50 RV Parks near Tierra Verde, Florida
May 2018 - $45.00
Not impressed. Stayed here in a big rig in April 2018. First, this park is really a trailer park with RV sites. It is quiet with full, easy hook ups. The staff here seems non-existent and the park isn't anything to brag about. The site was grass and sand and small for my 43' rig. It's also a Thousand Trails/Encore park, and really makes me glad I didn't sign up with them because as a full-timer, I've stayed in many of these parks and they ALL are lacking in just basic upkeep and attractiveness. This park is easy to get to from I-75/275 and the full-time residents seem to be a mix of old folks, manual laborers, and the occasional Metallica enthusiast. As a bonus it's also close to Dollar General which seems to be a nightly haunt for the park's residents as every evening I watch them journey to the DG and return with their small bags of treasures. I found the price a bit high for what I got, a staff who didn't seem to know or care that I was there, and a small, barely maintained site. Next time through I will research more thoroughly to find something better. - Beware thyself
Jul 2019 - $43.00
Well maintained, clean, friendly staff. The park appears to be a former all manufactured home park slowly being converted to all RV. The old concrete pad on my site should be removed and replaced with something newer. All in all, very convenient location to shopping and the beaches. - Art_Sheila
May 2019 - $1.00
During winter months, great activities going on. Pretty quiet now though. We stay here a couple times a year, love this area. Personnel, office ladies and annuals area always nice, friendly and helpful. We've been here in October, December, January and May. Usually stay two or three weeks each time. Pools are fabulous, just right temp, gorgeous views, plenty of pool lounges, tables and the hot tub always up and running. - Linda Fuchs
Feb 2019 - $84.00
We came in early in Feb 1st 2019 left Mar 31 2019. Gave no discount for coming in early $84.00 per night I paid $1450 for Feb and $1550 for March the manager wouldn't even give me the average of what Feb 2019 would of been. The propane gas is $5.00 gallon way to expensive and over charged on electric. No WiFi to speak of. I told her I wouldn't be coming back next year didn't seem too care because it seem to be all about making money with out regards to the customer they have. The lots have broken concrete and built for smaller campers 20 years ago. Won't be going back. - Steph-Sharon 2019
Oct 2019 - $36.00
Stayed three nights (Site 153 waterfront). This is a Pinellas County Park and perhaps one of the finest in Florida. Check-in took all of 90 seconds with friendly staff. Site was deep, roomy, private, level packed sand. Extremely lush side vegetation, canopied tree cover, and picnic table. Bugs, especially the "no-see-ums," were an issue. I am still itching! Access road rutted from recent heavy rains so keep it slow and watch for overhanging branches. Nearby bath house was clean, but extremely dated. Reliable electricity (30A) and water onsite. Dump station on the way out. - KayakSmurf
Oct 2019 - $40.00
This Park is NOT Big Rig Friendly. If you have visited the park and found a spot you can fit into and have enough room to back into that is the only way I would reserve a back in spot. The roads are narrow and there are trees everywhere along the side of the road. Even though our spot was supposed to be 24x98 there were trees right on the edge of the road so there was no way to make the swing backing in with a 40' MH. We have been full timing for a year and half, this is the first park we have not been able to get into our site. I like the layout of the campground and the park is quite nice also. We saw a few sites we could have made work but they are very limited and as stated I would want to see the park first before booking if you have a Big Rig. Even the exit is very narrow and little room for error. - Chris Anderson
May 2019 - $34.00
We loved this park! We stayed the week after Memorial Day. The campsite is long and private. Even though our neighbors are close by there is vegetation between campsites that makes you feel like you are in a private location. The roads and campsites are packed sand, easy to drive on. Roads are windy and narrow with many trees, just take it slow and you will be fine. The bathrooms were spotless, they were dated and did NOT have air conditioning but were in good shape. Our dogs loved the dog beach. We also visited the fort and the museum. We had good cell coverage with Verizon but no service with ATT. We got 60+ tv channels from our antenna. Each campsite was electric and water only with a dump station at the entrance to the park. We will definitely camp here again, but not during the summer due to the heat. There are many restaurants close by on St Pete Beach. There is also a Publix not far from the campground. - On the Road Again with Dave and Christie
Sep 2019 - $72.00
Staff were rude and we felt like we were monitored way too closely while suspicious activity was occurring two sites over. The site had a patio that needed to be swept and cleaned up. It's the only campground we found in St. Pete area with trees and vegetation. I only walked from the trailer to the truck and was bitten by chiggers. Laundry could be cleaner. There was no fire ring but we told if we wanted one to move it ourselves from the next site. - Cherylac
May 2019 - $78.00
Nice location right on Long Bayou. Lots of amenities and close to Madeira beach and shopping.
My only complaint was how close together the sites were.
Lots of good bird watching. - Fran_Dawn
Apr 2019 - $63.00
5 night stay in a 36" Class A. Our site had a broken and uneven pad. Sites are very close together with many permanent campers. Location is behind a commercial warehouse area. It is located next to the water so you put in a kayak, canoe or paddle board. Not a resort type experience if that is what you are looking for. There is a long hiking/biking path nearby but it mostly runs close to the very busy roads that surround this campground. Groceries, hardware and other stores are close as are many pawn shops, bail bonds and other colorful places. Roads were tight with many trucks/cars parking close to road or overhanging onto road. - rvingwithcats
Jan 2018 - $40.00
The park is very well kept and everything is clean. The sites are very close together. - Dana Andrews
Nov 2017 - $62.00
Rather small sites with little seperation, no trees or shrubs between. Modern facility but no cable TV and poor internet service. Restrooms are modern and clean but showers are small & minimal. - woodsboss
Jun 2016 - $28.00
Gravel is only under the trailer, there's a concrete pad to step on and to set chairs on. The tow vehicle is parked on blacktop. Everyone is friendly, the park is very clean and their working to improve new sites. This is a adult park. It's close to the beaches, lots of restaurants and too many places for my wife to shop. When I come back to this area I will be coming here. We stayed for one week. - Lindas Old Man
May 2019 - $40.00
Have stayed here several times as the closest CG to our friends in St. Petersburg but would prefer other choices if available. The folks are friendly, but this is a typical older FL snowbird or permanent resident park. The first site we were assigned would not allow us to level our coach. The pull-thru we were then given was great. There is no cable for short-term visitors, but our satellite and OTA antenna worked great. Verizon phone service was OK but data service was extremely poor at our spot. The park only provides WiFi at the clubhouse which was unusual. Noise was not a problem while we were there...our site was well off the main road. There are two exits from the park. The front one (entrance also) only allows right turns and is into a very busy road. The back exit (tour the park to get to it) is at a traffic light controlled intersection hence much safer. - Grumpier99
Oct 2018 - $56.00
Stayed here for an overnight while visiting St. Pete area. For an overnight, it was OK, but would not stay a minute longer than necessary. The staff upon checkin was great; we were escorted to our site which was fine. Site was grass with a concrete patio the size of a postage stamp. The grass on the site needed mowing. Park had a lot of permanent/long term RVs and park models, some more run-down than others. The biggest issue was the noise from Gandy Blvd. which abuts the park. Even though we asked for, and were given, a spot on the interior of the park, the noise from cars and motorcycles drag racing all night was terrible...Walmarts are quieter than this place. I had to resort to ear plugs in the middle of the night. We will not return. - ajbettencourt
Mar 2017 - $45.00
We were looking for a place in St Petersburg to stay for my brother's wedding. This place served our needs perfectly. Reasonably priced, very clean, full hookups, and very pet friendly. Everyone was friendly, we enjoyed activities offered. We arrived after his IRS and we made a simple call and were greeted and escorted to our site. They were very helpful in assisting with hook ups and instructions for park. Water pressure was great. Showers very clean. Cement patios = less dirt drug in. Only downside for some may be no tv if short stay. We definitely will return. Thank you Roberts for a wonderful experience!!!!! - Jngdjg
Jul 2017 - $30.00
Older RV park but well maintained. Gravel sites surrounded by lawn. Some shaded and some open. Some sites are short so make sure you ask for a long site if you're in a big rig. The 50 amp plugs receptacles were installed upside down yet the power was fine. It appears that about 75% of the sites are for full timers and the remainder for transients. Nice pool and fitness room. Only 20 minutes to St. Pete beach. Rate reflects Passport America discount. We will stay here again in our motorhome if we need to visit St Pete. - lmg
Nov 2014 - $45.00
Things I liked were the Staff was very pleasant and helpful. The long term snowbirds and permanents are the priority here and they were most friendly and those we talked with raved about the place. Many have been there for years. The location of this campground is great as it is minutes to St Petersburg or Bradenton. Access for big rigs is good as the roads are paved and wide enough to maneuver. Pool and spa area is beautiful and virtually on the water with magnificent views. The pool was heated and very comfortable for swimming. Not so good things are short timers are not the priority here. Sites are not so level. I needed to drag out the blocks to lift the front end higher. Each site has a slab for outside sitting, and some were in pretty shabby condition. Picnic tables are real rough as they appear many years old, and do not appear to have ever seen any paint. Visual appeal for our site was less than ideal. The dumpsters were not in some remote part of the campground as is typical in most. We were located across the road from dumpsters and storage areas. We spent two weeks watching everyone arrive daily, often in noisy trucks, to dump their trash in the dumpster. It was a lot of undesired noise and an unsightly view. But only a few sites in the 40?s numbers are subject to this. The spa was not working during our stay. WIFI signal was strong at our site 43 however the bandwidth was poor. We heard others comment on how poor the WIFI worked. Cable is not ?turned on? at any given site. We were told we must go in town and contact Brighthouse to have cable turned on at our site. I assume at our cost. We did not pursue having it turned on. TV Reception was not so good for us. Most evening TV shows we were used to were unavailable. - Denny Pike
Feb 2013 - $28.00
Nice enough RV park, typical snowbird park. Sites are tight, the back in's in the center are literally back to back RV's. The pool and hot tub were operational, clean, and nice. The game room was seldom if ever used while we were there, 2 free pool tables, and a ping pong table. We didn't take in the breakfast meals, or other things they had, but heard good reviews. This is mostly a snowbird location, has nice older large trees and shade, electric/water/sewage was not a problem all worked well. Very good restaurant within walking distance (just watch the traffic while crossing). The rate reflects a monthly rate, would definitely stay here again. - Robnmo
Apr 2019 - $22.00
The pictures are VERY misleading! Not nearly as nice or "tranquil" as those pictures appear. First impression, assistant manager is very rude!!! Multiple comments about her on all sites. We were staying for an extended stay. Were being the operative word! Very clearly allows some to break rules while enforcing the rules strictly on others. Manager is very rude also. Never allowed to actually talk to an owner. NOT kid friendly at all. Has a pool and thats it. Not a nice one at that. So disappointed. Should've known you get what you pay for!! - Kalynn
Mar 2019 - $30.00
We stayed here in February 2018 for a week and fell in love with the laid- back old Florida atmosphere. Booked for two months for 2019, good move! The office staff, and workers are all great and take pride in this little gem. Cleaning and maintenance/upkeep are on-going daily. We stayed in site T26 with our 40 foot motorhome, 50amp, water, no sewer, but honey wagon service is available Monday- Saturday. No cable service at this site. No satellite connectivity due to many trees, we didn't mind. OTA TV channels plentiful and clear. Many activities to take advantage of or not. Have signed up to come back next year for two months. - GED
Feb 2018 - $1.00
Very nice park in 1970. Everything is too small for the number of sites. 2 shuffleboards, 2 pool tables, 1/2 court basketball - that's it for sports. Clubhouse seats 80, 200 sites. You climb over each other. Nice small pool. Has a '50s neglected vibe but there's a lot of man-made noise, leaf blowers at 8AM, 24 hour train is 1/8 mile. Heavy bugs with no control and you can't pitch a bugscreen porch. No internet. And, alas, the park is a 45 minute drive to anywhere. We moved on. - sprchief
Mar 2017 - $40.00
My parents have stayed as snowbirds in this park for 10+ years. My husband and I have traveled down here to visit them each year for all 10 years at different times of the winter. We have never had a bad stay. The pool is always warm and clean. The restrooms are clean with plenty of hot water. The laundry room is well equipped. There is shuffle board, bocce, BINGO, cards, dominos, other game nights if you are interested. there are other social events and everyone is always made to feel welcome but never pushed to join if not interested. The people are very friendly and warm. Fiesta Grove is a fun park I would highly recommend and hope to use when I retire! - RVr4L1fe
May 2015 - $15.00
We stayed here for 9 months developing our RV inspection business. It was cheaper than most for winter rates, but you get what you pay for. For a full time RVer my impression is this is an old park model park for snowbirds. This makes it tough for the bigger RVs to get into. If management is there, they will help you get in.
In the busy season there are vehicles everywhere. With the tight roads navigating the park can be a challenge.
The sites have minimal asphalt and it is mostly old and deteriorating. Most sites slope from back to front with sewer located in the back. The grass is mostly weeds and there are lots of ants. Sitting out most times of the year is difficult due to mosquitoes and no-see-ums.
Water pressure is good and the free Wi-Fi, outside of the busy season, is adequate.
You are at least 30 minutes from the beach depending on traffic. The closest grocery store is 7 miles away. There is a Dollar General about a half mile away.
The park is located right next to train tracks. I counted anywhere from two to ten trains a day with excessive whistle blowing as the train crosses Bayshore Rd. If you are hard of hearing the vibrations will alert you to their presence. LOL
Rates: Yearly $344/mo plus electric, monthly in the busy season is $772, $399 out of the busy season. Nightly is $39/nt in season, $30 out of season. - Howard Jaros
May 2015 - $15.00
Recently new managers have done a great job of improving this park. Very clean, well kept, and friendly, helpful staff. Wifi worked excellent.
We would definitely stay here again. - dagopapa
