We were here attending a family wedding and very pleased with the park. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The lake is pretty with catch and release fishing (no license needed). When we were here the leaves are starting to fall. The loops above the office behind the bath house are a little tight and steep at one point but not terrible. The staff will guide you in. The sites are some what level but some may need more blocking than others. Great cable and WiFi. Park was quite, our stay was enjoyable. We camped at Diamond Lure Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The city of Ellijay is just 15 minutes away. There are apple orchards, winery's and a must visit if the Mountain Valley Farm where you can purchase awesome dry aged "grass feed"beef, free range pork, chicken and cheeses. Great homemade ice cream also.

Items not correct in list of amenities. They do have sites with 50 Amp service. They do have fire pits. Ice and wood available to buy. What was really nice is that upon arrival they escorted you to your site and helped you maneuver in. Verizon was 5 bars, Cable had a clear and strong signal. Wifi was solid can stream on the phone. Nice lake beach for kids and a nice fishing area. Very pretty! We will go back. Roads are gravel and winding. Not sure on 40'+ rigs. It's dusty but they have a water truck that went through a few times a day. The sewer had a narrow opening and could not get my hose connection to stay stuck. Needed someone to hold it in when emptying tanks. Bring a fishing rod for their stocked private lake! Don't use GPS to get in. Use Hwy 76 vs Hwy 52 if coming from the west. We camped at Diamond Lure Campground in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a pretty place and the lake is beautiful as well, but all the of the nice sites are taken by permanent residents. They will put you in "outback " loop which is described perfectly by its name. Very hilly and not any where close to semi level, cable didn't work,, even after they "fixed" it, the 15 amp auxiliary plug was burned out (our RV power connector did work though.) The wifi did not work unless you were close to the office. The owner claimed it was because of the mountains yet it was only about 150 yards direct line of site to our spot. I went to all the open sites in this loop and no usable signal at any. The owner did eventually give me a password to one the other residents private wifi and it worked fine. I counted only 8 sites out 50 + that were available to non permanent residents -- of course they were all in this back loop. The lake and public areas plus the bath house is lovely. If you do deside to stay here bring PLENTY of leveling blocks and don't plan on sitting outside if being on a 20 dog slope bothers you.

We would not stay here again if we had to stay this back part of the campground. We camped at Diamond Lure Campground in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

I stayed in this nature sanctuary of a park for all of April 2016. It is now one of my favorite campgrounds after 2.5 years of being full timers. The owner of the park and his family are friendly, attentive and overall really good people. Space! You have lots of room between you and other campers and to explore. The lake, around the lake and all the other natural areas are great for any nature lovers. There is this magical little wooded place within the park that is named, Ferngully. You really feel like you've stepped into another time in this space full of ferns, wildflowers and abundant green growth all around. There's a nice path the owners have built in this section. This park is situated in gorgeous rolling hill countryside of North Georgia. You have apple orchards all around you. Since you are in a hilly, mountainous area, you'll definitely want to have levelers. You're only 15 minutes away from the quaint, progressive town of Ellijay that has everything you could need(Wal-Mart, a fabulous Ingles grocery store, health food stores, a historic downtown full of boutiques and there's two Starbucks(one inside of the Ingles). We camped at Diamond Lure Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

The Diamond Lure RV & Campground in Ellijay, Georgia was a wonderful experience! We visited in July 2009, and the grounds were well-maintained and manicured, the lake was magnificent, and the restroom/shower/laundry facilities were very clean and accessible. The folks running the campground were very welcoming and friendly, answered all of our questions (no matter how trivial they may have been), and made us feel right at home from the start. We will definitely stay there again even if just to talk with the friendly people who run the place! Diamond Lure is a very nice choice for camping in any type of tent or camper, by yourself or with the whole family, pets or no pets. We can't wait to visit there again and relax without having to worry about a thing! We camped at Diamond Lure Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We had camped here in 2006, and again in 2009, The change and upgrades in the campground where amazing. It is definitely a fishing destination, but the bath houses were extremely clean. The staff was very friendly and informative. The countryside and sites such as Amicalola Fall were breathtaking. We thought the rate very reasonable as well. All in all very peaceful. We camped at Diamond Lure Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: September, 2006 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Diamond Lure was a huge disappointment. This was our first outing in the new RV, and we were so excited. But Diamond Lure Campground turned out to be a trailer park with nothing to do on site. We were in the area called "Social Circle" where we were the only weekend campers. The rest of the people in the area were permanent residents and we felt like we were invading their territory. The site was very cramped (even for a pop-up) with one side sloped down and the other side heavily wooded. We placed the pop-up far over to the wooded side hoping to have space on the sloped side to set up the awning and chairs. Even with the camper pushed back into the woods, the chairs were very tight and we could hardly move around. There was no space for the kids to play as we were right up against the road. Our site did not have a fire pit, but some others did. The bath house left a lot to be desired with saturated indoor/outdoor carpet on the floors and holes in the walls around the plumbing. Some might say it was clean, but for a woman with children, it was not acceptable. There was a pretty lake, but I only saw a few sites around it that seemed to be reserved for the larger full-sized RVs. All in all, if you only need a small space, don't mind a semi-clean bathroom, and don't mind leaving your camp site for entertainment, Diamond Lure is ok. We, however, will not be returning. We camped at Diamond Lure Campground in a Travel Trailer.
