Small park at the back of a gas station and convenience store. The store has most of what you might need in the short term. The sites gravel/stone and range from a bit tight to average in size. There is some road noise but it is not a problem. The ladies working in the store were pleasant. There is a small laundry room that has 2 washers and dryers and is clean and everything is in working order. This is the second year we have stayed at Buck's. Last year we were in a 50 amp site. Those sites are a bit larger and we had no issues. This year we took a 30 amp site and it is a bit smaller. We have run successfully on 30 amps at many campgrounds and can run our 2 smaller air conditioners, refrigerator, water heater, etc in 85 degree weather without problems. Usually the water heater and air conditioners don't have full draw at the same time. However, Buck's 30 amp circuits were not able to allow us to run one air conditioner and our refrigerator reliably. The park breaker did not trip but at less than 20 amps the voltage sagged below 104VAC and our surge protector cut the circuit to protect our motor home. Dometic air conditioners are only rated to run at 103 volts on the low end. I spoke to the store clerks about the issue and the owner apparently said that people think they can camp on 30 amps but can't. The owner never talked to us about the issue and didn't investigate further. I don't know if we will stay at Buck's again but if we do it will be in a 50 amp site. We camped at Buck's Gas and RV park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Jackson, WY is a little over an hour drive. Grand Teton National Park is about 25 minutes more. The drive to Jackson is very pretty, it follows beside the Snake River on US89. The drive to Victor and Driggs is also pretty and those towns have a few restaurants, shops and coffee shops. The area south of Palisades dam on US26 is pretty and has several large Osprey nests with chicks this time of year. They are visible from turnouts on the road.

We arrived to learn that they had booked us with one less night than we had requested. It was subsequently corrected, thankfully. Around 6PM the first evening, the 50 amp circuit blew. They blamed it on either 1) I was running two A/Cs or 2)something went wrong in my coach. I reported that I had reset the power switch going to the Surge Guard but the circuit never made it through to my coach (recall that Surge Guard does not release the circuit through to the coach until after it has checked for problems over a period of more than two minutes-it never released power to my coach from the 50 amp circuit). I reported to them that there appeared to be circuit problems but they replied that they doubted they could get an electrician to check the electric box until the next morning. My choices: reset again or leave with a refund (now it's close to 7PM). His judgement of what was wrong was, apparently, colored by his experience once that "a rig running both A/Cs burned up his power post". My requests for help simply elicited mockery and sneering. I did not dare reset and use the 50 amp circuit that night. When we returned the following day, after spending most of the day at Teton National Park and leaving the rig without power for the day, we were told that the circuits checked out on his tests. We chose to plug into the 30 amp circuit to run one A/C, fearing the worst if we chose the 50 amp circuit. On our departure day, we were unable to replenish fresh water since the water pump had broken down. He was busy stringing hoses across the yard as we departed. Finally, you should know that the only shower will cost you $6 per person and that they provide three Port-a-Potties for your comfort station - no restrooms. The WiFi was good and the gravel site was level. Hence the allowance on points. I would not expect that we'd return here ever again. We camped at Buck's Gas and RV park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There is an excellent ice cream shop about 7 miles away... highly recommended (and very popular). We also (later) spotted an inexpensive campground, first-come-first-served, with electricity and vault toilets, pull-through sites, 2 miles away. Buck's site required us to park the car sideways behind the motor home. Signage for check-in was absent, making entrance incorrect and subject to low branches and large rock obstacles.

Great Park! The owner was terrific. The sites were very nice and the views were magnificent! Small laundry room on site. The gas station has great diesel prices, and the convenience store has just about everything - especially since other grocery stores were miles away. Very peaceful park with fishing close by. Drive into Jackson was very scenic - allow a little over an hour for the drive. We camped at Buck's Gas and RV park in a Travel Trailer.

An unusual little park behind a gas station/variety store. Very beautiful location and nice trees and grass. Pull through with 30 amp, sewer and water. No Oti channels, but easy to get DIRECTV. Quiet and peaceful and clean. We would definitely stay there again if in the area. We camped at Buck's Gas and RV park in a Fifth Wheel.

Previous reviewers were right. What a jewel! Just stayed at a park for twice the price with half the personality! Owner was terrific. Wasn't sure he'd have a 50 amp available, but would try. Called us the nite before we were to arrive to let us know we had a 50 amp site! Campground behind his gas station that sells cold beer, milk, wine, etc. Our pull thru faces a mountain range. Good gravel lot with a bit of shade. Will definitely come back. we were in a 40' MH. Check in at the gas station. Gals there did not give us very good directions to our site. Ended up having to unhook because we went down a wrong way.....so make sure you understand. No signage other than on the power peds.

Entrance to pull thru sites needs to be marked or explained better. Other than that, GREAT. Nice covered commons area with picnic table, fire pits, open grill, swing and picnic tables. Lovely little place. We camped at Buck's Gas and RV park in a Motorhome.

This park won't be for everyone. No pool, no showers, but it looks like they are adding them. It is behind a convenience store/ gas station. But there are a lot of positives. Great views. Almost every site is a pull thru. FHU. Good wifi. Level, spacious gravel sites. Lots of shade. Sign in at the convenience/ grocery store. Super park for and overnight. We camped at Buck's Gas and RV park in a Travel Trailer.
