Always a nice place to stay. Great for a big rig, with plenty of room to navigate, FHUs in the right location. Reasonably close to the interstate. It is all good. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

Beautiful park with great beach and water view if you pay $10 extra. The only negative were the employees. They felt a little like nosy neighbors keeping a close eye on your actions and making sure you know right away if you misstep. Other than that it was great and would definitely return. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

There's really noting special about this RV park, other than you can walk along the shore if you want. But it's really just a BIG parking lot with lots of RVs. The location to old town Coeur D' Alene is great and also easy access to other sites/destinations. So that's the good. The not-so-good is that management runs it like a mill.....no personal interaction, all business and all about the rules. The wifi is non-existent unless you end up at the far end of the park near the only wifi transmitter. Laundry was very expensive. The grass was worn out and the gravel turned to mud. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is our second time here. It’s clean and the staff are nice. The gentleman escorted us to our site. Right on the river and you can rent kayaks and canoes. They have a nice dog run but I recommend they put some lighting out there. Very dark. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

Second say there. Was there 5 years ago and the place is still in great shape today. Friendly staff and very helpful. Traveling with a group of 5 rigs and they accommodated us just fine, keeping us all together. Used the smaller rally room in back and that was perfect for our group. A bigger rally room is in front of the park. Excellent laundry facilities. WIFI was as good as expected. Spacious sites. Will be back for a third time hopefully We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Set your rig to the back of your pull thru. Leaves lots of room for your tow car in front. Seems sewer is set back too. Lots to do. Eat at Texas Roadhouse if you love a good steak! Play CDA Golf resort. First class operation. Caddy required and you play the only floating green in the world. Caddy was very helpful and the course is challenging and the views are stunning.

We have stayed here before and we would stay again. Our site was clean and manicured and perfectly level. We didn't need our jacks. It's a beautiful park on Lake CDA with a beach and amenities like kayaks. The staff at the park are all super-friendly. The bathrooms and laundry room are immaculate. We weren't allowed to use our patio mat on their grass. If we had a complaint, it was that our site was a pull-in right on the entry road (Marina Drive) and loud traffic passed by day and night, speeding cars and loud diesel RVs. We would ask for a site away from the road, next time. The sites on the circle near the beach are the nicest but they were all occupied when we were there. Spotty WiFi and poor quality cable reception. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The Lake CDA Cruise is really fun. There's a 1 1/2 hour tour and a 6 hour tour. Next time we'll do the 6 hour one. The Floating Green Restaurant at the Golf Resort is awful. Don't go there.

This park has a great location to experience all that CDA has to offer. The park is located right at the mouth of the Spokane River that acts as the outlet for the lake. They have a beach area and boat docks that give direct access to the lake. The majority of the sites in the park were pull through with back in sites arranged around the edges of the park. The sites are gravel and each has a picnic table with a small grass area. There are a few trees scattered around the park, but most sites will still have satellite reception. The bathrooms and showers were clean and the wifi worked. See our pictures and reviews at thegilliamsisland. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

Some traffic noise from nearby highway, but not horrible. Staff is very efficient and easy to work with. Sites are gravel but well maintained. Clean and newer laundry, bit of a hike from most sites. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This place is OK, not good or great. It is a wide open space, little or no shade, and the spaces are very close together. There are none of what I would call good spaces in this park, and it is very pricey. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

There are no good RV parks in the immediate Coeur d'Alene area. This is probably as good as it gets, but it's not great. If we had to be in CDA for some reason we might return to this place. But I think a nearby state park or one of the casinos is a better place to be, at a more reasonable rate.

Very nice park on the island with the Spokane River flowing by and Lake Coeur d'Alene in view. The owners do their best to make your stay enjoyable. They have pontoon boats and kayaks for rent. There are plenty of restrooms to use. One reviewer complained there is not enough, but only self contained rigs are permitted so you should have your own bathroom anyway. Nice level spacious gravel sites with full hookups including cable tv. So much to see and do in the area. Reservations are taken up to two years in advance so book early as they stay full. Office staff is awesome and the outside crew works hard to keep things nice. I would return in a heartbeat. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

Not much here unless you want to spend time at the beach. The park was overpriced and the Wifi worked sometimes during mid-day but was unusable otherwise. The sprinklers sprayed the side of our motorhome every night, leaving water spots up to 3 feet high. We will stay out in the countryside next time. Easy navigation through the park and close to the water. There is a fenced in dog park which stunk. Lots of poop in the grassy areas close to the water which might be from ducks? There was a nice enclosed meditation area and there are BMX trails. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

Blackwell Island RV Resort is one of the most beautiful and well-maintained parks we've seen! There are large open lawns to play on, large trees, volleyball court, hiking trail (don't forget bug spray!), dog/pet run, BMX Bike Track, and best of all a beach (with pet swimming area) on the Spokane River just off Lake Coeur d'Alene. On the beach they have hard-plastic beach chairs if you need them. Our space was very nice with an old wooden picnic table... which worked fine. A pine tree separated us from our neighbor. There were trees throughout the park. 24 hour Restrooms with showers were clean and private. Laundry room with ten washers and ten dryers was very clean. Our site was gravel, long enough for our 42' fifth-wheel, but we had to park our dually about a half block away in a parking area. Grass was on both sides of our gravel site, but there is no parking on the grass because of sprinklers. $60. was a bit steep, but we enjoyed the beach for the 4th of July weekend with grandkids. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Located on an island, a very well maintained RV park. Extremely crowded because of the summer. We paid extra for a premium site, supposedly on the water, but when pulled up to it, my wife said "this is a premium site?" It really looked quite ordinary and the water, barely visible through the trees, was some distance away. Lots of motorboat noise as you can imagine, until the sun went down. We had a grassy area next to the motorhome and campers would walk their dogs non-stop to let their pets go to the bathroom on the grass, also, a number of campers, to access the water, would just walk right through your area. We stayed one night. For the premium site, you also have to detach as you can only pull in and back out. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.
