19 RV Parks near Savannah, Georgia
Oct 2019 - $57.00
This is the worst park we have stayed at. No toilets. No showers. Cable doesn’t work. No WiFi. Office closed 3 pm Saturday till Monday morning. Noisy road. The list goes on.... AVOID and go somewhere else. - Des and Sandie
Aug 2018 - $50.00
The RV sites are nice, level & well cared for. That being said, there is NO sign for the entrance other than a Good Sam sign hanging on a fence. We made the mistake of thinking the entrance was past the building. We had to disconnect our toad & jockey our 35 ft motor home to get it turned around. During which the owner came out & yelled that we were going to break the already broken concrete by driving on it. We did get turned around, & pulled into the park. It went down from there. The wife who checked us in was very nasty, she was very angry that we had made a mistake & turned into the wrong spot. We spent 3 days there & had no further contact with these unpleasant people. There is no laundry, showers, pool, dog park, nothing to offer. In hindsite we should have moved on. This park definitely goes on the NEVER AGAIN list! We are full time RVers with over 80,000 miles on the motor home & are experienced drivers. Mistakes happen to even the most experienced when a park does not properly mark their entrance/exit. Note, we looked later to see if we missed a sign, there is nothing there. This experience was not a very good one for someone who has never been to Savannah!! - On the Road Rose
Mar 2018 - $54.00
This is not a KOA. With that said it is a beautiful clean park with the basic amenities. Water, sewer and electric. I loved the shade from the overhanging trees. If you want a campground to visit Savannah you will not be disappointed. Although there are no bathrooms or laundry it is a lovely campground. Very quiet and great location to down town. If you're counting on the trolley be sure to call to see the weeks it runs. - SuzyQ1959
Oct 2019 - $42.00
We spent two weeks here in our 34 ft 5th wheel. Like any place there are pros and cons.
Pros: 200 acres to hike and roam on. 4-5 ponds to fish on. A beautiful pool with the best lounge chairs I’ve ever seen at a park yet. Horses, goats, peacocks and cats! All well cared for. For a fee you can ride the horses or take a carriage ride. You can pet the goats, horses and cats. Beautiful landscaping! Gravel sites that get good satellite. Open field in front of sites so it feels open. Staff is awesome! They came and let our dogs out during lunch one day so we could site see. You can schedule a trolly pick up for $30.95 that has on off until 4:30pm. Laundry looks nice, we didn’t use it though. Bathrooms at pool are just darling!
Cons: it is right near a highway and busy train track. I love trains so it wasn’t too bad for me. Never woke us up. Ants ants everywhere! However I’ve seen hills every place in savannah! Worst for us was they have 4 venues for weddings on land. On weekends you can hear music and/or base from reception.
I think the pros way outweigh the cons! - Danette S
Oct 2019 - $41.00
Back in sites are easy. Back in sites are the only ones with shade. Most pull through sites are in a large field with no shade. If the weather is hot, you will bake. Good dog walking areas. Only 2 restrooms for entire park, located in the main “house”. - SamMack
Oct 2019 - $44.00
The road into the park is terrible. Very large pothole and very rough. The parking area to register is about a half block from the office. The site is in a open field and very spacious. There is no circuit breaker on the electrical pole. It is a nice park for a short stay and is convent to Savanna. The Trolly tour bus will come to the park to pick us up and bring us back. I would stay here again if in the area. - bones1941
Jul 2018 - $10.00
I enjoyed living here. I live in my camper full time. I travel to wherever my work is, and live in nearby campgrounds. I paid by the month, so I have no idea what the nightly rent is here.
I'm beginning to see "drain flys" in some of the parks I stay in. I would recommend leaving gray water closed off too at this park. I had no issues with my power during my stay. - sparksarehers
May 2017 - $45.00
Well, this will teach me to always make reservations ahead, and read reviews! After going to the RV park that my husband picked out and finding out it was full, I called 5 more places and they were all full. Finally we found a place just outside Savannah called Sunshine RV Park. An elderly man checked us in and drove us to our spot. I will say this for him, he was nice enough to guide my husband into a back in spot, as he doesn't have much experience with this. He doesn't take plastic, only cash or check. It is $45 per night, no good Sam discount. For 4 nights that is $180. It is quiet here and apparently in a safe place. Another reviewer complained that there were roaches that infested their RV but that was a couple years ago. I hope that problem has been solved!! I went over this morning to check out the laundry room. There is no way on earth I would put my clothes in those dirty stinky washers. They appeared very old, and some actually had slime around the interior! The adjacent bathroom, unisex, was about the filthiest I've ever seen. Very small, broken fixtures, no soap or towels. Now I see why it is not good Sam rated! We have 2 weeks of dirty clothes piled up, so I guess we will be going to a laundromat in town. - rnmcampers
Apr 2017 - $45.00
Other parks were full when we visited the Savannah area, so we stayed at the Sunshine RV Park. First, one needs to understand the check-in process. The park is in a residential and government area. To check in, you pull up in front of the owner's house - park on the street and walk up to his/her garage which has an "Office" sign on it. When I checked-in, I was not given a map of the park, or any documentation whatsoever. They were, however, very adept at taking my $135 for three nights - which is only accepted by cash or personal check. Then, you drive down the street to another relative's house and are told where to park. The "main" park has a couple of typical loops and is located behind a fence. We were in the auxiliary area, which is a U shaped parking lot with back-in spaces around the outside. They sites here are close together and there is absolutely no shade. The sites in the main park appeared a bit better. This park is fine for a short basic stay. By that I mean, it's safe, relatively clean, and all of the hook-ups work. Don't expect much beyond that. - CampingWithPoodles
Oct 2019 - $35.00
The only drawback is we were staying 5 days and only a few sites had sewers. BUT the park is GORGEOUS with the Spanish moss bripping from the trees. Nice spacious sites. - Sammy23
Oct 2019 - $42.00
Campsite was clean and the gravel raked when we got there. Interior roads are very narrow except for the main road. Watch for traffic as they don't enforce the speed limits. We had a cable problem when we hooked up, but they got it fixed within an hour. Good response and good people. Check in was easy and everyone was friendly and helpful. Our site was fully shaded and very spacious. 20 minutes to Savannah downtown, 40 to Tybee Island. We would/will camp here again. - DebDon
Oct 2019 - $36.00
Beautiful park. Paved roads. Only problem with roads in my section was that they were very bumpy. Cable reception was very poor but OTA reception was very good. Did not report problem with office. Wooded sites. My site, like many others was a "horseshoe" pull thru but the turn into the site was too tight for me. Backed in without problems. Site was perfectly level side to side. Large raised platform for picnic table and/or tent. Very close to good grocery store. Power and water pressure good. Trash dumpsters located adjacent to dump station. - MissingLinc
Sep 2019 - $43.00
The park has several pull through sites with full hook-up, pleasant and helpful management, a pool and small workout room. Back area closer to the river is more shaded and quiet, compared to this front which was closer to the main road, so there was traffic noise. The site we were in blocked our satellite but they have several cable channels. There isn't any wi-fi. Only a 20-30 minute drive to Savannah. - tooters74
Aug 2019 - $43.00
It probably was a very nice park, but is run down right now from what we seen. It needs some TLC. The roads to the pads need to be wider for 5th wheels and Class A's. - pinkyjune
Aug 2019 - $40.00
We stayed two nights for a visit to Savannah, which was a out thirty minutes. Nice, rustic park. The interior roads are rather confusing, so we were glad we were escorted to our site. - Maga04
Nov 2019 - $72.00
Nice campground. We stayed during Thanksgiving and the campground provided a turkey dinner with fixing with a request of those attending bring a side dish. We had a concrete pull thru lake front site that was about 75 feet long which was ok but narrow. Site up keep could have been better for the rate that was charged there were rocks were all over the concrete pad and in the grass area next to the concrete patio pad also no cable tv in the lake section of campground. All in all a nice campground with some minor annoyances. - EJS4029
Nov 2019 - $77.00
Super nice campground. We stayed during Thanksgiving and the campground provided Turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes and pies. Staff served everybody. We were escorted to our site. Garbage is picked up 2 times a day at the site. We had a concrete pull thru that was about 75 feet long. Some are gravel. Roads are asphalt and easy to maneuver. All the staff are super nice. No cable TV but over the air digital cable came in good and there were many channels. Verizon had about 3 bars. We were a group of 5 campers and really enjoyed our stay. Already talking about coming back next year. - wduff
Nov 2019 - $60.00
Made a reservation with the online system for a premium site and was confirmed. Got a voicemail a week later that said the online system was "broken" and the site I booked was not available. They were putting us in a lower priced pull-through and would refund the difference in price when we got there. Checked in and was given the worst site in the park. It was a narrow gravel site with utility posts so close I cannot open basement doors. Site is also the worst one in the park with park utilities in our yard space. They also refused to refund our money from the lower site rate saying we might buy something at the store. I asked to have the manager call me several times and never got a call. Do not use the online reservation system if you book here, call them and make sure you get a name of who made the reservation. Lots of construction noise during the week as they are expanding. Also, they use Tengo for wifi which means slow (.5mb speed) and have to login in daily. Pool and grounds are nice, but this park needs some major work to be a great resort, head to Hilton Head instead. - sheltieRV

Sep 2019 - $20.00
A small Campground in close proximity to Savanna. Spacious and very quiet. Just inside the Rio Gate at Hunter Airfield with a nice commissary. The camp host is making great strides to keep the grounds up and make them look better. Lots of trees for shade. - DMAC57
Dec 2018 - $25.00
This park was a perfect 2-day stop for us to tour Savannah. The camp site host was very accommodating. The site was clean and the hookups worked great. The park is located within in a 2-minute walking distance from a nice large mall and within a 5-minute walking distance from a Walmart. Considering the location and the extra peace of being in a gated community (on a military base), this is a good value. We would certainly return to this park. - Gweninthewind
Apr 2018 - $25.00
This park could be a nice park, but it seems to have no one keeping up with it. They were closed Tuesday and Wednesday so we arrived Tuesday with no one to tell us anything and no warning for that to happen. We never did receive the WiFi password. Our site was also covered in broken glass and ant piles and they hadn't mowed in a long time. The area was so nice that if they just managed it, it'd be amazing. The sites are spacious and with the trees it could be beautiful. It's very close to everything too. - Twintravelers
Mar 2017 - $11.00
We stayed here for 5 weeks, and I must say this park was wonderful. Simple, clean, quiet, and convienent. We bring our 5th wheel when we work in the Savannah area, and this is the 4th campground we have stayed in. We will never stay anywhere else. We were 10-15 min from downtown Savannah, and 20-30 min from Hilton Head. I felt safe because it was a gated community and everyone was very friendly. They provide cable and WIFI. The office lady was ALWAYS a phone call away, and honestly at the campground most of the time. We were sad to leave Bellinger Hill/ Len Thomas, and are already looking forward to wording there again. - -G-
Sep 2016 - $11.00
(This was a monthly stay so I just divided by 30) was 350 per month and this included the WI-FI, cable, water and garbage. Electric ran about 15.00 per month. Propane was delivered. Extra secure as it had a gated community. Also had a clean laundry room with good machines (not expensive), ice and soda machine. 15 minutes to Savannah and 20ish to Hilton Head. Definitely would recommend and we will stay there again. They also had rental units and cabins available, we rented the cabin last year and it was great. Quiet, friendly neighbors and pet friendly. Also near to a wildlife preserve. - EACreech
Sep 2016 - $25.00
One night stay. Take Exit 8 from the north or the south to save time. Quiet campground with roomy sites. Not a destination place unless you want to use it to explore Savannah. No one in registration when we arrived so we had to call a few times. It was easy in and easy out which is what we wanted. Would stay here in our fifth wheel again. - TailsAwagging
Jul 2016 - $30.00
Nice Park, big spaces
Easy drive to Savannah
Stayed here three days while we toured the area.
Good value, courteous staff. - happyflyer
Jun 2016 - $30.00
Needed a one night while heading north from FL. This was farther out of the way than anticipated. For some reason, the website gave definite instructions for those coming from the south on I-95 to get on I-16. Those coming from the north could exit I-95 and proceed to the CG. It seemed a bit out of the way. It was closer to re-enter 95 as you don't have to retrace your path. However, it is not a hop off and on location, but is doable. Check in was friendly and efficient. fyi-check or cash only. Our site was a spacious pull-thru, was gravel, and was very level. There is a dog park and plenty of areas to walk the dog. There is some road noise from Hwy 315. The cable channels were all local-not many, and the WIFI worked well during the day and later at night. It slowed quite a bit during the evening and earlier night hours. We would stay here again if in the area. - Gayle E.
