also have very narrow roads which make backing up very difficult, we found this park to have plenty of room to maneuver our coach. Some RV Parks are so dusty that one has to clean their coach after a stay, but not here, the dust on our coach was very minimal compared to many other parks. Our satellite did receive reception. Had chairs, table, and BBQ on our site. The bad...No gate! I know many people do not like gates, but the bottom line is, gates do provide extra security. This is a great place to stay and we recommend it! We camped at St. Augustine Beach KOA in a Motorhome.

Interior roads and some sites are paved, but not very level. There's a small selection of cable channels. We got an escort to our site, which we always appreciate! Like most KOA's, it's pricey. Listed as St. Augustine Beach, but the beach is a mile away. The lake is more of a large pond than a lake & big rigs would pull in facing away from the lake, so not seeing it's worth paying extra. Bathrooms were clean, but need updating. Our upgraded paved site included a nice patio set and a gas grill. Our neighbors' park gas grill caught fire due to the previous user's grease, so we passed on using ours. Pool looked good, but was too cool for us. One lady in the office was super pleasant. We camped at St. Augustine Beach KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

A 3 day hop on-hop off narrated trolley tour pass is available at the office for about $25. Their shuttle into St Augustine will pick up & drop off at the campground which eliminates finding & paying for parking in St Augustine. It's a great way to see the sights of St Augustine. Just be aware the last shuttle back to the campground is about 4:30pm.

Conveniently located to St. Augustine. Very well kept campground with friendly, and helpful staff. Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate and we stayed during a cold spell, or we would have used more of the amenities. Site sloped considerably in front so we had to park right on the rear edge of the site in order to be level. We camped at St. Augustine Beach KOA in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We got a pull through bordering the lake which, after we moved, was magnificent. The problem is that for motorhomes as they direct you, the front window does not face the lake. It is possible, with very tight maneuvering to drive around so that you face the lake and then all is quite magnificent. Would only recommend that trouble for multiple days stay. This of course means that you have to put the utilities under the coach. Those sites were not level, so we had to make lots of modifications. The place is well located, but the drives are very tight and we had to drive over a curb to make it. It is overpriced as with other comments. Again, we really enjoyed looking at the lake. We camped at St. Augustine Beach KOA in a Motorhome.

As with most KOA's, overpriced and cramped. Our pull through site included a concrete patio with table and chairs and gas grill. Tight getting in site for big rig. Asked for a site where we could get satellite - but not given one. Biggest problem (why I gave it a 4) was bad electrical power. They DID look at it twice, but never resolved. Luckily didn't need AC. We camped at St. Augustine Beach KOA in a Motorhome.

Had to stop in on the way to Disney. I was on a bind because it was 1:00 in the morning. Check in was easy, and efficient. Sites were a little tight and had some permanent folks there. Plenty of room lengthwise, we were towing jeep. Sites were level and it was quiet. The bath houses were dated but in good shape. My only issue and it was a big one was the price. We stayed there 5 hours andbit was $91. I thought this was outrageous. I will know better next time. We camped at St. Augustine Beach KOA in a Motorhome.

We stayed here on the way to Key West, this park is an old park, it is not roomy and it is not fancy. Sites are on dirt (packed) and there is a little grass but it is quiet and that was a plus. I feel this park needs a make-over and make modernized improvements to make it nice. We camped at St. Augustine Beach KOA in a Motorhome.

Stayed here for two nights over a weekend to spend time with friends. Pull through sites were nice - none of the sites are particularly private, but the ones that are lakeside do have a bit of shrubbery and trees in between as well as nice little patios with patio furniture and grills. The pool and bathrooms looked well cared for and the campground folks were very nice and helpful during check in. The fountains in the lake were pretty and it was a nice little campground to walk around. KOAs are generally overpriced and this one was no exception, but it was handily placed in St Augustine Beach with easy access in and out, and a nice place for a short weekend with friends. We camped at St. Augustine Beach KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $76.00
Overall Rating:

The park is convenient to St Augustine, but I rate it satisfactory for value as $76.41/night seems high. We tend to stay at state and county parks due to the openness of the sites that you don't get at commercial locations. I will say the way the sites are situated along the pond on "Fisherman Way" provides the best use of the spaces with good views of the pond and minimal viewing of neighbors. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Although the site was a pull-through, there is an incline up to the center of the pad where it is fairly level. For our 30' camper, this was not a problem. We noticed longer rigs that required extensive blocking under the rear stabilizers and the front of the rig was nose down to achieve level. We parked our truck across the front of the space as pulling into the space would have left our truck out in the road. This was not a problem, just something to be aware of. The cable was knocked out by a storm the morning of our arrival, but we used our antenna and pulled in numerous channels with no problem. We camped at St. Augustine Beach KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tickets for the Old Town Trolley can be purchased in the office and the on site shuttle pickup occurs at 8 minutes past the hour. We just missed the pickup and drove into town and parked at the Old Time Parking lot for free. Getting into town was very easy. The St Augustine Distillery tour was great. Loved their Florida Mule.

Park overall looks like it hasn't been cleaned in months. Our site hadn't been touched before our arrival or after I requested it

As a KOA campground it needs more owner involvement. Very noisy at night. Needs upgrades, the web site shows level sites!! NOT. Need releveling and new pavement. They need a landscaper to clean the sites before and during your stay. We camped at St. Augustine Beach KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
