The host was wonderful and very helpful, unfortunately the park does not easily accommodate large RV's and sharing the lawn space is not a great feature. While the women's facilities were clean and spacious, the men's were not as clean and too small. Fortunately the park was not crowded so our stay was fine, but it could use a little work. We camped at The Meadows RV Park in a Motorhome.

Delightful park - nothing fancy but considering Ketchum and Hailey are close by, what else do you need? The sites were rather tight, but we easily fit our 45' rig. The camp host was outstanding - both in email and texting us a park map the day we checked in. We got her text well before we arrived, and her directions were very helpful. Water and power were adequate - I would use a pressure regulator here - in fact we used it in all the parks we visited just to be safe. Would definitely stay here again next time we visit Sun Valley! We camped at The Meadows RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

With no other RV park options in the Sun Valley area, this park is where you will likely end up. The good point is the great location just off US 75 right outside of Ketchum. The highway is maybe two hundred yards away, but there is very little traffic noise. The park has direct access to the bike trail that runs along the river and connects Ketchum, Sun Valley and Elkhorn. Checkin was great as the office texted us our confirmation, map and site location the morning of our arrival. We did not go to the office at all during our stay. The sites, however, are very narrow and you are extremely close to your neighbors. The center section is pull through sites that are asphalt with a grass area and picnic table. There is no opportunity to use the table if you are in a full size RV next to another full size RV. The park has no WiFi. We camped at The Meadows RV Park in a Motorhome.

The thing we loved about this campground was the location. It is close to Sun Valley and right behind the campground is the Wood River Trail. We loved walking our dog on the trail and we rode our bikes all over - down to Hailey, into Ketchum and up to Elkhorn. The campground is simple and the sites are tight. Two RVs share the same utilities so you are back to back with one RV and face to face with another. We ended up in a site where someone was always back to back with us but no one booked the site across from us so we felt like we had plenty of room. If the campground is full, it will feel tight. And if you are traveling with someone, it will be nice to share a buddy site together. Our site had a tree and some shade so that was nice. There is grass between each site. The woman running the park is really nice and she is always running around taking care of things - hanging plants, watering grass, checking people in, etc. She is doing a great job! The bathrooms are super clean and smell great. The showers were good and hot. The laundry room is down the road near the permanent trailer section and it was clean. We were disappointed in the internet - we couldn't get it to work for the most part. We hot spotted with our ATT and Verizon phones. We camped at The Meadows RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

No amenities but Ketchum and Hailey are close by and they have it all. Narrow sites but the park was not very populated and the host spaces rigs out when she can. Highway is close but not busy after dark. This park may be the only option nearby but we would stay here again=. Beware though, the water PSI is high. I had to install my regulator to get it under 50 PSI. Water is otherwise good. We camped at The Meadows RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a nice park close to Ketchum and Sun Valley. It's far enough off the main road that noise isn't a problem. AT&T cell service and park WiFi were both quite good. They don't recycle here, which is annoying. It's only 10 minutes from town. They're sticklers for the rules here, but that's not unreasonable. There are no fire pits. It can be cold here, even in summer. There seemed to be no permanent residents, and the other patrons were very friendly. We camped at The Meadows RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Camp host was rude and mean. No check-in after 8pm. Arrived at 8:20 and was only allowed to check-in after being berated by the camp host. I don't like the way they can't put a paper up with your name and site# like ever other RV park in the country does. The sites are very tight/ small with shared picnic tables Would NEVER stay here again. We camped at The Meadows RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

If you can get over the inflexible check-in and check-out policy and the very tight parking (about 20 ft between RVs), this park offers great access to Sun Valley. The amenities of Sun Valley are connected by a bike path that runs right by The Meadows: downtown, river access, base camp for mountain biking, botanical gardens,... even the hospital. Our family of 6 (2 adults, 4 kids) didn't notice that there wasn't cable, antenna service, a pool, or large campsites because we were never there. We biked, swam, hiked, biked more, swam more, hiked more. We came home exhausted and fell asleep. Meadows offers comparatively convenient and inexpensive access to Sun Valley. Regarding the staff, we experienced the inflexibility of their check-in policy (no after-hours check in, ever) when, due to traffic, we couldn't arrive by 8PM. But upon arriving the next morning, we weren't charged for the night we missed and the lady at the booth was quite polite and friendly. We camped at The Meadows RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Bring bikes if you intend to use Meadows as your base camp for Sun Valley. Bring a bathing suit if you like to swim in shallow creeks and rivers. Bring bug-spray if you plan to spend time outside after dark. If you want to watch TV, grab some Red Box movies.

If you are going to explore Ketchum and Sun Valley then this is the place you should stay. Very easy in and out for big rigs. Water, hookups and Wi-Fi worked great. Just a three mile drive to Ketchum and the crazy traffic congestion. The park is very close to the bike trails and literature indicates you can ride over 90 miles. Very helpful and friendly staff. The sites are a little narrow and we had one where our door and our neighbors door faced each other. Not our first choice. We camped at The Meadows RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

What makes this RV park worth the stay is its close proximity to Ketchum/Sun Valley - just a mere few miles drive to get into town. There is also a very nice bike trail system just off the back of the park. The park itself is a bit old and the spaces, when full, are close together (your awnings would touch your neighbors if both extended). Manager very nice and accommodating. Our site was level, all services worked as expected with the exception of Wifi which was almost non-existent. Verizon cell service very strong. Enough room for our 42' coach in the space and we parked our Jeep across from the RV. The park is just off of the main highway, so there is constant road noise during the day which tapers off at night. There is grass and nice shade trees dotting the setting. Didn't think the park warranted the nightly price, as it was very basic, but it did suit our needs and it is the only game in town with full hook-ups. We camped at The Meadows RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Pack your bike and take a ride along the rail trail that goes into downtown Ketchum - and all the way to the Sun Valley Lodge. It's an easy and fun ride (mostly flat). If you're a Hemingway fan, there are a few spots in town to visit, like the cemetery, the Sun Valley Museum (small collection), the Hemingway Memorial just past the Lodge, the Lodge itself, and a few downtown haunts that still exist (under different names) that he frequented when he lived in the area.

If you have a big rig and want full hook-ups close to Sun Valley, this is it. We stayed late October when there was a handful of other campers so site space was not an issue for us. A herd of elk grazed through the campground each night - beautiful! Managers are super nice. We camped at The Meadows RV Park in a Motorhome.

We travel in the off season and found this campground to be just what we needed. There are few choices heading up to Sun Valley and this was much better than the other choice. Reviews complained about sharing a grass strip with your neighbor--the manager put clients on every other site until there are no options. With the great mountain biking around here, it is in the right spot! We camped at The Meadows RV Park in a Truck Camper.

Overall Rating:

This medium-sized RV park is about halfway between Ketchum and Hailey, ID, with all sites pull-through. Each site is asphalt with a narrow strip of grass around it. The hookups are fine but the sewer (in our case) was a bit hard to find among the roots of a tree. But that tree made our spot (#17) was the nicest one in the park, so, no complaints! The sites are quite close together, pull-throughs are alternating so there's only one picnic table for each two RVs, and the pedestal/water area is combined. The check-in was easy, navigating the park is as well, and all the office and other workers were efficient and pleasant. The bathrooms are small (1 stall/1 shower in the men's, 2 stalls/2 showers in the womens) but very clean, as was the laundry. The WiFi was very good except that the signal was a bit weak. Using our booster, it worked out great. Verizon was 2-3 bars, so not bad at all. Generally, this is a nice spot that, even though it's close to the highway, was pretty quiet, and it is convenient to Ketchum and Sun Valley. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area. We camped at The Meadows RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We were there in late August... there's a great bike trail that goes right near the RV park. We didn't mountain bike, but it's extremely popular in the area. We ate at (and loved) Powerhouse in Hailey, and at Galena Lodge (about 20 miles north of Ketchum) which was quite good, too. There a tiny but nice bookstore in Ketchum, and we visited Hemingway's grave site in the Ketchum cemetery, and a separate memorial site.
