Nov 2016 - $18.00
This is a no frills city park, with spacious pull through sites.
I was a bit worried about showing up without a reservation in November, but the park was mostly empty.
Pretty quiet, but some train noise in the evening (but it didn't wake us up at night).
3 bars of Verizon LTE (fast enough to stream).
We'll definitely stay here again if we pass through this part of GA. - Robert Lee
Nov 2016 - $18.00

Sites are all pull thru, lots of tree, level packed gravel. - canyon453
Apr 2016 - $18.00
Can't rate the service because there isn't any. That being said, this is a well maintained self service park. Sites are huge and level. The electric is all 50 amp ...if we had paid attention to website we would have known that. Fortunately there is a walmart less than a mile down the road that sells adapters. Peaceful, close to town. Antenna picked up good tv. Would definitely stay here again if ever there was a reason to go back to Vidalia. - drewcher
May 2018 - $30.00
Campsites are all 30/50 amp power with water & a dump station is on the property. Shaded spots with fire rings and picnic tables. Large, level gravel sites which most spots can accommodate larger rigs. Playground, Heritage Center, nature trails all within the campground. Boat launch is available into the Altamaha River. Very beautiful, tranquil campground. Well worth the money. - JoAnns Food Bites
Oct 2017 - $25.00
Stayed at this park for 2 nights while traveling thru the area. Sites are gravel with a gravel pad with picnic table and fire ring, spacious, shaded, level and well maintained. Camp host was very helpful and knowledge as well as the office staff. Museum in the Heritage Center office is very informative and interesting with information about the area and wildlife. This park is adjacent to the Altamaha River, which is only a short walk from the campground. Bathrooms are well maintained and clean. Washer and dryer on site. Sites are 30/50 amp with water and electric, dump station near the exit gate. This park is gated and requires a code for entry. We will definitely stay here again when traveling thru the area. - Hazel K

We had a very nice relaxing stay in this shaded campground provided by scrub pines. What was extra special was we had grass, freshly mowed for our dogs to enjoy. There was a patio of sorts made with fine gravel, that the picnic table and fire pit sat on, in addition to the grass. This site was very secluded, with the angle it's on, so if there had been a full campground you'd have not any worries about privacy. Our stay was during the week so the campground was nearly empty. They have a nice museum to explore, and a river close by, but not viewable from any of the camp sites. The reason for our stay was to escape the heat of Florida and wasn't planned, we were on our way north and decided to stop for a few days to check the area out. There isn't much to do for kids, there's a small playground, but not much else. The camp host are awesome people, very helpful with directions and what ever your needs are like delivering ice, or firewood should you need it. We ended up staying for 3 days, exploring the area and visiting some unique shops in the area. If your ever stay here at the Towns Bluff, you have to visit the Blueberry Barn. If you like blueberries, you'll love this place, everything Blueberries !! All in all we liked this campground, clean, bathrooms and showers are well kept, laundry didn't rip you off, it was $1 to wash, 35mins and $1 to dry, 45 mins ! There is only 1 washer and 1 dryer, which could be a small problem if everyone was doing laundry at the same time. The dump station is at the entrance, clean as a dump station can be. - Bellabad
Mar 2019 - $35.00
First time here and we really enjoyed the park. We got a FHU site, which was nice, but it was not level at all (only FHU available). They were transitioning to a site specific reservation system and we were caught in that transition. They have a great cable tv selection which is unusual at state parks we've visited. If you play golf the course looked amazing. They were remodeling the lodge and we didn't try their restaurant. Verizon was 2 bars and it gets stretched thin on weekends when the park fills up. We would stay here again (on a different site) if we pass back through. - jtl2
Aug 2018 - $28.00
Campsite was good with gravel and only required a few pads to level the RV. Good bathrooms and showers. Enjoyed hiking but the water/pond/river is overgrown with an invasive species so that basically it is "yucky"! They have been working on it for several years. - J and C

This is our favorite State Park. In our travels, we have found very few State Parks with 50 amp service and full hookups, and very few are Big Rig Friendly. This is a lovely park, pretty lake, big sites and all in all very nice. I do wish that they had more sites with sewers especially those with 50 amp. However, we have always been able to find one. Cable TV in a State Park? Awesome! We stay here every time we come to this area and never want to leave when it's time. - GranNan06
Jul 2018 - $20.00
Great family atmosphere. Owners are very friendly and very accommodating. The bath house was exceptional! Kayak and canoe rentals include a convenient shuttle for drop off and pick up. Will definitely be back! - Libby Bridges
Jun 2011 - $1.00
This is a Church Retreat in south central Georgia. Our stay was free as we were part of a volunteer group to do maintenance work preparing for summer youth camp. They are always looking for free help and allow you to stay in the 27 site full hook up RV park while helping. They also have cabins and dinning facilities. The best part is the 70 degree mineral spring and water park. You don't have to work everyday so you can do sightseeing while there. - A hitch and hop
