Tips for other Campers:

TIght access into and out of site. Other tow vehicles infringed on access. Also a bit noisy as there is an overnight truck stop adjacent to the campground.

This is a good overnight location; however, the sites need some gravel. They are grass and dirt. Since it is summer the park was empty. My site was super long, probably 100 ft and was in the back away from the noise of the truck stop. We camped at Wildwood RV Village (formerly Wildwood KOA) in a Motorhome.

Ive stayed here twice so far...first time was pleasant and uneventful. Second time, not so much....Booked and paid in advance. When I checked in, they billed me an additional amount, and didn't let me know. Tried to give me a back in spot, when I specifically paid for a pull thru, due to the ramp on the toy hauler. Power went out during my stay. Booked in advance again this year, only paid portion of the total cost...despite specifying a specific amount....they charged my card the full amount. Place is like a comedy of errors that wind up costing you money. I'd avoid this place at all costs... We camped at Wildwood RV Village (formerly Wildwood KOA) in a Travel Trailer.

Stayed for one night enroute to southern Florida. Very nice registration personnel. Site was very close to neighbor. Would probably choose another camp in the area. We camped at Wildwood RV Village (formerly Wildwood KOA) in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We stayed for six days. The campground has paved roads but grass and sand sites. Office staff was very nice and friendly. The showers had lots of hot water and excellent water pressure and very clean. Fast food and gas available nearby and it is convenient to I75 but not much noise. Only downfall for us was our next door neighbors both worked and his diesel truck left at 5:30 a.m. and their vehicle lights shined into our camper. Our day started earlier than expected most days. We camped at Wildwood RV Village (formerly Wildwood KOA) in a Motorhome.

The staff were very nice and helpful. Our escort made sure we had all amenities before leaving and returned to check on us. However the site is so small we could barely get our slide outs out. All sand very dirty and no where to sit outside. We would not stay here again. We camped at Wildwood RV Village (formerly Wildwood KOA) in a Motorhome.

We stayed here from Nov to May of 2015-16. We had a new site, site #95, great 50 amp, good water pressure. The bandwidth of the Wi-Fi slow on occasion because of usage but was adequate. The staff was OUTSTANDING.

This was a good jumping off point to visit the north central Florida area, 1 hour to Orlando, 45 minutes to the gulf. We loved this place. The monthly rate was $499 plus electricity, with mail service too. We camped at Wildwood RV Village (formerly Wildwood KOA) in a Motorhome.

Stayed one night in a very long pull thru, right across from the fenced dog park. Very handy for us to let the dogs run. Our site was wide enough and very long. Easy in and out for our 42-footer plus toad. Would stay again for an overnight, but not a destination by any means. We camped at Wildwood RV Village (formerly Wildwood KOA) in a Motorhome.

We stayed here 3 nights while visiting friends in The Villages. We stopped in early to make sure they had a site long enough for our 42-foot coach. The campground is handy off Highway 44 and I-75 but is certainly an older park in need of grooming and improvements. Our site was very close to the next one. Office staff was helpful. We might stay here again only if other area RV parks were not available. We camped at Wildwood RV Village (formerly Wildwood KOA) in a Motorhome.

Rate reflects monthly rate. Stayed a month, but won't be back next year. Most of the regular sites are too small to fully deploy the awnings. The end spots have plenty of room, but they won't rent them for a single month stay. The large, premium sites aren't discounted, so it would be less expensive to rent two standard sites next to each other to get adequate awning room. There are also several wide sites near the bath house in the back, but these are reserved for staff (who haven't been recruited yet for next year). Several staff members have moved on to other locations, and mentioned friction with management as the reason. The friction wasn't apparent to me, and everyone seemed really nice and helpful. Tips for other Campers:

Nearby Brownwood is a section of The Villages and has plenty of nice restaurants and a Publix market. Alliance RV is on the way to Brownwood should you need parts or service.

We needed a place to pull into for the night on our way back from Georgia to S. Florida. Stopped at this place because we had few other choices in the area and it was late at night. Campers are packed so tight I nearly hit someone's awning when pulling into a spot. The first site we pulled into had no working power so we had to relocate. The second site had a badly leaking water faucet. Overall this is a run down, WAY overpriced dirt parking lot. I would never ever stop here again. I will sleep in a rest area first. We camped at Wildwood RV Village (formerly Wildwood KOA) in a Fifth Wheel.

Excellent location from the FL turnpike. Where the turnpike ends at the I-75. Nice dog park big enough to let our Danes run without getting dirty since the area is covered with a dry mulch. Pull thru spots so no disconnecting of the tow vehicle. We camped at Wildwood RV Village (formerly Wildwood KOA) in a Motorhome.

Great location, right off I-75. Large sites, easy in and out! Fenced dog run, and the bathrooms are very clean. The sites are sandy/dirt with limited shade. No patios, and the picnic tables are in rough condition. Noise from truck stop and highway, but if running air or fan inside RV, you can't hear it! Good for a one night stop.
