8 RV Parks near Clarkia, Idaho
Aug 2015 - $6.00
Very dense forest of pine trees and cedar trees. This little campground has 18 sites, 3 pit toilets, and one water pump for drinking water. The campground has one site that is a pull-through. All others are back in sites. The trees in the campground are right to the edge of the pavement so many of the sites may look long enough for a trailer but are a challenge to actually get into because of the trees. I have a 37' RV and there were probably 4-5 sites I could get in. Lucky for me I got the only pull-through site. I watched one fifth wheel about my size try to get into a site but couldn't because of the trees (site was plenty long for him). He ended up finding plenty of room in site 1. Most trailers there were under 30'.
Very remote, very quiet, very dark at night. Beautiful area. - kohai
Sep 2010 - $15.00
Nice, small Forest Service campground. Lots of hiking and ATV trails around. Beautiful forested area. Water available in town (1 mile) or from spigot in picnic area. Back country grass airstrip can be noisy. - Jeff J

This park is located near Helmer, about 40 miles East of Moscow. It is a very peaceful getaway. There is no internet reception. Sites are located far enough from each other that you won't have people looking in from other sites. If you enjoy boondocking, and want some peace and quiet this is ideal. Campsites have picnic tables and fire pits. I choose one of the sites that had a free stack of cut firewood. Additional firewood can be gathered in the woods. There are regular patrols by the campground host, and sheriff. The campground is spotless, and restrooms clean, and well stocked with paper. In addition to the 17 sites there is an overflow area by the picnic ground. The park is open from Spring to Fall. I camped in October and the water had been shut off for the season. There are tall trees, and a loop hiking trail along the old railway bed, and a river. There is a safe place where campers were target shooting. - Traveling man

Beautiful location and Great service! But beware, the mosquitos are terrible and the extra fee for children adds up. - Md_208

We stayed at Pines RV in Harvard Idaho for 8 days and we loved the location. The valley was beautiful. The park is nestled in the pines with beautiful meadows. There is a little store for convenience items. We loved getting an ice cream in the afternoons.
The owners live on site and we're super helpful getting us settled in. I appreciated the advice they shared about exploring the area. We went to the forest service operated garnet mine they recommended and came home with a small bag of garnets after a morning of working the dirt thru a flume. So much fun! I think one of my favorite things about the park were the nesting swallows. We will definitely be back! - Denise criss

Used as base camp for hunting. Gave excellent access to many hunting spots. Friendly owners who go out of their way to please guests. Will definitely stay again. - Basser
