Just drive on by, or turn around and go to the Williston Crossing across from the Driftwood Restaurant. - joybells

No need to return to this park - petehenry

Sorry for the bad review, but this place has nothing but grassy and poorly packed lime rock sites. Nothing else. No clubhouse, shower facilities, restrooms or even a staffed office. Don't bother stopping. This is an old trailer park with several mobile homes still present. There is a lot of teenage traffic on the property after dark. Highly suspect possible drug trades going on. The cars would come in, stop for a few minutes with another car and then both would leave. Take my advise, drive on by. - jazzman

RUSTIC ALERT! We love Devil's Den, but be aware it is sparse. If you are a scuba diver, this is a great place for training, practice, and the dive in the underground lake is pretty cool. During low water levels you may need to walk over a few rocks, but most days you swim in from the platform and it is a nice spring dive. There is a full service dive shop on site for rentals and fills. The campground is large, quiet, shaded, and relaxing. We go there with friends and have cookouts, campfires, and enjoy the weekend. The signs say NO PETS, but in the campground it is no problem and everyone there has a pet. If you want excitement and entertainment, this might be too quiet for you. If you want to relax and camp in the woods (even in a large rig), Devil's Den is for you. - Scuba_Diver
Oct 2010 - $22.00
Second time we have been here. Not much has changed. Fewer picnic tables, and now they charge to use the pool. It is really for the divers to train in, not for the campers to use as a swimming pool. Be aware that some of the back flow preventors on the faucets do not work correctly, and will cause an issue. Check the faucet before you set up in a spot. The place is very quiet, it was a great spot for our group of 9. - MODguy
Mar 2009 - $22.00
Park is mainly for diving. They have a different sections for tents and RV's. The sites are not real level, but not bad. Roads are dirt. Lots of grass. A few picnic tables, lots of shade. No fire rings (bring or make your own). No playground. Very quiet. You will be asked to sign a waver, whether or not you are diving. Camp ground looks very under used. Our group of 5 had the place to ourselves. - mod guy

Very nice park we have stayed at before and will likely return to. Paved roads and sites nicely spaced and with good services. Facilities extremely nice and well maintained. Friendly staff and residents. The park is well treed with very few areas open to the sky. Have never been able to get sattelite signal so when reserving asked for a sattelite friendly site as we would be there on NASCAR Daytona weekend. I was advised it would be no problem and asked again on arrival to ensure it wasn't missed. When I got to the site it was obvious there would be no sattelite so I figured I'd use the park cable. The park cable is less than perfect. Lots of channels do not come in (CBS, ABC etc) and the ones that do are poor quality. Had the park cable person out to fiddle with it but still very poor. Next time I'll make sure I don't need to use TV during my stay. Wi-fi is like most parks.....works occasionally. Nice park but be prepared for all the trees. - Kbob
Feb 2019 - $75.00
This park is well maintained and manicured. It is quite large, with over 400 sites including many park model homes. Most of the sites are occupied by permanent or long-term residents, but there are transient sites available. We thought it was quite pricey but it worked for us to fill a few days in between state parks. The bathhouses were clean and there two laundry rooms on site with low prices for both washing and drying. There are many activities to participate in here and the residents were very friendly and welcoming. The only negative, besides the price, was very low water pressure at our site and in the showers. The roads within the park are good - spacious with no tight turns. - Cape Cod kayaker
Feb 2019 - $64.00
Stayed here for a week during early February. RV park is lovely - nicely spaced sites - some fully wooded, and other sites open and sunny. We had a pull through site along Covered Bridge Road and there was a lot of cars and construction traffic going back and forth all day so it was quite noisy. There are lots of seasonal campers here - found it hard to break into social groups. A couple of dings for this RV park. The laundry room was busy - all washers were being used and found that some of the dryers were out of order and made for a long wait. Also used the showers and one shower stall had no hot water and very little water pressure. Had to move to the next shower stall to get decent pressure and warm water. There were no "grab bars" in the shower stalls which I feel is not compliant with ADA regulations. For the price paid, we've had better laundry and shower experiences in FL state parks. Not a lot to do here - had to travel long distances to get to places to kayak, beaches, etc. If you are content to hang around the RV park, this could be the place for you. Not a lot of stores or restaurants in the immediate area. Went to Gainesville for major shopping. - Big Rig 365

This is a camp for a man and his horse and its perfect for them. WiFi was not good. Very spacious and quite park. Walking trail we tried in the nearby state park have all been chopped up by horses and are very differcult to walk on. Didnt want to try another. The local town Dunnellon at swampys was lovely for lunch. Looks like a ride on the river would have been nice if we got there earlier. Nobody is around in the office so you have to ring. Feb 2018 - $45.00
I have a 45 ft motor home and alway worry about space when parking. The lots were extremely spacious and fairly level for grass sites, I travel with leveling blocks so it wasn't an issue. Everything was kept very clean. The lady who works there is very nice and stops by to talk from time to time. Very laid back place, was told I could pick my spot upon arrival which I liked. I would definitely like to return for a longer period of time. - Homeiswhereyouparkit1
Jan 2018 - $50.00
Overall a good campground, but the price is too high for what they offer. It was $45, plus an extra $5 per person over 2 people, so it was $50 + tax and cash only for us. Plus: wide open and very easy to maneuver. I asked for a pull-thru, but none were open, but it was very easy to back my 35' 5th wheel (and could have pulled through 2 back to back back-ins if I had wanted). Bathroom very clean & well stock, though they were chilly one cool evening. Grass sites are not all level, some have lots of large ant mounds, no fire rings, no picnic tables. No one was at the campground, office was closed the 2 days I was there. I was asked to leave cash in the box by the office. I had misunderstood when I made the reservation - I thought it was $50 for both nights, but it was per night. It just does not have enough amenities to charge that much (and most of the other RV parks around do not appear to be this much). BUT, this place is a horse ranch - so a lot of people had their horses and trailers. Maybe the cost includes having your horse there or something. I would not come back here. Oh, and it had for sale signs in front of it (Jan 2018). - 5th Wheel Family

If you transport horses, this is the campground for you. Its a no frills CG but makes up with natural beauty. 100 acres of farm land with (horse) trails leading to a state park plus horse corrals and a barn to exercise your horses. There are no restrooms/showers or pools but the quietness, the relaxation and natural beauty that surrounds you well makes up for it. Bring plenty of food/necessities since its a trip into town. At night you can unwind by a campfire! The owner is an amazing woman whom immediately will become family. The sites are just right, no shade, but you will feel comfortable and secure. - NPC

Stayed during the labor day weekend and had a relaxing time. - Michael mansfield
Jul 2006 - $20.00
We have camped at this park a lot and it is a 5 star park. The staff are very friendly and they have a beautiful club house and pool area. They are only 10 miles to Ocala and about 18 to Gainesville. They are just mins from I-75 and you cannot hear the traffic on 75. all sites are concrete and most all are level. - lakoda
Jul 2005 - $13.00
We arrived after the office was closed, but our reservation was clearly posted with directions to the site. The sites were clearly marked and well maintained. Very attractive plantings were at the site, and the site was a concrete pad with a concrete patio. When we registered the next morning, the office personnel were extremely pleasant and gave very precise directions to several area attractions. The pool was clean and very well maintained. We would highly recommend this site and will return - tdm8826

We stayed here from January1-April17. A basic campground with very nice owner-managers and residents. Good laundry facilities. An older park but owners working hard to upgrade. Very clean. Rural, but we liked that feature. - Dakota432
Feb 2016 - $28.00
Basic, rural campground, and not much to do in the area. Mostly seniors. Okay for a one night stop or restful layover for fulltimers. Quiet park. Gravel roads. Friendly, helpful staff. - OH2SD
Jan 2016 - $25.00
Wide spaces and level. Although there was no cable, local tv reception was exceptional with many channels. Staff and guests were very friendly. This time we stayed 3 nights due to the fact that we could not go to Charleston. SC because of inclement weather. We would definitely stay again when passing through. - Arnold Tobias

Jan 2019 - $42.00
We camped overnight in this park on the way to south Florida. We made our reservation from the road and it was very quick and easy. It is very convenient to I-75 and about 15-20 minutes to either Ocala or Gainesville. Our site was close to the office and had a level concrete pad. Park is very clean, friendly staff, and propane on site. - WisconsinMiniLite
Jan 2019 - $42.00
This place might be on an upswing. New management within the last week. They are already pouring new pads, but a lot of work needs to be done. Lots of shade & thick vegetation between park & I75. We stayed in 43' motorhome & got in and out without to much trouble, but need to make sure staff knows if you have large rig. Would stay again for overnight. We arrived after dark & they had staff to lead us to sight. - dhfinc
Nov 2018 - $42.00
Pros: Long full length concrete pads with patios. Lots of trees. Cons: spaces are close together, roads are narrow but navigable. Nice park overall. Minimal noise from interstate. Would consider staying here again if in the area. - Dave from Indy

Don't go here without a car or truck to get around. There are two sections to the park. The camping section has only one trail while the other section is full of waterfalls, the springs, and miles of trails. However, you can't get there without a car. The roads don't have a shoulder for biking. You can canoe up to the head springs but it is $50 for the day, and Uber costs $25 one-way. The camp sites are flat but not level. There's electricity, water, and sewer (did not use). There is a washer and dryer at each bathhouse. So, the camping is good but frustrating if you like to hike. - J and C
Jan 2019 - $20.00
Terrific place to kayak crystal clear waters. Large private campsites in most cases. The gardens are also lovely.
Sites 1-42 are more private and have more shrubbery between sites. Also seem more level than higher numbered sites. But the highest numbered tent sites are very private too if you are tent camping. - Breeze On
Dec 2018 - $37.00
Only complaint I could think of is no WIFI or cable if you have time to miss it! Awesome visit! - Roadtrip500
