We stayed one night in site #13, a pull-thru with W/E/S. Very easy in and out. This spacious county park opened in 2012 so everything is new, nice, and clean. It's about 10 minutes off I-20 in a woodsy area so our cell coverage (AT&T) was spotty. There is no wi-fi. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to check out the lake or the trails. This is an excellent park for a sleep-and-go (which we had to do) or a longer getaway stay in nature. We would happily stay here again. We camped at Little Tallapoosa Park in a Travel Trailer.

Free small water park for kids with sprayers and dumping buckets. Book exchange. Great little park only 5 minutes off hwy. Small lake you can walk around thru the woods in about 40 minutes. We are traveling with an active hunting dog and he had a blast walking the woods. He found a rabbit, several squirrels, and a turtle. Gem of a park to stop for the night - a bargain. Very quiet. Drove up on 2 blocks to level on pad and did not unhook 31' TT. Nice park to stop and chill. We camped at Little Tallapoosa Park in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice wooded county park. Separate areas for tents and RVs. RV sites are both pull-thru and back-in. We were just here overnight, but seems a nice place for an extended stay. Clean and quiet, about 5 miles from I-20. We camped at Little Tallapoosa Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

We stayed in a pull through. The site was level, however our check-in was delayed by a couple of hours as the people were quite late leaving the site. The picnic table was pretty much rotted and in need of replacement. The sewage connect was at a higher elevation than our camper discharge, causing a reverse gravity flow problem. Campsite is quiet and basically well maintained. Other than that we had a nice stay. We would defiantly stay again. We camped at Little Tallapoosa Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Loved this quiet little park, not far from I-20, and a state park well maintained and being developed. Park about 7 years old, but still expanding. GREAT paved trails down to Little Tallapoosa, shaded hiking. Sites were fairly open, and several pull thru sites. We had a good site, #13. Some sites are reserved for Motor Homes only. We camped at Little Tallapoosa Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

We drove up to Tallapoosa (north of Interstate) and visited the quaint historical town. Not too much going on, a good Mexican restaurant for lunch. A few shops (including a coffee and ice cream shop). Enjoyed good walks along hiking trails. Did some geocaching here too.

Very well laid out park. Some sites are more level than others. Very nice paved walking trails through the surrounding woods. Would definitely stay here again if in the area. We camped at Little Tallapoosa Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Nightly rate reflects monthly stay. This park has a limited number of sites that are available for long-term stays for full timers like us or contractors working in the area. Having said that it is important to know that it is not obvious to the casual observer that there are any long term setups. The park is pristine, almost new looking. Because of this and the excellent trails and beautiful setting, the RV side of the park is almost always full. Make your reservation early. Also, the park opened an equistrian section in Sept. of 2016. This added 10 very large RV sites (no sewer) that you can use if the full hookup sites are all taken. We stayed in the equestrian section for a couple months and hired a honey wagon service for dumping the tanks. When a long term spot opened up we moved to the full hookup section. Everything was perfect except for satellite reception. It is very difficult to find a gap in the trees unless in a short term spot in the "infield" of the loop. We camped at Little Tallapoosa Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Park is 6 miles from I-20 and 5miles from Carrollton. For a county park it's excellent. I tried 2 different sites before I could level front to back. Some of the sites have a heck of a slope. If you try to get into the park on a Fri or Sat or plan on spending an extended stay, you best have reservations. I didn't see any restrooms. My only complaint was the site slope. I come back especially for an overnighter. We camped at Little Tallapoosa Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Greeted warmly and advised of the 5 sites reserved for 37' RVs. We found the sites and couldn't get satellite in site 10 so chose 7 and leveled fine. Even though there were some nice shade trees we were still able to get satellite at this site. The park is lovely! There are paved trails as well as paths through the park with a fishing pond. Playgrounds were nicely done. About the only thing that was a negative were the huge ants in parts of the park, fortunately we didn't get bitten. We were there for three nights and really enjoyed the stay. We camped at Little Tallapoosa Park in a Motorhome.

A very nice county park located less than 6 miles south of I-20 (exit 19) with 23 RV sites (5 big rig sites) and 32 tent or pop up sites (in a different section). RV sites (some pull through a) are all full hookups on spacious concrete pads. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only negatives are many of the sites are not level and you cannot reserve specific sites. Be careful about making a reservation as while it assures you of a site, you may not be able to get your RV level on what is available once you arrive. We camped at Little Tallapoosa Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for one night in a 24' Motorhome. The lady at the front desk was extremely cordial, pleasant and very helpful, and even suggested a senior discount which I accepted. The park is very quiet, and overall quite nice with a lot of trails and apparently has some horse riding areas too. The site we picked (site 22) was fairly level so didn't bother with the levelers. We had the pick of most of them, and some seemed very level, and others not so much. Water, electricity and sewer were all good. Our site had a very nice fire ring/grill combo, and a nice picnic table. Despite a fairly remote location, we got 4 bars of Verizon and very good signal on our Karma too. Our only regret is that we didn't have time for much hiking, so we'll be back to enjoy that aspect. We highly recommend this park and will definitely be back! We camped at Little Tallapoosa Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Not much between the Interstate and the park, so you'd have to go further south into Carrollton for shopping, groceries (~5 miles).

This is a new park with paved roads and paved sites. Big rig friendly. RV sites have picnic tables, fire ring with grill, and a lantern hook. Nice shade trees. It is few miles off the interstate but worth the drive. Good roads getting in and out. We camped at Little Tallapoosa Park in a Motorhome.
