This park is a gem. Full Hook Ups including sewer, good wifi and cable TV. Sites are secluded and huge with shrubbery between sites and tree canopy everywhere. A concrete pad is at each site so no worries about tracking sand inside. Fire ring and picnic table at each site. Roads are in good shape and the sites are very level. There are many pull through sites available, but the back in sites are big and easily maneuvered into. A small lake with a beach area for sunbathing and swimming near the entrance. This park is convenient to St. Simons, Jekyll, Brunswick, Jax and Savannah. Landscape lights line the roads which are lovely at night. Bathrooms and showers were clean. There is a boat ramp and pier on site. Firewood for sale at office and they deliver it to your campsite. Staff friendly, personable and professional. This is one of the better parks I have visited and definitely will be returning. We camped at Blythe Island Regional Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is our fourth stay at the park. Each stay has been very good. The utilities work very good. The park is convenient to many of the areas attraction and can be used as a home base to wander to Savanah or Northern Florida. The cleanliness of the bathhouse is acceptable. The sites on the perimeter are large and spacious pull thrus or backins. They have 300 plus rabbits that roam the grounds. My wife enjoyed feeding them. The staff is helpful and friendly. We camped at Blythe Island Regional Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Places to eat are Gary Lee's for excellent BBQ ribs & smoked sausauge. Larry's Gaint Subs and lastly Jay's Chicken and Shrimp. The shrimp is excellent. The chicken is medicore. If you go ask for assistance in ordering. They have many cooking variations that are not listed on their menu.

Overall Rating:

This campground gives you the feeling of camping in the wilderness. The sites are semi-canopied by tall trees. There is vegetation between the HUGE campsites so your neighbors are kind of hidden from sight. All utilities worked very well. Water pressure is good. Cable TV is SD but solid. (Open) WI-FI is the best we've had in any campground. Electric power was steady and adequate. Driving into this campground is challenging because trees border the narrow roads, so big rigs like ours need to be watchful. It's not a problem - unless you get careless. Again the sites are very long and wide. The surface is dirt and sand. A patio and fire ring are provided. The office staff was very friendly and helpful. There a bit of mix up with our arrival date and they straightened it out very quickly. The dozens and dozens of domestic rabbits really make this CG unique and special. They are very tame and will approach you for a treat. And you might run across them anywhere around this CG. NOTE: DO NOT trust your GPS to find this CG. The address will NOT work. Use SAM COFER DRIVE instead (no number). We camped at Blythe Island Regional Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Wonderful campground! Upon arrival we were greeted by 3 of the parks very tame rabbits. These were not your average white tails rabbits, they looked like pets. The office personnel were super friendly and efficient. The told us there were over 200 bunnies all around the park. The park was easy to navigate, our site was well maintained and easy to hook up. Woodsy and quiet. We explored to find beautiful views of the South Brunswick River at the fishing pier and boat ramp. We camped for one night in a 33' motorhome. We recommend staying here if you get the chance. We camped at Blythe Island Regional Park Campground in a Motorhome.

We regrettably had just a quick overnight stay here. Absolutely loved the bunnies! They would hop right up to you and beg for food (as did the squirrels!) Lovely park with shaded, spacious, private sites. We arrived following a rainstorm so the flying bugs (with teeth!) were a little annoying. This would be a great home base for touring Jekyll & St. Simons Islands. We camped at Blythe Island Regional Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Be prepared to be greeted by friendly wild rabbits when you check-in. Elmer Fudd would enjoy this place. You get a lot for the money; Cable TV, sewer, water, 50 amp, robust Wifi and plenty of distance between sites. The park is very well maintained. The road coming in has been newly paved. The gravel roads in the park are smoothed and wide enough to maneuver big rigs without any problems. We came the first week in February and it was 50's during the day and 40's at night. We took a couple of hikes by the river, nice and very scenic. The negatives; even in the cool weather, small black nats bug the heck out of you and right across from the river is a paper mill, if the wind is blowing in the right direction, there is a smell, not bad though. We would definitely come back again. We camped at Blythe Island Regional Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

We stayed 4 days and it was excellent. Weather was hot, but we were in the back row in the trees. Our site was long and wide enough to allow our wheelchair lift/ramp to deploy with plenty of room. Water pressure could have been better, but it did not smell of sulphur as so many sources in S Georgia do. WiFi was excellent nearly all the time. Slowest times were around late evening. We were in a 40 ft motorhome. There were indeed rabbits throughout the CG. There was a freshwater lake and swimming beach and of course a saltwater boat ramp and a fishing dock. The interior roads were packed gravel/granite dust mix. They could have used some attention but the heavy traffic in this park accounted for the surface. We camped at Blythe Island Regional Park Campground in a Motorhome.

A real step up from the rustic state parks I am used to. Gorgeous park very convenient to I-95. All sites FHU with cable. Road gravel (in good condition). Sites sand with cement pads for table and fire ring. Good vegetation between most sites affords a measure of privacy. Many pull through sites, and most are very long. Back-in sites 1-12 have nice view of small lake out front. Monthly sites available, grouped together in center of campground. Laundry room and Propane sold near office. Verizon signal good. Planned to stay 3 nights but Hurricane Michael hurried us on our way after two nights. We really liked the park, very private sites, shaded and beautiful. Would like to return in cooler weather when mosquitos would not be such a problem. Reasonable access to Brunswick and its wonderful historic area, as well as Jekyll and St Simons Islands. Could use better signage but with GPS had no trouble locating park. People in park office were very nice, but I can see how arriving at a busy time could be problematic as there is very little room for waiting RVs. Nice park, seemed newish. Had many amenities if you were staying a while, like fishing dock, boat lift, bait sales, picnic pavillons. We were in a pull thru site with a concrete pad and fire pit. All sites were 50 amp. Very treed for privacy and nice areas to walk. Right on the Brunswick River. Easy off and on from I-95 for one night stop over. I would stay again. Only negative was that they didn't seem to have a system as to where to park to register. We were the only ones checking in, but if more than one, it would have been awkward, you have to stack up. The site was very clean and very large. This was a full hook up site. The fire pit was placed a nice distance from the RV parking area. We were able to get Verizon and a few over the air channels. The sites are quite shady and there is a good amount of vegetation between sites which gives adequate privacy. There is cable hookup. It is a good place to stay to visit St. Simon's Island and Jekyll. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Blythe Island Regional Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

A few miles from I-95. We were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful park-like setting. After driving over several good sized speed bumps, the dirt roads were as smooth as pavement. Drivers of large motorhomes need to pay attention to the well trimmed trees, a couple of which were set only a foot off the pavement - no problem, but pay attention. The tall canopy of trees gives this lovely park a rare "camping" feel. These well-spaced RV sites are full hook up with 50 and 30 amp and all are wide and flat with cement pads for the picnic tables. The perimeter pull thru sites are the longest I have ever seen! The park map denotes an area for monthly rentals, but this campground is so well maintained, that they were indistinguishable from the others. That is a rarity. There is a small lake on the property with a swim area, and a lovely foot bridge for a nature walk. It was muddy when we went so we didn't make it too far without the proper shoes. I would have loved to drag the kayaks down for a paddle, but we were just too tired. The park also boasts a boat ramp and fishing pier onto the South Brunswick River. Well constructed shelters cover picnic tables and are available for rent. We plan to return this fall for a longer stay when we travel south to explore the wooded bike and hiking paths, and perhaps kayak. Jekyll and St. Simons Islands are a short distance away. Site #80 has a tree that could interfere with a slide. I would not care for sites 41 or 42 just because of the way they are situated. Our site #79 was perfect. This place is so lovely we are considering bringing a group from our RV club to see the sights of the Golden Isles area. We were there on a Thursday night, and the campground was very quiet. No trains, traffic or planes. Cable available but my husband had trouble with snowy signal (may have been operator-error) no over-the-air reception. Verizon signal excellent. Didn't try wireless internet. Propane fill available. We camped at Blythe Island Regional Park Campground in a Motorhome.
