Nov 2018 - $38.00
Excellent Wifi, very good over the air TV. Sites fairly tight but well maintained with patio & picnic table. Staff very nice. - Mainiac
Oct 2018 - $36.00
This was a one night stop for us heading south to Florida. It offers easy access from I-75. The road into the park is easy to navigate. The roads in the park are narrow, sites are very close together, yet we had no issues navigating our 36 foot Motorhome with car in tow. Check in was fast and friendly with an escort to our site. Our site A7 was a pull through, hard packed gravel, level, utilities conveniently located. We would stay here again. - William T
Aug 2018 - $42.00
Personally, I wouldn’t call Atlanta South either a Resort or a Campground. It is a crowded RV Park.
The Good/Excellent:
1. Staff is very friendly & hospitable and quick to address concerns
2. Amazingly quiet to be so crowded & so close to the freeway
3. Sites are clean & free of litter
4. Very convenient to airport area, and not a bad drive to see a baseball game
5. Easy access to/from I-75
6. The dog-walk area is natural grass. It is clean and well-maintained. Bags & a trash receptacle are provided in the dog-walk area
The Not-So-Great:
1. Sites are very narrow, with only enough width for the trailer and a picnic table + walking space between. The utility hookups were within inches of our neighbors picnic table & front door of his RV!
2. Though some sites had grass fringes (and that grass was very nicely maintained), our site was 100% uneven gravel. Leveling the RV was a challenge, as I had a hard time finding a spot level enough to put the blocks!
3. An eye to maintaining the sites between guests would be beneficial. The water hookup on our site was missing the handle to turn it on; we used pliers. We had no fire ring, though we didn’t need one & not sure I’d want to start a fire so near our rig
4. The WiFi password we received was not correct/did not work
We were in Atlanta for an event, so we just wanted a place to park, cook, and sleep. Atlanta South was fine for our needs, and we would stay again if we had those same needs in the future, or for a single night passing thru. We were not actually here very many hours in a day. Most of the rigs are long-term residents, working in the area. But Atlanta South, while adequate, is not a relaxing spot to enjoy nature, or vacation destination IMHO. - Ricflo

A Diamond in the Rough -- VERY rough ! ! Great location with easy access to highway 85, 30 min. to downtown (no traffic) Peachtree City just 15 min. east with grocery, fuel etc. But care for the park has been lacking for Many years and there is Nothing else in the area. $35 night is Too much - $200 week is better - $500 month (includ. elec.) is best. Worked out fine for us for the month with the easy access location for south ATL - just realize it's Not a 'pretty' place ... but Could be with a major makeover and then people would be waiting in line I think !
The turn toward the campground is just next the the service station which is confusing with the access road. - SailorGolf
Apr 2017 - $35.00
We called ahead and were told that no one would be in the office when we arrived so just take a site by the office. Park is poorly marked so we had trouble finding it. When we got there, there were no sites by the office that we could see. One of the residents directed us to a site which was a back in. Once we got on the site we found there was no water. The grass was long and hadn't been cut for weeks by the look of it. In the morning we went to the office to pay . It was a filthy mess with papers and stuff all over. The office person did not seem to care that we had no water and didn't offer to refund any money because of it. We would have been better off to just stay at a WalMart !! - Jan Griff

They claim in the Good Sam RV Travel Guide, to have 140 available spaces. That might be so if you have a 20' travel trailer with 30 amp power. They have no spaces with 50 amp power that are easily accessible. We have stayed here three times. During the first two times we could not get level, needed three sewer hoses to reach the connection and ruined our rock guard trying to get in the space. All spaces are small. Many have water, but no sewer or sewer but no water. There are power boxes and/or water pipes, not no guts to the power or faucets for the water. During our last visit we opted to try a 30 amp spot...couldn't get level, had to run both power and water hoses back under the coach to plugins, and had to run the generator to keep warm. This park could be a gold mine if fixed up and maintained. However, nothing changes, we've had it,and will not stay here again. $35 with no discount is about twice what this park should charge. We felt sorry for the lady in the office, she knew nothing about the RV side of the business. Thus, she was no help as we tried to find a space with both power, water and sewer. - Old GI

Nov 2018 - $46.00
This review is just about the campground at Stone Mountain Park. It has nothing to do with the rest of the beautiful park. Everyone has to pay the $20 entrance fee just to drive to the office. All employees are very nice and helpful. We had site #317, a standard FHU site in Loop M. We were already hesitant to drive into the woods when we saw the narrow, rough road and lots and lots of low hanging trees. we were crawling to our site over broken asphalt and exposed roots. The site was even worse, 8 inches of boards needed to level the trailer. After unhooking I had to lower the front about 15 inches to be level back to front!! The electric station was falling apart but worked. It got repaired the next day. Unfortunately it was getting dark and we didn't go back to ask for another site. Cable, electric, water, sewer worked fine. It was the worst campsite in 12 years of extensive traveling and we will never go back. T-Mobile was weak and slow. - swissman
Nov 2018 - $79.00
We won't be back. First annoyance was a $20.00 entrance fee to get into the park, added to the already high rates for the quality of what they offer. That fee is collected at a toll gate that was about 8'6" wide and extremely difficult to maneuver through without damage. No mention of that extra fee was provided on registration, or on the web. Check-in process was not friendly at all. Another annoyance was the crumbling asphalt on the camp pads. The rest of the "attraction" experience was over commercialized, designed solely to extract cash. Laundry room was old, beat-up and dirty. Georgia needs to take a second look at this facility, and the company that runs it. - Dan Hannah
Nov 2018 - $65.00
This park needs some road work. The asphalt is breaking away, and the tree roots have pushed up the roads quite a bit. The roads are narrow with trees and cars to watch out for, and the site is gravel and not very level. We were in site # 307 pull thru, and it was fun hooking up at an angle. It was a nice park to walk all the loops with the dogs, but was pretty deserted in late October when we stayed there. This park has a lot of potential if some money were put into it. - Vipermanden

Jan 2019 - $38.00
Stayed a month in this RV park. The office staff was very kind and provided clear directions on how to maneuver the park roads to my site. The site was level and had an elevated patio which was perfect for my RV. The patio was old and had broken concrete but it was very good to have when it rained. The park is quiet despite being close to a major roadway. Wi-Fi - very good signal T-Mobile - 4 of 4 bars. Electric - no issues Water - no issues Sewer - no issues Satellite - no issues. - Peter G
Jul 2018 - $39.00
Close to Stone Mountain and Atlanta! Quiet, spacious sites, (not much shade). Friendly professional staff. This former trailer park is primarily an RV Park now with nice level sites, quality utilities (high water pressure-bring a regulator), - dbcnc
May 2018 - $40.00
This not a campground for campers who are looking for activities or amenities. It has no restrooms or showers, no meeting rooms, and no planned activities. But it is a great choice for someone looking for a reliable full hookup and a quiet place to stay in a commercially busy area. The park is very large and spread out but has a limited number of sites available for transients. There are a substantial number of permanent residents but also many unused potential sites available for improvement to a level where they could accommodate a unit. While not at all a typical RV park, we enjoy staying here. It provides a nice site in a good location and plenty of space. Since we are full-timers who are self-contained, we do not require the showers or other amenities. For us, this is a high rated park. - seeyajohn

Jul 2016 - $40.00
This place should be burned to the ground. It's beyond words how bad the infrastructure is. Many sites have power poles that are destroyed or worse, bare wire with electrical tape. The roads are narrow and pothole laden, and the water can range from normal to green slime coming from the water tap. The majority of the guests are monthly renters who have turned this place into a worse than trailer park situation. Avoid at all costs. - cjcoombs
Jun 2015 - $25.00
This is the most horrible park we have ever stayed at. We were wishing that we had just parked in a truck stop for the night. the site was horrible uneven We could not even put our slides out because we could not put down jacks as it was so uneven. They have only 30amp service . Tthis place has some potential but it needs a lot of work to get up to what people want in a RV park . - indian
Aug 2013 - $30.00
This place was beautiful on a lake with water side camp sites. It would be a solid 10 if they would install AC in the restrooms. Paved streets, paved sites, very clean. When it is 95 degrees outside, it is over 100 degrees in the restrooms. Just cool them down and this is a great park. I will be back. - aliner man

Oct 2018 - $50.00
There appear to be nice sites here. Made reservation about 2:30 p.m. got the "last drive through site" - #26. (We pull a 35' 5th wheel). It's a miserable site where the RV steps open right up onto an internal road. WiFi weak and variable. The lady who manned the shop was very nice and helpful, so that wasn't any problem. For $50 a night - after Good Sam discount and a $1 discount after I noted the truly questionable site. it's truly the least value place we've been (Central Oregon to Marietta). If this site is the only on offer, skip it. - William Bolitho
Aug 2018 - $55.00
By far the worst experience of our whole trip, 2-night stay. One (1) single shower and rest room functional for 51 sites, muddy water, and when we left the site for a few hours the manager had given it to someone else. - AlfNew
Mar 2018 - $45.00
Definitely a mixed bag. Mostly long term, working folks with a few transient spots. Nice clean new showers and laundry. Sites are a little tight and there is a surplus of mud when it rains. But is is very peaceful and quiet at night (except for train whistles in the distance). Tucked into a residential area with narrow but navigable streets to get in and out. Call for reservations - don't bother with the web site form, it won't be answered. Friendly staff though when you call. Quite expensive for what you get but supply is quite limit near Atlanta. We stayed 3 nights. - MNroadie

Apr 2018 - $13.00
The park is very old and needs major updating. The roads are bad, 1/2 of the homesteaders' trailers are in real bad condition with canvas covers over them. A lot of them need a wash real bad. There are pot holes on every corner. No one follows the rules. There are a lot of stray cats around park. Could not get any one in charge to deal with them!!! There are junk piles in front and along side of a lot of trailers. Some homesteaders let their dogs poop any where and don't pick up after them, they just let them out, no leash and they go where ever. Some of the C section pads are missing concrete in the middle row so they are not usable. Water pressure was hit and miss, some times of the day there was no pressure. - USAF

Office staff pleasant. Park is in very bad condition. This should be a 1 night last resort stop. - Va70
Mar 2017 - $15.00
My rate is based on monthly rate of $400 that includes electrical and wifi. I stayed at Riverside Estates from December 2016 thru February 2017. This may not be an RV resort, but it is a good place to stay if in the Atlanta area. The Park offers full hook up's, and has both 30 and 50 amp service. WiFi was included with the site and, for the most part, I had good wifi service - as good as or better than other campground's wifi. Many of the people in the Park were long term and, except for a few, all rigs were in good condition. The sites were well maintained. The campground is an older campground in need of a makeover, and the current management is in the process of giving it a face lift. The sites are concrete and level with some cracking of the site pad due to age. The sites are not large, but are of average or larger than other places I have stayed. Most of the sites are in the open with a few trees scattered throughout. There are both back-in and pull thru sites with plenty of room for maneuvering thru the park. I selected B Section next to the Yellow River, which I was told was a flood plain before I decided on the site. During a heavy rain the river started to rise and the management team went to each camper and informed them they may have to relocate, gave them new sites to move to, and an emergency number to call if needed. I enjoyed my stay at Riverside Estate's everyone I came in contact with were friendly and a pleasure to interact with. I had great neighbors, some same your neighbors are the same no matter where you are... - Andy52
