Great place, from check in to the time we left. We liked the pool area with salt water pool and spa. Peaceful setting with deer wondering around and friendly staff to help with anything. Great laundry and showers. next time we'll spend more time a the park. We camped at McCall RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Second time here. Traveling with 5 rigs and they were very accommodating for us. We had 4 rigs in one quad which is nice as there is grass in the middle. Hookups were easy and good. Great indoor pool, spa, steam room, private showers. exercise area. Park is clean and well planned and organized. When we arrived with our 5 rigs, staff came and took us to our spots immediately as our wives checked us in. Definitely be back again and again. We camped at McCall RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Enjoy the amenities of this park. Good restaurants and some shopping in town. Scenic drives and the lake has lots to do. Explore the surrounding areas. Good golf course at McCall Golf club. 3 separate 9 hole course to play. Course is in the trees so its beautiful scenery. Saw several deer.

This is a true resort. Enclosed pool and jacuzzi. Staff were very nice. Very well maintained grounds. They have activites for everyone. I liked the fact that there weren't a lot of street lights shining in your window. Close enough to town but enough out of the congestion. Will stay longer next time We camped at McCall RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Just wrapped up a week at McCall RV Park. We enjoyed it - it is one of our favorites. We were in a pull-thru that was long enough to accommodate the 40' Raptor, the Ram DRW, and our trike. Paved roads, gravel site. Patio was too far toward the rear of the site to access from our front door/steps, but we made it work. Quiet park. Beautiful setting. Friendly and efficient staff. Clean facilities. Remarkably, everyone kept dogs on leash (a rare experience on this summer trip). Nice fenced dog run with grass. We were able to get satellite, but there are trees, so your experience may vary. Close to downtown McCall. Convenient to everything in the area. We camped at McCall RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Played golf at McCall Golf Club and Jug Mountain Golf Club - would recommend both. The park is right next to the McCall Airport which is home to one of the largest smokejumper bases in the lower 48. They have a little museum and offer tours, depending on how busy they are. For a great day trip, go to Warm Lake and have lunch at the North Shore Lodge.

Friendly, helpful, and hard-working staff. Super clean everywhere and well maintained. Roomy and level sites with trees, grass, bark, and concrete patio pads. Large lodge room, pool, and spa - all immaculately kept. Close proximity to bike trail, brewery, and golf. Large laundry room. Fenced "bark park" for pooches. We have been RV'ing fulltime for 4.5 years and this is one of the absolute best RV Resorts in the country. The sites are so generously spaced unlike so many other RV parks that like to pack you in like sardines. We loved having some space between us and the neighbors so we didn't feel so crowded. The pool and hot tub area are immaculate and we enjoyed that often. I LOVE that they don't charge extra for kids; that's one thing we really dislike about some RV parks when they charge extra to bring our kids along. This park does not do that and for that I'm so grateful! The staff is so friendly and helpful, and since I travel full time I appreciated them allowing me to have some packages and mail delivered there. The roads throughout the park are wide so it's very easy to back into your site. We had a site that backed up to the river and even had room to open the back patio! We couldn't see much of the river from our site because there were trees behind us, but it was still a beautiful site. Usually we don't rely on campground WiFi because it's not always very good, but this park's WiFi worked great, even better than our hotspots. Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile all worked okay, but since the campground's WiFi worked better we used that more often. There are some sites that are like buddy sites x 4, meaning 4 RVs all park in a square with a common area between them. That would be fun if you know the people in the other 3 RVs, but I would think it would be awkward if you don't know them. Just FYI, in case you are traveling with friends and would like that arrangement. I just can't say enough good things about this RV park, I wish all RV parks around the country would learn some things from this one. We camped at McCall RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice and well run park with easy access. It is right behind the (small) airport, so there is a little noise. But, we aren't talking 747's, just small privately owned aircraft. The sites are all 70' long gravel that are absolutely level and nicely spaced, so parking both our 5th wheel and truck were not a problem. I would say there is some shade, but not a lot. Each site had a concrete patio and picnic table. The fenced dog park is pretty nice. There are a few walking trails in the immediate area, and it does sit along the Payette River. Actual great for kids, with a playground and indoor pool. A little pricey, but a very nice stay. Will be back. We camped at McCall RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

We were visiting McCall for the first time and mainly were just checking out the town, the bike paths and boat rentals. This RV park is wonderful. Friendly staff, monitor the park well, quiet during our stay, very family friendly. We had our 7 yr old granddaughter with us and our dog. The park has rules and these are great for maintaining safety and neighborly atmosphere. The pool and spa were a bit crowded with kids, ours too, and at times it was a bit rowdy for our little girl. Evening hours reserved for adults though. If you read a review during our same time....very negative, ignore it, he had an inverter add on, and he acted like a child having a tantrum. Park workers bent over backward for him and he should apologize instead of leaving a completely false review. Great, clean, beautiful RV park, enjoy. We camped at McCall RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Farmers market is small and a nice place to grab fresh veggies, and lots of fresh meat types. Albertson's grocery has about everything. Rite Aid has the rest. Chuck at Sharlies Auto can help you out with minor things, right outside the park. Father's restaurant not so much. Pancake house rocks. The beach in June is not the best swimming, pollen piles up on the shoreline. Wallen road and adjacent bike trail is closed and under construction.

A bit unusual in that you must follow arrows painted on the road to find office located in the middle of the Park. There was grass lawn at site but no table, grill or fire ring. Staff responded quickly when I reported a leak at the supply valve. We camped at McCall RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Large queue area. Huge beautiful lodge but next to nothing in the store. Some souvenirs mostly. Beautiful individual private restrooms with huge marble showers and flagstone floors. Grounds are immaculate. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Sites 76-81 (78-79 the best) are in the lower area, pull in with full river/mountain view. The new phase where we stayed does not have river views. Sites are long and level but there is little grass. Only asphalt sites are those where 4 RVs share a common grass area and park like you're on the side of the road. Gym is 3 pieces of equipment poorly located in the pool area right by the entrance door. Utilities worked well. We camped at McCall RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We have stayed here multiple times. It is a very nice RV park. In the winter their water, power, dump at the site work quite well. However, the road in to the campsites has a steep hill which they plow but do not apply gravel. It is too steep to exit without chains or 4WD. The hill is shaded and tends to be solid hard ice for the season. Getting in is OK. We had to put on chains to leave (before spring). We camped at McCall RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

The sites here are spacious, and well laid out. They have large concrete patios, picnic tables, and the utilities are logically placed. The sites are laid out on an angle to the road so getting in and out is easy, but also provide a great view because of the position of your neighbor is 10-15' back from the front of your rig. One improvement I would have liked is if the sites were paved instead of gravel. The roads are paved and plenty wide. The part of the park we were in was just recently completed, so when we first got there, some of the construction fencing was still up, but they came and took it down a few days later. The pool and spa are fabulous, and I spent a few nights soaking in the spa after a day of hiking or kayaking. The pool and spa are indoor, but the front and back walls of the pool area are glass roll up doors. When the weather is nice like when we were there, the roll up doors are opened and bring the outside in. The spa is raised above the level of the pool, so it's a good place to soak and still keep an eye on the little ones. The restrooms are also in the building and are beautifully modern and handicapped accessible. There are also sauna's if you really need to work up a sweat. We paid about $48 a night for our site, and that was with tax. A tributary to Payette Lake runs in back of the campground, and a short walk takes you to the shore. I did need to set up a remote satellite dish here as 2 giant trees next to the site blocked reception from the roof top dish. Our on board Wifi worked great (T Mobile) but the campground wifi was said to be excellent. The only real "ding" I can put on the park is the layout of some of the sites. We had a pull in facing the river below, but many of the interior sites are laid out in "square" configuration. What that did was put 4 RV's around the outside of a good size grass area, but all of the patio sides faced inward towards each other. This may be difficult with pets. I will stay here again. We camped at McCall RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a first class facility. The way we wish RV Parks all would be like. Large parking site. Nice forest views. Excellent power (50 Amp), good water, good quality dump. Their WiFi works quite well. About 20 Mbps down with a full summertime park load. The camp staff were so nice we would hug them (except we aren't that forward). The only thing we would change is they have no camp fires. Still, we understand the why on that. No dust, well marked, paved roads. Very coarse gravel parking site with concrete (large) pad for picnic table. This is RV camping at its best. We camped at McCall RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is very likely my favorite RV Park I've ever stayed in. It's lovely. The sites are super long, gravel with concrete pads, lovely round picnic tables, and a bit of grass. The surroundings could not be more lovely, smelling that pine air. Pool is indoor so fully shaded with hot tub, steam room, and a club house with free popcorn. Wifi is pretty good, but who wants to use it in McCall? Right across the street from the bike path that takes you right downtown and the river is at the back of the campground with another exit to hike from. Very wide lanes, super easy to back in to sites. They also have these cool square sites if you're going with friends that 4 units can open their doors and share space instead of having to be in a row. Staff was lovely all around and helpful at every turn. I wanted to stay forever! We camped at McCall RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.
