We had full hook hookups and a pull through. The park is about 13 miles from the West Yellowstone Entrance. There is a huge washerteria here that probably services a lot of the area around. Sites were easy to get in and out of. Plenty of room. We used Passport America for 2 nights so for 4 nights we paid $200. We camped at Valley View RV Park in a Motorhome.

Stayed here for 11 nights. Thirteen miles to the W Entrance of Yellowstone. Sites are mostly gravel and dirt, easy to level. The staff is 200%. Very helpful. The only thing that needs attention is the wifi. Just no signal strong enough to just read email unless you want to wait 5-6 minutes for the inbox to appear, and then 5-6 minutes for each page. Forget it if there is an attachment. We were forced to use our phone as a Verizon hot spot, and that was better, but barely because the signal was also weak. Satellite service was perfect. We camped at Valley View RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Stayed here for 7 days while touring Yellowstone NP in a 32 foot class C with a Rubicon toad. The staff and everyone attached to the staff was wonderful. The laundry facility was clean and pleasant to use. The reason for the "4" rating is the problem they are having and seem to not be able to fix is the internet connect which rarely worked and was impossible to use. They gave it a lot of verbal attention but never really fixed it. Also, the bathrooms (Mens) are dated and need to be updated. The fiberglass shower stalls are cracked and chipped in many places and need to be replaced along with the block walls that are cracked and need to be caulked. If it rains you will have any ample supply of mud on the roads as the gravel sites and roads need some "TLC". At $60 a night I expect thing to work...This RV park is dated at best and needs updating to justify $60/night. The Staff was excellent. I would not stay here again if something else is available. We camped at Valley View RV Park in a Motorhome.

RV Office and huge laundromat in one room with adjacent large Rec Room. Quite a nice social gathering space. Very friendly, helpful staff. Pass Port America discount is NOT available June 15 through July 31. Located on US 20; traffic was not a deterrent to sleeping at night. All sites are pull-thru. Awoke to 3" snow, temp 31 on 6/9/19, only 1" and 32 on 6/10. Got to make & throw snowballs! Sites H 1-12 are sloping back to front; may require leveling blocks. RV Park is 14 miles from West Entrance to Yellowstone Natl Park. This short 20 min drive wasn't an inconvenience. We camped at Valley View RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We stayed in this RV park for a few nights while visiting Yellowstone. The weather was rainy and snowy so we didn't spend much time outside in the park. The park was clean, quiet and surprisingly, not a muddy mess. The wifi was great for browsing and email. We used the laundry and showers and they were very clean. There's a dog area but it's not fenced in yet, so no off leash. The site we were in was hard and almost level. Everyone was nice, friendly and helpful. We would stay there again if ever back in the area. We camped at Valley View RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

I agree with other users that this RV park is a bit over priced, however we were impressed with the RV park. We stayed for 8 days. You should know ahead of time that the tables provided in the sites are strong plastic tables so if you intend to use a tabletop BBQ, you need to bring your own fire-resistant table. It was clean, quiet, conveniently located, and the sites are spaced well. Many other campgrounds we saw while in the area had the sites very crowded together and were aged and not very clean or appealing. The water quality was very good and without any water pressure problems. The Valley View staff were very friendly and helpful. A very nice group of people. They were eager to help make our visit as pleasing as possible. They had a lot of tourist information available for their guests. They also allowed you privacy while camped there. They made sure you knew they were there to help you, but they did not make you feel like they were spying on you or like they were policing your use of their sites. They even had a laundry mat available. We enjoyed our stay there. My ONLY complaint was that the dog people were rather lax regarding picking up after their dogs. You did have to watch your step when walking down roads and if you were anywhere near the pet area. There was no poo in our actual campsite---that was very well maintained. The highways were well maintained. Very good high quality water in this area. Make sure you have your camera well charged up. You will want to take a lot of pictures. Take your telescope if you like to gaze at the stars. Not a lot of ambient lighting to obscure your viewing sessions. We camped at Valley View RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This basic park is 14 miles from West Yellowstone, about a 20 minute drive. Sites are long and gravel. Space between sites is wider then other parks and grass. Interior roads are gravel and narrow so it was a chore to get in and out. Electric and water were good but wifi was so-so and dropped a lot. No other amenities but lots of rules for a park that needs work. People were very friendly and helpful which was a plus. Normal rate is $60, cash or check only. We got the Passport America half price rate but they tack on a $5 fee for utilities. The normal rate is too much for this park. We camped at Valley View RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

This 'no frills' park located on Highway 20 provides the basics and a short 14-mile drive to the west entrance to Yellowstone. The daily $60/night is overpriced for what they offer, and they do not accept Passport America rate through July. We stayed here in August at a reasonable monthly rate. The RV sites are pull-through gravel/dirt sites with grass in-between with sufficient space between sites and each site has a picnic table. Cedar trees but no shade trees. The utility connections are conveniently located. The sites on the south side of the main gravel drive all appear to be level, but the sites on the north side in the back row are not, but could easily be leveled with the addition of a little gravel on the front end. The park staff members in the office are friendly and helpful, but we did witness two very heated altercations between outside staff members and different guests on two separate occasions. The park itself needs a lot of low-cost aesthetic improvements which we were told by staff members the elderly owners are choosing not to make. The areas behind the main building, miscellaneous landscaping equipment, a couple of junky looking road graders and a few dilapidated small buildings which are not used are all in the open. The 50-amp electric was reliable. This park is in a valley situated between 2 mountains and the wind is very gusty at times. There is a large 'Rec Room' which is nice but the main doors at the front of the building were always locked. A staff member told us this room gets very little use because it is not very visible nor advertised to RVers upon arrival. The 'Exercise Equipment' advertised on the park's web page was never set up per a staff member. All in all, not a bad park but there are several other RV Park options between here and the West Yellowstone Park entrance. With a little TLC this could be a great park. We camped at Valley View RV Park in a Motorhome.

The views of the surrounding mountains is breathtaking! Even though it is about 15 miles from the entrance to Yellowstone, it really isn't inconvenient. The utilities worked fine. All that being said, the ambiance of this park is sorely lacking. As we were being led in to our site on the back row, the fellow in the golf cart took us behind the building and in front of the front row of RVs. There was all sorts of yard equipment and what-not scattered behind the building that made it look very junky. As we got to the road at the very rear of the park, there was property behind the park (not hidden in any way) that was junked up and very unsightly. In consideration of the surrounding beauty the unkempt atmosphere was an unpleasant surprise. The sites are all pull through but, in our section, they were straight on instead of slanted. Hard to get in to because they aren't very long and almost impossible to get out of. The internal roads are too small to allow for the wide swing to avoid posts, trees, other RVs, etc. We had to back our RV on to the road behind us at a 90 degree angle to get out. $60 is a ridiculous amount to charge for this park, but they can get it because of their proximity to Yellowstone. We won't be back. We camped at Valley View RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Valley View is located about 20 miles west of the west entrance of Yellowstone in Island Park, Idaho. It is in a scenic location overlooking a far lake and surrounded by mountains. The campgrounds are next to Highway 20 and there is some road noise, especially if you are in one of the front rows. In the back, not so much. The front office staff are very nice and helpful. The sites are dirt/gravel for the RV and grass on the side of the RV. Plenty of room between the spaces. Walking through grass into the RV seems to help with keeping the dirt out. It also is a pleasant area to cook, eat, and just sit. Sites are long enough to park a motorhome and toad. Water and power work just fine. The wifi is sometimes up, sometimes down and not real strong when up. Our dump connection was too high so that it was uphill from the coach. I would stay at Valley View again. Their website claims level pull-thru sites. We were put on site G9 behind the gas station. Never got level. We spent 4 nights with the front of our motorhome downhill. Laundromat hours not convenient for someone planning to visit Yellowstone. Opens at 8:00 and last load must be started by 5:30. Laundry prices were reasonable. Wifi not great.
