Before reserving online, I suggest you call to confirm the rates they post! They are totally deceptive about rates and other services. When I made my reservation, it was listed (for 7 nights) @ $189, but upon arrival am told it is $269, so looked online again, and it says $189. I called and asked about it, and they said it is their seasonal rates, which there was never a mention of on their website!! It has all been updated online now! Also, be sure to ask all particulars about wifi! My site was low enough in front, that I had to use extra blocks to take the front wheels off the ground! I won't stay here again! We camped at Fair Harbor RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We stayed here for 3 nights to see the sights in the area. The park is easy to get to & from Interstate 75 (less than a quarter mile away).

We had contacted the park well ahead of our arrival regarding the number of satellite friendly sites. We were told that "many" of their sites have a clear view of the southern sky for satellite reception. On the day of our arrival, we called to ensure of site availability. We received a recording saying there were sufficient sites available for the night but the recording recommended making a reservation to get a "premium" pull-through site. Tried to connect to a human to make the reservation but the system would not transfer the call so there was no way to make a reservation. When we arrived, we discovered their definition of "many" was different than ours. So, we asked for a satellite friendly site. We were told that wasn't possible. We were put into a in a row that had extensive tree covering. The row directly behind us were the reservation sites. They had a good chance of getting satellite reception. They didn't fill up for the three days we were there. Those sites seemed to be used for short stay travelers as turn over occurred daily. It seems they could have been put in one of those to get satellite reception but that didn't happen.

The park was built on ground that has significant elevation changes. The interior roads were paved but narrow. Even the designated two way road was not any wider than the designated one way roads. While we were there, an RV collided with a parked vehicle due in part to the encroachment of opposing vehicles parked along the road. There wasn't much space in sites to park extra vehicles. But that didn't stop people from parking extra vehicles (included ATV/golf carts).

The sites are narrow. The pull-through sites seemed to be long enough for larger coaches with their toads attached. The sites were generally level.

Two fenced designated pet areas but they were not on the map or marked so you have to stumble on them. There was sufficient area to walk a dog around the park's road system. There were no bag dispensers around the park to pick up waste.

Wi-Fi reception was very slow. We camped at Fair Harbor RV Park in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed in this park several times in the past and were pleased, but this last time wasn't so good. The Wi-Fi is virtually non-existent. It is so slow that your search times out more often than not. It gets bogged down as more people try to log on. The cable TV is snowy most of the time. It looks like you are using rabbit ears instead of cable. The laundry room used to be spotless with nice older machines. Now it's dusty, grimy, lint laden with one less washer. The shower room was the worst disappointment. They were always clean. This time they were full of mildew, mold and crusty grime around the soap dishes. The floor was disgusting. What happened? When the owners were approached with concerns, their attitude was, "If you don't like it here, move on down the road." Big disappointment. We camped at Fair Harbor RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

As a member of a large camping group, we share experiences and then plan trips to those destinations that the membership would enjoy. We were looking forward to our visit to F.H. R.V. Park. Upon arrival the office was closed on Sundays, We were not informed of this when we made reservation or told with e-mail confirmation. Just a sign on the door stating which sites were available for those with a reservation. Out of the handful of sites, most had deep ruts leading off the blacktop to sand sites. Major leveling required. All hook-ups close and convenient, but sites are very close together. If slides are out not much room for anything else. CG hostess was very helpful and friendly, Wi-Fi did operate fast and load quickly. Cable stations are fuzzy at best on a new TV. Our stay was overnight, and when we awoke were greeted with the smell of raw sewage. We were so disappointed with this park, we had planned on staying again on our trip back home. But will find another place. We camped at Fair Harbor RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Stayed because it was a Passport America part. Not the worst place we ever camped at but not the best for sure. Un-level campsites - - - but for the amount we paid $9.50 how can you go wrong. We camped at Fair Harbor RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here on a Sunday, the office was not open, the WiFi was not working ... I would stay here again if I was passing through, but there are a bunch of better places if you feel like driving an extra 20 miles or so. We camped at Fair Harbor RV Park in a Motorhome.
