There are 3 Priest Lake State Park campgrounds, this review is for the Indian Creek Unit. We were there starting one week after Labor Day and the campground was maybe only 10% occupied. An exception is the 11 full hook-up sites, which were probably at capacity. Nice forested area, many hiking trails. The trail to the vista point was worth the climb! There is a nice beach area, and one part is okay for dogs. There is a boat ramp with parking and two boat docks. The sites are stacked pretty close to one another, and if full or close to full, there would be neighbors very close to you. There is a dump station, free to campers. We had 1 bar Verizon signal, but zero AT&T signal. We camped at Priest Lake State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

The setting here is quite nice with lots of space; however, they do allow OHV in the park and quite a few were just joyriding around the loop. Lots to do in the park and the surrounding area with hiking and sightseeing. The sites are dirt and gravel, but well laid out with plenty of room. There was a picnic table and fire ring. We were in Loop A and didn't have cell service, but we could get service by walking down towards the lake. The camp store has some necessities, but their big business is ice cream with a steady stream of customers. The camp hosts were very friendly and we enjoyed talking to them and sharing travel experiences as well as things to do in the area. We camped at Priest Lake State Park in a Travel Trailer.

This campground is awesome! Sites come in a range of sizes for small tents or tent campers all the way up to large motorhomes. You can choose from wooded sites to others that are more open with views of Priest Lake. There is a nice camp store which also serves ice cream, including the areas favorite, Huckleberry! Bathrooms are clean and there are individual showers available in some of the bath-houses. The beach is large and there is a dock as well as a boat launch. Perfect campground for a short or long vacation! We camped at Priest Lake State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Indian Creek is a gem of a campground located on the east side of beautiful Priest Lake in northern Idaho (about an hours drive north of Priest River). It's a classic lake campground with wonderful shaded sites for both tents and RV's and only a short walk to a large beach complete with roped-off swimming area, docks, and a boat launch. There is also a park store which has groceries, camping essentials, fresh-scooped ice cream, and gifts. Hiking and mountain-bike trails are also available. Perfect location to just come and relax! We camped in the partial hook-up area and some sites are small while others are large. This campground does take reservations and fills up quickly, but if you plan ahead you can reserve a site that should work best for your family. Can't wait to return! We camped at Priest Lake State Park in a Travel Trailer.
