Older Park, small roads, some sites are very tight. Sites on southern side of Fort Ave have no shade. Walking distance to river and beach, restaurants, lighthouse. Overall great location, but the only game in town, thus the price. Clean facilities, friendly staff. - Roadkraut
Aug 2018 - $71.00
This is our third stay here. Prices continue to rise but, though tight, the sites are well kept and the staff is kind and attentive. With recent storms, they have lost many trees which is unfortunate. But there are still plenty of interior sites with shade trees. The sites are all white stone. Easiest for walking outdoors if you bring an outside carpet. We had a fire pit and a small picnic table that seated 4, plenty for us. Other sites with a bit more room had a bigger table. We watched staff daily going site to site, examining electric hookups and replacing any that seemed worn, painting picnic tables, and keeping the grounds clean. They are diligent at staying ahead of any repairs. Bathrooms/showers were very nice and clean, with plenty of room, some large enough for a family to use together. The on-site store has a wide variety of goods and an ATM. Two people are at the desk and all arrivals are met and escorted to their site by staff. It is a short walk to North Beach, the Lighthouse and Museum. We rented a golf cart and got around the island and beaches beautifully for a week. You'll feel very safe as the police station is right after the campground. There is a little traffic but speed limit is only 25 so noise is at a minimum. No doubt, this is not an inexpensive place. But, we love the island and camping and are always treated so well here. We will return again. - khorne
Apr 2018 - $60.00
The park is oddly laid out, but adequate site space. Roads are narrow & not designed for motor home maneuvers. Staff in office not the friendliest, actually rude at times, but I didn't need to deal with them thankfully. They guys who do the work on the grounds very friendly. - Ronzo Rig

Beautiful park. Lots are individually owned. Office and check in was great and staff was very friendly. Access to bike path from the park and biking to stores, restaurants, and the beach is very easy. Lots of great food nearby, some just a short walk. Publix across the street. Will return when it warms up a bit. Great stay. - Jess25
Sep 2018 - $90.00
We picked site 371 and could not have been happier. Rates are a little higher than we like, but will return. Close to everything we wanted including the beach. Easy in, nice roads and #371 was nice and level and across the street from the beautiful pool. - Monaco Man
Aug 2018 - $90.00
Roads are a bit tight in places, but an escort assists you to your site so it is very helpful. Pool area is wonderful and a cute snack bar is provided. Excellent place to stay. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Located near a lot of restaurants and attractions. Very nice property. - SCYurkins

Dec 2018 - $49.00
The park was beautiful, quiet, and spacious. Hiking trails were easy and offer nice scenery. There is a Publix and BP 5 mins from the park entrance. Downtown Savannah is just a 30-min drive, and Tybee Island is a 45-min drive. Restrooms and showers are clean, very warm inside the facilities too, which was much appreciated in the winter. Our campsite had full hookup including sewer which made things so much easier too! - Estella
Dec 2018 - $45.00
Scenic state park, just what you'd imagine in the south. Magnificent oak trees dripping with spanish moss, pines, thick foliage. Very clean. Beautiful walking trails. Our fhu pull thru site was roomy and easy to maneuver. Tho the park has cable TV we chose to park our rig so that we'd have satellite reception. This meant our sewer connection was not accessible. Not the park's fault, our choice. Wifi at office/camp store. Short drive to Savannah, Publix near park entrance. Large capacity washers and dryers $1.25. Clean bathrooms and showers. Would absolutely stay again. - lovinretirement
Nov 2018 - $36.00
Very nice park, pretty dark with bad weather in winter because of all the trees. but they look beautiful with all the Spanish moss. cable tv, but not very good, at least on our site. they even blow away the pine needles from your site after you leave! T-Mobile works but weak signal. we didn't get a site with sewer but we had 50amp. great to visit savannah and area. we would stay there again. - swissman

We stayed here for 5 weeks, and I must say this park was wonderful. Simple, clean, quiet, and convienent. We bring our 5th wheel when we work in the Savannah area, and this is the 4th campground we have stayed in. We will never stay anywhere else. We were 10-15 min from downtown Savannah, and 20-30 min from Hilton Head. I felt safe because it was a gated community and everyone was very friendly. They provide cable and WIFI. The office lady was ALWAYS a phone call away, and honestly at the campground most of the time. We were sad to leave Bellinger Hill/ Len Thomas, and are already looking forward to wording there again. - -G-
Sep 2016 - $11.00
(This was a monthly stay so I just divided by 30) was 350 per month and this included the WI-FI, cable, water and garbage. Electric ran about 15.00 per month. Propane was delivered. Extra secure as it had a gated community. Also had a clean laundry room with good machines (not expensive), ice and soda machine. 15 minutes to Savannah and 20ish to Hilton Head. Definitely would recommend and we will stay there again. They also had rental units and cabins available, we rented the cabin last year and it was great. Quiet, friendly neighbors and pet friendly. Also near to a wildlife preserve. - EACreech

Immaculate grounds, very nice sites that are landscaped. Concrete pads which keeps everything cleaner. There was a tennis court in the back of our space (190) which we used to play pickleball with our own temporary net and sidewalk chalk. Everything was well kept. Cable was excellent with lots of channels while WiFi being not very good. Very quiet as it is away from the highway, no planes or trains. This is a true RV resort. Traffic in Hilton Head Island is terrible (even in the off season). There is a left turn into town from the park that is dangerous as there are so many cars on highway 278. Have patience! - Beggco
Oct 2018 - $74.00
Late check in but mgmt. left check in packet with instructions for us, very professional and easy to follow . lots of ppl own their own rv spots so many rv's unoccupied but all clean and well kept up. lots of shade and very level good wifi , cable etc. - Usaerrb19
Jul 2018 - $69.00
A little more than we would usually spend on a campground, but was very nice. We didn't have a chance to kayak, but could have. Very quiet. It was nice to be able to go pick your site using a golf cart. - Uthagan

One night stay. Take Exit 8 from the north or the south to save time. Quiet campground with roomy sites. Not a destination place unless you want to use it to explore Savannah. No one in registration when we arrived so we had to call a few times. It was easy in and easy out which is what we wanted. Would stay here in our fifth wheel again. - TailsAwagging

Nice Park, big spaces
Easy drive to Savannah
Stayed here three days while we toured the area.
Good value, courteous staff. - happyflyer
Jun 2016 - $30.00
Needed a one night while heading north from FL. This was farther out of the way than anticipated. For some reason, the website gave definite instructions for those coming from the south on I-95 to get on I-16. Those coming from the north could exit I-95 and proceed to the CG. It seemed a bit out of the way. It was closer to re-enter 95 as you don't have to retrace your path. However, it is not a hop off and on location, but is doable. Check in was friendly and efficient. fyi-check or cash only. Our site was a spacious pull-thru, was gravel, and was very level. There is a dog park and plenty of areas to walk the dog. There is some road noise from Hwy 315. The cable channels were all local-not many, and the WIFI worked well during the day and later at night. It slowed quite a bit during the evening and earlier night hours. We would stay here again if in the area. - Gayle E.

Feb 2012 - $1.00
We had planned on staying here however when we arrived we found it looked nothing like the pictures on their web site. Many old RV's that had not been taken care of, and the general appearance was that of a dump. The lady we talked to said they took cash, no credit cards; however nothing was mentioned on the web site, nor was I told that when I made the reservation. Also was under the impression that they had cable TV, but they did not. We did not stay here and am very glad we didn't, as we found a beautiful RV park in Hardeeville, SC. - gpafrog
Mar 2011 - $23.00
The staff here is extremely friendly and accommodating. It is very quiet. We had 50 amp but don't know if all sites have it, since this is an older campground, with some permanent residents. We didn't use the laundry house or bathrooms. We would definitely come back, as the price is right and the staff is wonderful. - Snowbirds2
Nov 2010 - $28.00
If you want to enjoy the Hilton Head area and not spend all your money on the RV park rent then this is the place for you. Its low key, nice and quiet, no frills. Kids welcomed too. Lots of space to roam, swimming pool and even free WI-FI are available during your stay. Older but Very clean restrooms and the NEW OWNERS are exceptionally nice making available each and every camper to have a good stay. - WVrvers

Jan 2019 - $45.00
We enjoyed this park (but I acknowledge that could be biased based on the fact that we de-winterized here and so that first shower was awesome!) The pros: Wide sites, close to shopping and Savannah/Hilton Head, nice gravel roads for walking (approx 1.3 miles once around), beautiful horses and cute goats, nice saltwater pool - not that we were brave enough in January - and a large and very well equippd "clubhouse". The cons: nearby trains may disturb your sleep during the night (they were not nearly as disruptive as our cat!), occasional military helicopter flyovers (but our son is a pilot so we are used to always looking up, LOL). We would definitely return here on our way to or from Florida. - BryanNH
Jan 2019 - $49.00
Traveling full-time in a 38-foot coach we stayed 3-nights in a site for big rigs (site #10 - Pd $49/night) This was our first visit here. We've stayed in over 400 RV Parks and as far as WIFI goes, this RV park places in the Top Ten! We give this park 5-Stars for the fantastic WIFI! Our AT&T phones worked great here too. This park is a small well-maintained family owned park. The owners are very friendly and fantastic hosts. Big coaches need a gravel pad, so we also give this RV Park a 5-star rating for the thick gravel pad. Some RV Parks also have very narrow roads which make backing up very difficult, we found this park to have plenty of room to maneuver our coach. Some RV Parks are so dusty that one has to clean their coach after a stay, but not here, the dust on our coach was very minimal compared to many other parks. Our satellite did receive reception. There's plenty of places to walk your dog here. The bad...the road coming into the park has some fairly big potholes. This is a nice place to stay and we recommend it! - JDC10
Dec 2018 - $75.00
Most RVs are parked around a central field. There are nice hiking trails, with farm animals to visit and fishing on site. A great location, just a short drive to downtown Savannah. - Miles and Smiles

This park was a perfect 2-day stop for us to tour Savannah. The camp site host was very accommodating. The site was clean and the hookups worked great. The park is located within in a 2-minute walking distance from a nice large mall and within a 5-minute walking distance from a Walmart. Considering the location and the extra peace of being in a gated community (on a military base), this is a good value. We would certainly return to this park. - Gweninthewind
Apr 2018 - $25.00
This park could be a nice park, but it seems to have no one keeping up with it. They were closed Tuesday and Wednesday so we arrived Tuesday with no one to tell us anything and no warning for that to happen. We never did receive the WiFi password. Our site was also covered in broken glass and ant piles and they hadn't mowed in a long time. The area was so nice that if they just managed it, it'd be amazing. The sites are spacious and with the trees it could be beautiful. It's very close to everything too. - Twintravelers
Mar 2018 - $20.00
This park is a great place to stay while visiting Savannah if you don't need any additional accommodations, restrooms, showers, playground, etc. It was not well maintained, but a great place to park our trailer. - ranic59
