Nov 2018 - $55.00
Found this park in Good Sam travel guide. Listing was before it became KOA. Price was up about 50% from 2017 rates. Park was nice overall. Staff was friendly. They were doing some renovation work to the bathrooms but had a temporary (portable) arrangement in place (we did not use). Some large trees but most sites are sunny. Camp store looked well stocked. Marathon gas station across the road is easily RV accessible for gas or diesel rigs. - Dave from Indy
May 2018 - $33.00
Surprisingly large RV park just off I-75, about 5 miles south of Georgia. You can tell it was built in the 60's and some of the park hasn't seen much improvement. But there isn't much going on around here and their primary guests are overnight travelers making a way point stop. The sites are all pull-thrus and VERY close together. Not long enough for bigger rigs and we had to park truck sideways. Sites are asphalt and ours wasn't quite level. All hookups seemed fine. Nice clubhouse (locked for some reason), large A/C'ed laundry room with 6 machines and a large nice pool. Small "Country Store" in office has limited stock. - Todd Hancock
May 2018 - $38.00
Nice park with friendly staff. The camp store was really understocked while we were there, but that is the only negative thing I have to say about this park. The sites were spaced well with full hookups at each site. There was a pool that was nice sized but the weather was a little chilly for swimming while we were there. The showers and laundry room were clean and easy to access. Sites were paved as were the roads. Easy access to I-75 North or South. I would stay here again when in the area. We stayed here in a motorhome. - Papabee49

What a great place to lay over a night on the way to/from Florida! Very easy access from the interstate, roads inside the park are wide and sites were ample for our 40' motorhome with toad attached. Okeefenokee swamp a day trip away for any who would stay longer. - Lou Ellen
Nov 2018 - $40.00
Easy on & off from interstate 75. An ok place for a day or 2. Sites not too close together. Clean large showers. The store looked pretty well stocked although I didn't buy anything there. Close to stores & restaurants. NO cable tho. Not even one TV station with an antenna. - DASigrom 2018- 01_
Nov 2018 - $39.00
Loved the SpanishMoss hanging from the trees. Some road noises from the interstate and the office smelled like a litter box. The rv Park was very nice. If you plan to use their restroom don’t forget your code. - Roadtrip500

We were given a site in the "upper" area of the campground, which is right next to a Camping World. The sites were all asphalt and level, but they were completely lacking in charm (see photo). The first site that we were assigned was too short for our travel trailer and car. We were reassigned to a site that was a bit longer. (Actually, we were reassigned twice - the first reassigned space was taken up by a storage trailer, and we had to ask again.) Shortly before we arrived, a water pipe broke in the campground, and we didn't have water for the first couple of hours. There were no trees, and our picnic table was melted in the middle (as though someone had left a hot grill on it). There were sites on a lower level, which had trees and other campers, but we weren't given a site there (even though it was a weekday and not crowded). For most of the evening, we were the only people on the upper level, which was kind of creepy since there was no gate. There was one travel trailer that appeared to be functional but not occupied. There were two obviously non-functioning trailers and a storage trailer - and us. Later in the evening, one other travel trailer arrived and was gone before we woke up. (The travel trailers that you see on the right of my photo were part of the Camping World lot.) They sold firewood, but we didn't have a fire ring in our area of the campground. There was lots of traffic noise, making it difficult to sleep. There was a swimming pool and small pond with paddle boats (we think the warning sign about alligators and poisonous snakes was probably a joke). There is a swimming pool that seemed nice (we didn't use it). There are no planned activities. The office has a few supplies, but not much. The woman who checked us in was very nice, and they do have late arrival. The grass needed to be cut around the sites on top and in the dog park. For kids who are interested in wildlife, there are frogs, toads, and lizards to be seen. - Morning Star
Jun 2018 - $30.00
We have stayed there before when it belonged to Camping World but this time the new owners raised their rates from $25.00 to $30.00. The billboard on the interstate says 25.00 and they don't take Good Sam or any discount. The air conditioner in the bathhouse at the lakeside sites was not working. Very hot in there! We couldn't look for a site that we liked without checking in first and paying. We ended up having to change our site anyway because we couldn't get our awning out because of a big tree and the sites are concrete and nice but the ones we have stayed on are not level. I will say the staff was very friendly but the campground just needs a lot more work done which I was told they were working on. Unfortunately we won't be staying there again. - happy camper everyday
May 2018 - $30.00
Very disappointed this trip. We have stayed at this park many times to meet with Friends and have a good time. In the past it was good Sam and lower priced. When we arrived it was $5 per night higher priced than stated on highway billboard and no discount. So my cost for 4 nights was $50 more than expected. No pool, no cable. Will find new location to set up with friends. - David and Donna Biggers

Aug 2018 - $25.00
We stayed here for an overnight. We chose our Grassy Pond for the price and it didn't seem to be as mossy from the pictures. This is a decent park. 6 pull thrus. Don't expect to get satellite, which was fine for us. We only hooked up our electric. We turned off our middle air conditioner because the electric popped when we tried to use the convection oven, again, no big deal. The staff was pleasant and this wasn't much further from I 75. $25.00 and no tax was quite affordable. We'll stay again. We stayed in a 45' motorhome towing. - SillyAnn
Apr 2018 - $11.00
Used this spot when traveling through the area. Very convenient. The park was nice and the ease of the pull-thru was great for one night. Would have enjoyed spending more then one night...next time! - Willyby2
Mar 2018 - $24.00
A military park but open to the public. Very spacious sites though most are tree covered and sites seem level. As you approach the camp rv sites are to your right and if you proceed a little farther on your left are most are pull-through, these are what you want. Very nice and satellite friendly. Sites are NOT reserved, first come first site. Great fishing lake with lots of activity and very family friendly. Also includes boat marina with fishing piers, snack shop. Need a Moody fishing pass at $2.00 a day. Wifi works marginal if that, no cable. Will come back.. - Caseysplace

The road to this park is very rough in the beginning (dirt). But the park is beautiful. The sites are large and level. - wicknomore
Mar 2014 - $80.00
This campground has a lot of potential but it fell short in several areas. Here are the pros: premium sites have nice patios with BBQ, fire pit, furniture, and most had hot tubs ($80 rate we paid), easy off highway but quiet for overnight stop, easy to maneuver our big rig to site, pool (empty during our visit) and pond with sand beach and small playground, minimal traffic so kids can ride bikes safely Now (sadly) for the cons: everything in the resort is half-finished (like a grand project that ran out of money/steam) standard sites are basically grassy field with hookups, bathrooms poorly designed with water running everywhere, hot tub lukewarm and outdoor sink plugged, rough 1 mile road entry (not a problem for our rig, but passing another big rig would have been scary with swamp on either side) I would potentially stay here again, but with a few caveats. I would only stay in the premium site, especially if coming in after hours. That being said, for the price, it's hard to justify as an over night because I wish we had more time to enjoy the peaceful setting, walking and riding around, and using the hot tub/grill/patio that we paid for (and that the hot tub was actually HOT)...otherwise don't think it's worth $80. - EPT
Feb 2014 - $22.00
Very clean quiet park. As mentioned before the road in was narrow and very bumpy, but not the fault of the campground (county road). We got here after dark and the package for our spot was there ready for us and was easy to find. Not very level site, but that could be due to the darkness and not being able to see properly. Hookups all worked very well. We stayed two days and would stay again. Rate reflects Passport America - Tundra2084

Wife and I stayed for little over 2 months. Excellent managers. Eager to make your stay the best. Eager to help in any situation. Very clean beautiful park. Managers work very hard keeping the park looking good. If we are ever in Valdosta we will stay at River park again. - Clark and Joni
Oct 2018 - $35.00
Nice & convenient overnight park for overnight stay. Too many full time campers which makes place look a little seedy. Would have rather been closer to the bathhouse but those sites are "saved". No pool or playground at this campground. A picnic table would have been nice. - Mri7853

Awesome park, easy in and out. Great shower/bathroom. Fenced in area for our dog to run around in. Easy paved pull through. Will be back again!! - Ellen-Ted

Jul 2017 - $35.00
If you want to "camp the real Florida", there are hundreds of better maintained state parks, than this establishment. I have never seen so many cigarette butts, empty cigarette packs, and overall trash at a campground in a very long time, until I came here. the pool is vert small, and frequently closed for various reasons. The sites are tightly packed. Cable coax present, but not functional. The food at the restaurant is disgusting. The breakfast buffet (all 6 pans) had powdered eggs, burnt biscuits, slimy watermelon (covered in flies), and a few items I couldn't tell what they were. We were told dinner was going to be "some sort of pasta in brown sauce". If you want to be nearly run over by children racing around on golf carts (not even trying to obey posted speed and direction signs), or drunk adults blasting Hank Jr. from the same jacked up carts, this campground is for you. We stayed due to having a free 3 day/2 night coupon from an RV show. I would not pay money to stay here. - KLong
May 2017 - $50.00
Our particular lot had litter scattered around. Cigarette butts and beer caps were very present. Had cable hook up but wasn't working. I stopped a staffer in a golf cart asking about the service. Assured me someone would check. Had to check at office myself. Flies were overwhelming. Lot was shady but difficult to find. For the money-back not worth the stay. - HMathis58
Apr 2017 - $30.00
We went for both the entertainment and camping. This is about the 8th time we've been there. Don't count on the cable TV to work well but we don't camp to watch TV. Weekend entertainment is always good as is dinner in their restaurant. Plenty of places to walk and congregate with friends. The dirt campsites can get sloppy in the rain but it's nice being in the rustic outdoors during the good Florida weather. We will definitely return, especially for the Elvis competitions in the Winter. Suwannee isn't fancy but we love it. - Arnie the DooWoper

An interesting CG, it's all grass, like camping in someone's big back yard. I think it's a bit overpriced for what they offer but it is a pretty location. They are a PA CG but no discount for overnight stays. - RedHorse1
May 2018 - $50.00
Stayed 4 nights in the horse camper section, spot #27... They have opened this section up to RV's as well. The power, 50amp, was spot on, the water pressure was good. No cable, was able to pick up about a half dozen air channels... The site was grass and was pretty much level. This is a no thrills place, nice and open with no noise at all. No pool or on site store, etc... As we had our pit/boxer mix with us we were surprised to see they had a 1 acre fenced, no leash dog park area next to the horse paddocks, that was very nice and unexpected... We will stay here again! - Adair

Jan 2019 - $25.00
WARNING - Not Big Rig Friendly. The audience for this review is owners of big rigs. If you are not a big rig, then this park is probably a great place to stay. We reserved a site for a 45' motorhome. Glad we disconnected and scouted in our tow vehicle before driving the motorhome into the park. Although our site was long enough to accomodate a 45'er, the curvy loop road to get to the site is narrow and lined with trees, posts, stumps, etc. No reasonable way to back into the reserved site. There are a few sites towards the back of the loop where this is not the case, however they were occupied. You can navigate the loop to these sites if you are slow and careful, and the park is not crowded and other site occupants don't crowd the roadway. The staff was great and understood our dilemma. They attempted to find another available site that might work, and when none were found, agreed to refund our money including reservation fees without issue. Also note that sites (with a few exceptions) are dirt and sand, not very level, and at least ours had large tree roots that if we could have fit, would have had to navigate placement of our tires and jack pads. If we were in a smaller rig, we would have stayed and enjoyed the park. Seemed peaceful. - Selectively Unemployed
Oct 2018 - $18.00
Sometimes the ranger is not on duty at the check-in station, just proceed to your reserved site, or if you don't have reservations , drive on thru look for a unreserved site , occupy it then go back and register. Sites can be unlevel , some sites had concrete pads others were dirt & sand. Restrooms and showers were excellent. - Cdr Bob
Oct 2018 - $22.00
This is a great park with easy access to I-10. We have stayed here several times. The sites are easy to get into and the staff is great. There are nice hiking trails. - Madd Dogg

Jan 2018 - $15.00
Daily rate is based on monthly rate per day. We stayed here in January 2018. The Web site claims that the sites are shaded and level. They are anything but. The only shade is on the perimeter. We had to use four leveling blocks to get level side to side. Sites are all pull through and was large enough for our 45' toy hauler and the tv. All sites are gravel and roads are paved with plenty of room to manuver. Laundry, bathroom and showers are quite a distance from most sitesbut are clean. The couple that manage the place are nice but not much help with problems that arise. Several sites were having problems with cable. The park sits next to the interstate so road noise is quite significant. It is convenient to restaurants, stores and other services. - twbbsb
Sep 2017 - $29.00
We were desperately in need of a place to stay since we were forced to evacuate due to Hurricane Irma. The lady in the office was very nice. That's where the fun ended. The site was so badly sloped that the auto-levelers on my 5th wheel wouldn't work. We did the best we could to get level but weren't prepared for such a drastic angle. I had to switch to 30 amp power because the 50amp voltage fluctuated so badly that our surge protector kept shutting us down. If the owners would take the time and spend a little money to plant some trees, fix the electric issues, level off the sites and provide picnic tables (there were none to be seen anywhere on the property), the property has potential. But as is, you couldn't pay me to stay there again. - Stever2017
Aug 2017 - $32.00
The most obvious issue is the terribly slanted sites. Yes, we could barely level our RV but this place is NOT worth $5 so I suggest entering a spot which has better facilities. There is virtually no shade and the electric and water services are barely adequate.Don't use this RV park! Mostly full-time RV's here - not worth the dollars! - Birdieman
