Overall Rating:

This is a very pretty private park along the water. Tent campsites look lovely! Unfortunately for those of us staying in a camper van, not so much. All vehicles including camper vans park in the same bark-covered parking lot, so there is absolutely no privacy nor anything to recommend camping here except for the lovely bathrooms, showers, and beach to the east nearer to the highway (sandy vs. rocky) which is very nice to snorkel. They did assign us a tent campsite as well with picnic table, which was a nice gesture, but overall the best things about this campground are the bath facilities. We camped at Camp Olowalu in a Truck Camper.

Overall Rating:

I camped here in a rented Dodge Caravan, it was my 50th state to visit and RV camp in. RV camping is in a level parking lot, no hookups. There are hot showers and bathrooms nearby. There are tentalows and tent sites for rent. It is right on the beach. The landscaping is beautiful and the view of the mountains across the road is very scenic. The price of $20 is per person, not per unit. We camped at Camp Olowalu in a Truck Camper.

Tips for other Campers:

I toured the sugar museum, took the winding 30 mile road to Hana where I went into the Hana Lava Tube cave. Also took another scenic drive on a very narrow and windy road north of Lahaina. Drove to the ‎Haleakalā National Park. It was 35 degrees the night before at the 10,023 ft summit.
