Overall the park was clean and very conveniently located to interstate 95. Also close to restaurants and food. The roads were not in very good shape however it is obviously working on them. The site was clean and level. - Deckwalker

This is quite a large park. We are in s 42 foot motorhome towing. We have to have gotten the worse site in the park. In walking the park there were several available sites with either a grassy area for your chairs and picnic table. The site we were given #25 has a small strip of sandy dirt with no room for chairs. Our awning almost touched the mobile home next to us. We are here for 3 nights. Very dissatisfied with our site needless to say. - Gusie

This campground is the worst I've ever been to. A deposit of $250 was required. We stayed here eight weeks. When checking out I was given a form to fill out with a forwarding address where the balance of the deposit was to be returned minus the power bill. As of today I still haven't received the balance. I got through to a woman who was very rude, she told me I wouldn't be getting the balance because we checked out early. It looks like I was lied to about the deposit. About the park itself, its a crap hole. The grass when we arrived was near a foot tall and cut after we were parked and once afterward never trimmed in the eight weeks we were there. The swimming pool advertised was closed for at least six weeks of our stay. Beware of the people reading the power meter they make mistakes to their advantage. They should leave that up to the utility company. The cable advertised was not working. The sites were very close some only less than three feet apart. Not much close by. No recreation close by. Closest shopping about 8 miles. - melchione1

Nice park and pool. Nice sites, very quiet and convenient! - jailbabe1892

One of the owners is affiliated with a construction company that stores their equipment on the grounds of the campground. Every morning bright and early you can hear the roar of the trucks and equipment start up and go about their business. This campground is not quiet by any means! Very unprofessionally run at so many levels, amateur hour.....to say the least. The noseums in late afternoon and evening will carry you away! Saw many people leave and go to another campground do to the heavy bug infestation. This place was a big disappointment! Stay away. - Craig-9797

This is a very clean, immaculately kept and VERY well run gem of a park, nestled directly on the Indian River, with views that will take your breath away. Looking for a place to bring your RV and enjoy a quiet, restful, and quaint "Old Florida" type town? Pelican's Landing has it. Looking for a place to bring your boat or kayak, and leave it right at a boat slip on premise? Pelican's Landing has it. Looking for a place where you can enjoy spectacular sunrises that you'll never forget? Pelican's Landing has it. The only problem we encountered at Pelican's Landing was that we didn't want to leave! We originally booked our stay for a week.....we ended up staying for a month. If you're in the area, please don't miss this place. If you're not in the area, find a way to get there. You won't regret it. Thanks to the staff. Your hospitality was greatly appreciated. Pelican's Landing is "first class" in every way. - Ken and Debbie K
Mar 2016 - $65.00
Pelican's Landing trailer park is expensive for what it has to offer. Although the sites are wide and it is on the intercoastal. It is definitely not a 5 star. WiFi does not work; water pressure is poor; water at times has a terrible swampy smell; and cable TV offered by the park is the bare minimum.
The laundry facility only provides cold water, and the machines are not dependable. There are no camp showers. There is no pool. The noise level from the trains (they run 24/7 and frequently day & night) and garbage pickup (5:30 AM 4 times a week) is quite disturbing.
Management lacks people skills .
Now having said all that we did spend 4 seasons there as campers in our own RV. Almost all of the other campers were and are quite wonderful and we made a lot of great friends.
The camp ground became very expensive and totally unpredictable in their administration and varying policies, so we found another place that better suits our needs. - FB Hannemann
Sep 2015 - $120.00
We rented a mobile home "cabin" for 3 nights, and paid for dock tie up for 3 days . The cabins are very well furnished but the water smells awful. That rotten egg smell whenever you use the hot water is very unpleasant, and after taking a shower, you don't feel clean. We did not use the dock tie up because the stormy weather each night made me fearful my boat might get swamped. We had an automobile accident on the third day and left a day early as I wanted to have the repairs made as soon as possible. The back of my SUV was damaged and leaked whenever it rained. I asked for a refund for the third day and for the 3 days I was unable to use the dock tie up. Management said their policy was NO REFUNDS period! So, if you have a problem or an emergency, don't expect any consideration. - robert407

This is a mobile home park that got hid hard by a hurricane a few years ago. Some permanent residents didn't move back so there are slabs where the homes used to be. It is right on US 1 convenient to everything. The residents here are very friendly and they keep their places up. There are no rest rooms yet. I am staying here during off season so, I did get the off season rate. The streets in the park are nice and wide. I will stay here again on my next trip through. - PattyRVer

A heads up if you will be here between Feb-June 2019, they have started a beach re-nourishment project and are dredging 24 hours/day. The noise is quite obnoxious especially if you are close to the water. We enjoyed the first 5 days of our stay and then the noise started. The park is open 24 hours/day unlike most state parks and the restroom/shower facilities are looking a little run down. The site was great and we parked across the road from our trailer. The site was small gravel with a picnic table and fire ring. The road between the campsites and the water goes to a boat ramp and pavilions and is used frequently. Several OTA TV channels available and decent Verizon service at our site. We would return when the dredging is over. They hold events quite often at the beach area across the inlet. We got to watch a surfing tournament. - jtl2

If you can get a site on the water it's diffidently worth it! We had site 53. Great views of the water. Saw lots of dolphin while just sitting outside. 50 amp power was good and water had good pressure. Dump station was clean. - zjxgator
Dec 2017 - $14.00
Fishing is the main attraction here along with a large beach area plus a surfing beach and fishing pier. Not much privacy in the campground as most sites are close together with little vegetation separating them. New rest rooms had clean all tile showers inside with good pressure and plenty of hot water. Outside were a shower and clothes washer & dryer. - Appleknocker

First, I would not pay too much attention to the "3" rating unless you are hauling a bunch of toys. We have a 40' MH and a toad. We only stayed 4 nights and were placed on a large site that used to house a trailer/Park model; among the other trailers. No RV's in sight... It was fine! Neighbors were friendly and hook-ups worked. The Wi-Fi was too far away but the Verizon data and cell was great. The location is close to Vero Beach and Ft. Pierce. Shopping abounds. They do have an area just for RV's; maybe for the monthly rentals? In any case, no complaints and we would stay here again. - Kokomo

We have spent 2 years at Tanglewood but will never come back. We were told we could not have our boat or anything else on our lot. It's double standards when the president of the community can have his motorhome on his lot but no one else can have campers, trailers, car dollies, boats, or any thing extra on their lots. There are plenty of other places around the Vero Beach area that welcome campers and their toys. - kgkaroonie

We reserved a month at a cost of $612. When we arrived we were disappointed to see that this was a park where people were living in RVs and there were only about 3 lots that were not occupied by permanent residents. This is always a disappointment because part of the fun of traveling is the meeting of other friendly travelers who are looking for the same experiences as us. When ever you pull into a 'trailerhood' you are an outsider. You have nothing in common with those people. There will be no camaraderie and you will be alone. When we were preparing to back in to lot #11, a man living on lot #13 came out of his trailer and started flying the birds (middle fingers) either at us, or at the people who we would be next to on lot #10. The sign language was a little disturbing. We got a site next to a couple who had their lot loaded with everything imaginable including about a dozen noise makers blowing in the wind. Since they were on our left side, they were on our headboard slide side. Every night we awoke with the clanging, banging, chiming, rattling and clinking of too many 'pleasing' sounds. The breeze was strong most of our stay. We cut our time there in half due to the noise and the fact that the location was just too far away from the beaches and other attractions. We were not given a refund in any amount as we had 'paid for a month'. It was worth leaving to go to a better place, and we did. We do not recommend this place. - campground survey

Checked in on a Friday, paid for three nights, was told no one would be in office on Sunday. Left on Sunday left a note and asked for a refund on my card. Got a call Monday saying that they don't do refunds. Park was nearly empty, mostly seasonal at this time of year mid April. Site water handle was missing. Traveled from Vermont to Florida and would have to say I would never go back to this place. - Uncle Mike
Feb 2018 - $45.00
If you like in your face road noise augmented by train noise with narrow hard to access sites, this is the place for you. Basics: roads are paved and easy to drive until you have to make a turn. The sites are narrow and pretty much right on top of one another. The turn into our site was a major trick to shoehorn between the water hook up on the right side and the sewer on the left. Verizon phone and mifi worked well, apparently they have wifi but we saw no signal from our site so maybe it works up at the office. The pool is salt water and clean, showers were hot with ok pressure and the bathrooms were clean. Our stay here was a last minute thing and this was the only place in the area that had any space. We had to move to another site for our 2nd night. I'm pretty sure we're not going to stay here again just for the difficulty of site access. The staff was great and everything was clean. - pumper9x9
Jan 2018 - $47.00
Conveniently located on US 1. Easy access to paved sites. Mixed use park with some full-time residents and a ton of mature snow birds including a large contingency from Canada. They have shuffleboard, putting green, and activity center with quite a bit going on. Restrooms were quite clean and electronically secured. Had a bit of a problem with my reservation but staff was able to take care of it. The office and grounds staff were all quite friendly as were the folks staying here. NOTE: US1 is a busy four-lane road. The sites along the road have road noise and there is no barrier. There are also train tracks close enough to hear the trains. We are in a well insulated, well built rig but the noise still got to me. As work traffic picked up in the morning, it work me up. The pull thrus by the road are tight and subject to road noise. Scout your turns as some are rather tight for 45 foot fifth wheel. - Moe and Flo are on the go

Decent campground, especially the waterfront sites. Grass and/or sand to park on depending on site. Verizon was very good and OTA tv had several channels. Wifi was decent. They are putting in a new bath-house which will be nice. Bridge over to Scout Island was fun exploring. Publix is 11 miles north. Quiet at night, we would stay here again. - jtl2
Jul 2018 - $33.00
An amazing, county run campground on an island in the Intracoastal Waterway. No shade but many of the sites are right on the water. There's a restaurant and bait shop right at the entrance to the park. Check in was quick and easy. The only complaint is that many of the other campers didn't have their dogs on leashes. There are many beach access points and several state parks in the area. - jaxcruiser
May 2018 - $30.00
Spent a week on a waterfront site and enjoyed it. Fishing right out back was very handy. Whity's fishing tackle just to the north has everything you need. Large enough site [no paving] and was able to position the camper for a river view. If you need something you better bring it with you. It's a drive to most anything. 2 restaurants to the north. Park rangers kept everything tidy. Clear view for satellite or Orlando on the antenna. No sewer, but we can stretch a week on the holding tanks and use the bath house. They have a dump station. - Libby

Roadrunner RV Resort is a large campground, located a few miles inland in Fort Pierce. My experience has shown that most RV parks are located adjacent to an active railroad, an Interstate, an airport of a combination of all 3. This one is next door to the busy St Lucie County Airport. Take-offs and landing occur frequently and at all hours. The facility is well managed and the grounds well maintained. The staff does their best with check-ins, tho the office gets busy, especially during snowbird season. Speaking of snowbirds; Roadrunner must advertise in Quebec. I'd estimate that, during the winter months, 90% of the park is French speaking Canadian. They literally take over the place and are pretty insular. After mid-April, they flee back north and the campground is quiet and sparsely occupied, mostly with permanent residents. Our site was grass, with a concrete slab patio. A bit tight getting our 37' TT backed in around several trees. The bathrooms are kept clean, but can get messy in a hurry when the park is full. They have a multi-use room, which hosts meetings and events. There is a small diner on site that serves decent meals. A pitch and put golf course and a well stocked general store. Overall a very nice park, with two very distinct personalities, depending on when you stay. - Todd Hancock
Feb 2017 - $35.00
The site that was given to us was just the right size for a 37 foot motorhome; all of the facilities were good and this is very quiet campground. The only area that needs upgrading is their site allocation system; I think their computer dates back to the 80's, so much so, that the staff uses a wall-mounted board for site availability. - chester 2016

Park has a couple dozen full time residents -one of them who is no longer there , had an issue with us because of their pet. ( note to new campers) -( if you don't have a pet ) be prepared for almost every pet in the park to fertilize your site .. Back to the full time resident who is no longer there-that person -lied to the local law enforcement about us , and the management took their side -good thing we had proof that it was a lie ..Like the area that the park is located in ( proximity to the ocean ) and traffic not bizarre , management and ownership not so much .Owners and management feel that , occupants ( snow birds ). Really don't matter much, they know that if they have an issue , the management will have no problem filling the spot with some other snow bird.. Park has some issues, needs some updates, size of sites are cramped, park is in an economically depressed area - Daveharley
