Oct 2018 - $35.00
Small, quaint campground with wonderful views of mountains. Quiet and restful on our stay. Sites are close but not a problem for us. Used satellite so can't comment on cable. WiFi connection was good at site. Owner was helpful with directions and area attractions. Close to downtown Blue Ridge. We will be back! - otternebr
May 2018 - $45.00
This campground did not work for us. I realized that the review I read on the RV Review website was 4 years old and there was only one review. Also, I believe that most of the reviews on Google were based on staying in the "lodge" area, which is actually an older style motel not the RV area. The positives: The owner is really nice and accommodating and he refunded all of my money including the night we stayed, the WiFi was very strong when people weren't streaming, we had great cable selections, and there are fabulous views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The not so positives: The sites are small gravel sites with grass in between. There are a lot of full timers, the road is narrow and dirt, and there is no bathhouse, laundry facilities, patio, fire pit, or table. We needed a much larger site with paved area for my grandchild to ride her bike. Thanks to the owner for the refund. - Living the Life
Mar 2013 - $40.00
135 degree turn into the driveway from two lane mountain road when approaching from Blue Ridge, GA, but manageable. Friendly manager, paved drive and road past the lodge rooms. It is then mostly gravel though muddy areas when wet. Park is on a ridge top and views are spectacular though windy. Sites close together, good utilities, and about 50% permanent residents who are very friendly. Open year around and nicest RV park close to Blue Ridge, GA. - Ric R

My husband and I recently stayed a week at this park. We made reservations and were greeted by owners upon arrival. This is a very quiet area nicely kept and very close to town. This business is operated on honesty and integrity. The weather here in Blue Ridge is great. I would recommend that you give these nice folks a call and reserve for next trip. They are pet friendly... so we were able to keep our pets with us and they enjoyed the same. I found this Park to be clean free of debris and clutter. The rates are comparable to near by areas. The lots are spacey. Everything is beautiful and green--- flowers were lovely. Overall ,I give this park a 9. We will be planning a stop here again next year. Southern hospitality is definitely present. Thanks to the owners. We enjoyed our time here and will be talking to our friends about your place.:) - Mineral Springs RV Park and Tent Camping
Sep 2015 - $45.00
Looking for trashy appearance, steep bumpy roads, soggy uneven sites, overflowing garbage cans, 8 barking dogs, swim pool that resembles pond, laundry facilities that are broken all at outrageous prices then you will love this place.
Prices posted on Web will not reflect true price! Pull thru sites too steep, rough to pull thru! - Cat Woods
Jul 2014 - $30.00
We found this to be an ideal site. The owner is friendly and laid back. He doesn't ask for a deposit and allows pets. My wife had back surgery and we had to cancel last-minute and manager was very nice about it. The location is close to a lake and marina. We went over the 4th of July and enjoyed the best fireworks we've ever seen at the marina. The campsite is quiet at night. We made a campfire and sat around with friends and had a great time. The pool is a bonus. It's a great pool and we enjoyed a swim in the afternoons. The site is close to downtown Blue Ridge, Merciers Orchard, hiking, etc. We found the campsite easy to get in and out of, and close to a lot of fun activities. We're from Atlanta so it's a great getaway any time of the year. - Camp-happy

Oct 2017 - $30.00
We stayed here for the whole month of October. It's a small family run campground in a beautiful setting. There is a catch and release fishing pond and also a pay by the pound trout pond. They have a small farm with goats, chickens and pigs and we were given a tour. The owners are friendly and attentive to your needs at all times. Numerous trash cans that are emptied multiple times during the day. Restrooms and showers clean. Located close to lots of activities and things to do. We highly recommend this campground and love the area. - Southbar
Oct 2016 - $30.00
This was our fifth stay at Persimmon Creek.
The owners are friendly and welcoming hosts. The park is clean and well kept, the bath house was immaculately clean, and the setting is perfect. WiFi is a bit iffy at west side where we were camped but workable.
A real pleasure! - Lee Jarvis
Oct 2016 - $30.00
Stayed the first week of October 2016. Very quiet campground that was kept up well. Bath house was rustic and very clean. Nice shower areas. Gravel sites that are fairly level. 50 amp service with some sites having full hookup for the same price. Would definitely return. - lwgorman

Beautiful campground on Blue Ridge Lake. Sites 4, 5 or 6 are the best. Excellent cellular coverage. Staff were very helpful, especially considering the changes that occurred with the transition to the new online reservation system. - Susan Badgio
Jul 2018 - $27.00
If you have a big rig do your homework. The best sites for big iron are 5, 9, 4, 25. 9 is a great pull through with a lake view. Most other sites do not have lake views. The tent sites on the peninsula are the best. The bathouse was fantastic, the best we have ever seen. The beach is beautiful. The campground was a bit noisy with loud talk and radio music. People from the nearby town like to cruise through the camp in noisy vehicles or motorcycles. That was annoying but not constant. Good trail to the beach. We would go back if we could get site 9. - Alan Cockrell
Jun 2018 - $18.00
We checked this campground out but did not stay. Just looking and we were pulling our pop-up Trailmanor behind Yukon XL at the time. Nightly rate of $18 is reg site WITH discount. Bit tight, but OK roads going in and around campground. Small campground with 42 sites and about 13 of them tent only. Some 50 amp available. Sites 5, 6,7 and double sites 13 and 14 are waterfront on Blue Ridge Lake. VERY tight boat ramp in campground. Not sure we could get our 24 ft boat in area. Ranger was very helpful and friendly. 5 tent sites are two regular that are first come first serve, all others can be reserved online. Did not check out, but campground did have two comfort stations. Beach, picnic area also available. Reserve 1-877-444-6777. Blue Ridge Lake is beautiful, fairly small mountain lake and campground is open Mid- April thru October. - Trailmanor camper

Very friendly staff. Campsites are close together, but very beautiful spots backing a flowing stream. Campground is very easy to access from the road also. Only down side is it's on an actual Rd to additional houses. The road is not all that busy. Enjoyed our stay and have made planned to return. - Tammycravens
Oct 2016 - $27.00
We stayed here 7 nights and found the park peaceful and quiet. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Although the spaces are tight we managed to park and setup our 32' motorhome without any problems
We enjoyed our stay here and definitely will stay again when in the area. - polarbear648
Aug 2016 - $31.00
We enjoyed staying a week at the park. Good for rigs under 40 ft. Clean and maintained even though some of the facilities were old. Manager/Owner was very nice and helpful. Pretty little creek runs behind most of the RV sites. No Cable or Antenna TV but the WiFi was great the whole time we were there. Cell service was good for both Verizon and AT&T. Centrally located for access to lots of great State and National parks within less than an hours drive. Shopping centers within 10 miles. - largefamil10

Apr 2018 - $15.00
Nice, out of the way, intimate park. Most of the sites can handle 25-30foot rigs, and a few would handle 45 foot Kong's with pulls vehicles. Most were level. Only 3 spaces were near the road, so road noise was minimal. - Don Self
Oct 2016 - $15.00
Small, intimate campground, conveniently located near many activities on the Ocoee and Hiwassee Rivers. No water at the sites, but plently of spigots around the campground; fill your fresh water tank before setting up. About half the sites can reach a water spigot with a 100' hose. This CG is in a valley not far off of Hwy 64. Beautiful old growth trees and a creek running behind some of the sites (see map). This is a "rustic" CG for those who love the woods. Sites are generously spaced. Take firewood with you - the ground around the CG is pretty well picked over. Sites are generally level and spacious, although the CG road is a little narrow. Some sites require a little more proficiency in backing in because of this. One bath house for the CG. It was clean, however, maintenance was a little behind. The day we left was the third day without toilet paper in either the men's or women's side. I would have rated it higher if not for this. The dump station is on a slope which prevents complete draining of tanks. There is no over-the air TV reception; satellite is spotty because of a thick canopy of trees. All-in-all, a very nice CG, I will definitely return. - Bama Camper

Jul 2018 - $42.00
This was a short term stay for us, but a delightful one. Long pull through, concrete pad and patio, paved roads, and spacious sites with a picnic table and fire pit. Both the WiFi and cable TV worked well. The laundry was up a flight of stairs, but had new equipment and very reasonable prices. Not very many trees for shade, but power held up even when a lot of air conditioners were running in the sunshine. We would definitely return. - Lke
Sep 2017 - $35.00
We love this RV park. Sites are huge, well maintained, and easy to get in and out. Lights on utility poles for easy hook-up when its dark. We were in a back corner so road noise was not an issue for us. Our site was 60' x 120'. Great management who was always available but not intrusive. Super friendly. Asked if I needed help hooking up. Close to but not in the middle of town. Long term residents but they are not the typical long-term residents of an RV park. If there were some trees for shade I would have liked it better but that's a personal preference. You may like it better without them for better satellite reception. Great Wi-Fi and cable TV. - HDWC
Sep 2017 - $30.00
This is the best park we have stayed at all summer. We put our 42' Fifth Wheel on their "basic" pull thru site and still had plenty of room for our Freightliner hauler. You can't ask for better park management. They will come around in their golf cart to check if there's anything you need. While other parks in the area were price gouging during the eclipse and hurricane Irma escapees, this park offered free spots in their overflow area. - full timers from Michigan

Camp Cherry Log was a very enjoyable side trip on our route to our family vacation in Florida this year... The area was scenic and beautiful and the park attendants were sooooo friendly. We didn't spend much time at the park itself because this was only a 1-day stopover and we spent a great deal of time in town, taking a scenic railway tour among other touristy things to do. Very pleasant experience nonetheless and we would recommend to anyone without hesitation. - jetsfan1234
Oct 2006 - $25.00
This campground is in a beautiful and remote area which appealed to us. It is an old campground though with very narrow sites unsuitable for rigs with slide outs. Our 27 foot fifth wheel with one slide out would not fit and we ended up leaving. - Ruth Baker

We really loved this campground. It's right on the Toccoa River. Grounds were clean. We did full hookup. Great hot water. Beautiful river front you can go down and fish on or swing in their porch swing and look at the river. The land across the street is beautiful with lots of deer. Gina was super nice at the office. Very down home & welcoming. Park was quiet, however we did go in the tubing off season. Our lot 5C backed up to the little stream which seemed to be the local (campers) fishing honey hole. Hubby caught a really nice rainbow trout right behind our camper. We would absolutely come back & would recommend this park to anyone. - cellgirl99
Sep 2015 - $34.00
Though this is a small campground and not all sites have sewer hook ups, it was a delightful place and an excellent spot to relax and unwind. Situated right on the Toccoa River, they are primarily known as a tubing company, but if you are lucky enough to be here in the off season or during the week, you will be really happy you stayed here. The owners are extremely pleasant and eager to please. There is a nice pavilion to hold picnics or other gatherings, a kayak/canoe/tube launch, and changing rooms as well as bathrooms and shower rooms. Sites are gravel and very level. They each include a grill, picnic table and fire ring. We enjoyed a campfire each evening right on the river. Bathrooms and showers are a little primitive, but the location is well worth any inconvenience. We hope to be back soon. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend it. We were camping in a travel trailer, but the tent area looked nice as well. We did not have a full hookup but it was worth it to be right on the river. - Cathy S
Jun 2010 - $25.00
We just found this campground this weekend. It is a very small park with only 10 RV sites and 14 tent sites. The park offers tubing and raft rides down the Toccoa river and has very friendly staff. It is family owned and operated, and just needs a little work on a few things. Bath houses were clean and well maintained. Their primary business is tubing and rafting but is a great little park for this. This park is not big rig friendly, but is a great place for smaller campers. We will return. - Bird-Freak

Located in the Chilhowee Recreation Area, Chilhowee Campground offers electric hookups, RV sites, tent only sites and multiple bathhouses. The campground is open from early April to late October, with an overflow area and day use area open year-round. 7-acre McKamy Lake offers a swim area with a sand beach and fishing from the bank. Boats are allowed, but gasoline motors are not. Also, within the recreation area are approximately 25 miles of hiking and biking trails and a scenic waterfall. On the drive up to the campground, stop at one of the many observation overlooks to see beautiful mountain settings. Wildlife is abundant in this area, so have your camera ready and tread lightly. Be aware, the drive up from US-64 is steep and while beautiful, is tough. It is 7 miles from the route to the campground. We were only overnight, so this was a bit inconvenient. Campground is beautiful, lots of woods and nature, including bear. Be wary with pets and having food outside. There are NO water hookups at the sites, though pipes are around and you could fill up your tank. Gave it an 8 because of tough drive to get there, poor directions into campground itself, and lack of other amenities. However, if you wanted to get away and enjoy nature, this would be an excellent spot to spend a few days or a week and swim, hike, and relax. - Too-wow
