The site was very clean and very large. This was a full hook up site. The fire pit was placed a nice distance from the RV parking area. We were able to get Verizon and a few over the air channels. The sites are quite shady and there is a good amount of vegetation between sites which gives adequate privacy. There is cable hookup. It is a good place to stay to visit St. Simon's Island and Jekyll. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Blythe Island Regional Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We adored this park! It was gorgeous. Lots of shade with beautiful Spanish moss. Cool, old school throwback playground. Tons of bike trails. My favorite part of all was the bunny rabbit population. Apparently the park is a sanctuary for pet bunnies that have to re-homed. There were literally hundreds of adorable bunnies that would eat out of your hand. We were headed to Disney and only got to stay one night but even with a Disney trip looming in our future, we all wished we could've stayed another night! We camped at Blythe Island Regional Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This was my second stay here. The facility is in GREAT condition, showers are big and clean, great hiking trails, well groomed. The staff warned me that the WiFi could be ify, but I learned that the WiFi antennas are mounted on the restroom/shower buildings, so this time I picked a site close to one and the signal was great. I was running late and called to notify them that I would be arriving like 2345, they gave me the gate code, and taped a map with my name on it on the ck - in office door, really helped out in the dark. Very helpful staff and has a really nice marina. Good fishing. Campsites are extremely tight with very little space in between. Making some of the turns require a second and third effort. Great area for boating/kayaking. Heavy vegetation between sites. We didn't have enough room to fully extend both the pop out and awning. Had to settle for 3/4 extended awning without it rubbing on a tree and yes, I was centered. We camped at Blythe Island Regional Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This was my second stay here and it was like I was staying in a different CG. Rate is based on monthly rate. Your experience will be determined by where your site is located in the park. All of the sites have natural vegetation dividing the sites with sand or crushed seashells to park. Wi-fi was poor and the staff knows it but does nothing to get it fixed. Dust is a constant problem mostly caused by campers and staff speeding thru the CG. Noise from I-95 and the cellulose plant is pretty constant. If the winds are blowing from the east then you will smell the cellulose plant. I felt I was bothering the staff each time I stopped by the office. 3 washers and dryers costing $1.50 each. This is a great CG for a couple of nights but I would not stay here for longer. We camped at Blythe Island Regional Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice park outside of Jekyll Island. So glad we chose this park after driving through the one on the island. We had a nice back in across the road from the small lake. Sand packed roads and site. Typical Florida vegetation. Friendly check in. Full hook ups with cable. Verizon very week. Would definitely return. We camped at Blythe Island Regional Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is our third stay at Blythe Island. The staff is very friendly and their maintenance staff is always active keeping the park in good shape. The camp ground is part of a regional park which includes a riverfront park and boat landing. There is also a lake for swimming and fishing.
There are many trees so it will be shaded in the warmer months and the sites are well spaced. No problems with electric, water or sewer hookups. The site was almost level. We have been there in November and February so it was not at all crowded. I suspect it is full in the warm season.
We found the location ideal to visit the surrounding areas such as St. Simons and Jekyll islands. It has easy access to Rt 95 and the surrounding roads are very good. Although the park is secluded, there are plenty of shopping, fuel, and restaurants in the area.
The only minor downside is the relative nearness of a paper mill. It is NOT close, but on a quiet night you can just hear the low background white noise of the plan. Not a big deal. Just thought you should know.
Each of our stays was for three nights. We will definitely return. We

The staff was amazingly helpful with southern hospitality. One of the staff was outstanding with his knowledge of the local fishing and tides; they will also bring firewood to your site! The sites were very clean and level, we had site 41 and the other couple had 42 so if you're going with 2 campers these are perfect wide open sites with FULL hookups. It was very quiet and peaceful and other campers were friendly as they passed by. We didn't use the bathrooms, which were only a campsite away, but they were spotless. The pond is good for bass fishing and you can rent a John boat or kayak..no gas motors, the Brunswick River is just on the other side of the park that's good for salt water fishing. We felt safe with the security circling often, we will definitely be going back and will recommend it to others. We camped at Blythe Island Regional Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is a beautiful campground and park owned by the county. It is large but the spaces are situated such that you have alot of privacy. We were in space #45 which was right across from the bathhouse. The spaces are hard packed sand and ours was level. There is a concrete patio that you can pull your camper up to so that when you step out you are on concrete. Each site had a picnic table and fire ring/grill top. The cable TV worked well for us as did the Wifi. There is a nice playground, a swimming lake, canoe rental, fishing and biking trail. There isn't a camp store, but they do sell ice. There are 2 soda machines. We have At&t cell service and had good reception. There is a Dollar General Store about 3 miles down the road if you need supplies. Overall, great experience! This is a great county run park!
Everything worked great. After 8pm campers have the entire park to themselves. The entrance to the park is locked at 8, but is the code is provided for after hours entry.
Good luck on getting a satellite signal due to the forest.
The roads are crushed rock and are in need of leveling. We

Oh boy! You can really tell the campgrounds that are government run. They have some money put into them. As advertised here. My site was over 80 feet long, extra wide, full hook-ups with a concrete pad, picnic table, and fire ring. There was a full row of trees between each of the sites, so you feel secluded. Many pavilions. Bathrooms are brand spanking new and all tile with automatic features. They have all the facilities under a code and the staff goes home at 7 PM. If you are late arrival, please call in advance and they will give you a code. Laundry was $1.25. Playground was large commercial structures. We saw a dolphin swimming in the river in the morning and several people having luck with their crab cages. They have fiber optic cable run through the campground and we had no problem getting full bars on the Wi-Fi in the center of the park with the dense vegetation. The speed varied drastically. In sunshine we could stream movies. In the rain we could hardly do anything. The lake is where the beach is and it is small and muddy/mossy. The sand is hard with lots of shells. The drives are made of that powdery gravel that gets EVERYWHERE. We took our shoes off outside and still had to vacuum three times a day. Their is no "view" of the waterfront because of the dense vegetation. The vegetation also brings lots of mosquitoes, ticks, and ants. We camped at Blythe Island Regional Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is a very nice campground. All of the sites are pull throughs and are extremely easy to get in and out of. There are many long term residents, but the park is neat and clean, and we did not feel unwelcome or out of place. There is a nice size lake that you can swim in during the summer months, and the park is only 15 - 20 minutes from St. Simons Island and Jekyll Island. The cable and wi-fi worked perfectly. Each site has a concrete pad, and almost all of them had a good amount of privacy. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Blythe Island Regional Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We found that we detected the smell from the nearby paper mill in the mornings on the wind, but did not find it too objectionable. This area of Georgia was plagued (every campground) with swarms of gnats, but fortunately, one of the staff recommended White Citrus spray from Bath and Body Works as a good repellent for them.
