Easy to get in/out of US 12. Paved roads. Sites are spacious and some are pretty long. Not a lot of sites but they have full hook up but with only 30 amp. Utilities worked well including the 30 amp being a solid, consistent 30. Clean restroom, no showers. First-come-first-served site availability. Strong Verizon signal but slow. Host is very friendly and helpful. It was around 100 degrees during the day but as soon as the sun dropped down it cooled off very quickly. We camped at Pink House Recreation Site (BLM) in a Fifth Wheel.

Great place to stay. Hosts are the best we've witnessed in 8 years of traveling. The park has 30 amp only with water and sewer at each site. ATT did not work at all. There are just a few sites that will fit a 40' motorhome and toad. How anyone can find fault with this park is beyond me. If you need 50 amp service go elsewhere. It's wrong to mark down a park for something they say doesn't exist at the park. We camped at Pink House Recreation Site (BLM) in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This BLM run campground has 14 sites of which three are elevated tent sites. Only two pull thrus are available near the river side of the park. However, the back-in sites would easily accomodate our 28 ft fifth wheel trailer and pickup. The site hosts deserve a ten star for the park appearance and their welcoming and helpful manner. The full service facilities (sewer, water, and 30 AMP0 worked well and were well placed. If I placed my verizon mifi puck outside the trailer, verizon internet service was mostly satisfactory except during busy periods in the evening. My 3g Verizon based Tracfone showed no service. One boundary of the park is the Clearwater river which you can access via several foot paths. During our three night stay here, the park was never full. Even one of the pull thrus was available. The park is first come, first served so I would guess it is full to over flowing later in the summer. We will definitely return again. We camped at Pink House Recreation Site (BLM) in a Fifth Wheel.

This was a great find of a bargain. Full hookup for $9.00 with the senior National Park pass. Well, no wifi or tv. But the Clearwater river is there and the nicest camp host you could ask for! A little traffic noise is the only complaint. We camped at Pink House Recreation Site (BLM) in a Motorhome.

Not to iterate all that's been said before. Heck of a bargain. Road noise if on the south side of park is substantial, but not too bad at nite. Would be a really great place if it had 50 amp service. It gets really hot in these ID river canyons in the summer and 30 amp doesn't really cut it. It's a small park and first come, so should probably check in early. This is a first come, first serve BLM park. Costs are $18 for a full hook up site (30 amp), $10 for tent camping, and $4 per extra vehicle not towed in. We had been at a park about 7 miles away so we didn't tow the car to this park, which meant that we were instructed to pay $22 per night by the camp hostess. Campground is big rig friendly. Interior roads and sites are asphalt. The sites are nicely spaced, but there isn't any privacy, some have shade, some don't. All of the sites appeared to be relatively long, but the back-in sites of 7 and 13 and the two pull-throughs appeared to be the longest sites in the park. Some sites offer a view of the river. Our site was level. Each site had a metal picnic table. There are flush toilets in the campground, but no showers. There is a pit toilet near the boat ramp. The camp hosts were friendly and they keep things clean at this park. The trash dumpster smelled of pine sol (a first in our experience) and the bathrooms were very clean. There is beach access and plenty of space to walk pets. There is a trail around the river where pets are allowed to be off leash. Verizon service worked well for both data and cellular. We didn't have any OTA channels. One thing we thought a bit odd was that there was a lock on the circuit breaker in the electric box, but we didn't question it. We would stay again if passing through the area. We camped at Pink House Recreation Site (BLM) in a Motorhome.

We've been on the road now almost 5 months and this is the best value yet! At $9.00 with a Senior Pass for full hookups it's a steal! It's a very nice BLM campsite on the Clearwater River. There is a nice little beach at the day use area. The sites vary in size but most are pretty large and widely spaced and most have some shade. The restrooms are sparkling clean and large. There's no wi-fi, of course, but the Verizon signal was strong enough to get everything done efficiently using data. The only drawback is that it's near the highway and there's some road noise although I didn't notice it at all inside our rig at night. We liked this place so much we stayed a second night. I would absolutely stay again. Wish we could find more like this at such a good price! We camped at Pink House Recreation Site (BLM) in a Truck Camper.

BLM Park just outside of Orofino ID. Camped using senior pass so it was about $9 a night. My wife got stung by a bee in the back of her knee cleaning out the fire pit. I was able to wifi with a range extender. Paved spots, not much shade but a nice park on the river. Not a destination but a waystop for a couple of days. We camped at Pink House Recreation Site (BLM) in a Travel Trailer.

An excellent choice for an overnight or longer. Only downside is that there are no showers. Half-price for us more "mature" individuals. We camped at Pink House Recreation Site (BLM) in a Motorhome.

WOW what a nice camp ground. What can I say. BLM did a good job on the camp ground and the host was so helpful. Great beach. Clean Clean, good job BLM. This camp ground is better than the so called $50.00 a night camp grounds for only $9.00 for the older people. It needs showers, but the rest rooms are very clean We camped at Pink House Recreation Site (BLM) in a Motorhome.

This is one of the best Federal Campcrounds I have ever stayed in and I have been on the road for 5 years. The host is great and very helpful. This camp ground is very well kept and is a treat to stay at for anyone who looks for a clean well manicured. The bathrooms are very clean unlike a lot of places I have stayed. There is a clean beach where you can relax and take a dip in the Clearwater River. I just can not say enough about this camp ground, great job BLM. It is very quiet and the host checks the grounds at night to ensure the security of the campers. GO THERE, I will again. We camped at Pink House Recreation Site (BLM) in a Travel Trailer.

We loved this place. Kids loved this place. Stayed 4 nights for a baseball tournament. First come first serve. Short walk across the campground to a nice beach. River was cold but pretty, cold may have just been because the dam was trying to cool the water for the fish (took a tour of the dam). Campground was really clean. Sites were spacious and not cramped, ours was partially shaded. Neighbors were great. Bathrooms were clean but no showers. Camp host was great, very helpful and friendly. Campground was quiet but filled fast on the weekend, host had to turn people away on Friday night. Water, power, sewer and I thought cable was there too, but we don't have a TV in our trailer so I guess I'm not sure about that. This was a great campground, then the price made it a perfect 10! Seniors next to us paid $9 with some kind of a card. $18 per night for us. We camped at Pink House Recreation Site (BLM) in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Stumbled on this very new looking BLM park and we were stunned by how nice it was. This is a destination! Located about 100 feet outside of Orofino town limits on the west side, this is a gorgeous little gem with 15 RV sites with full hookups, paved sites, I've paid more for "Resort" sites that weren't as nice. Although all but one site are back-in, they are spacious and nicely angled for easy back-in. There is a boat launch and boat/TV parking away from the camping area, a nice sandy beach, grassy areas for playing dog walking, and really clean bathrooms, though no showers. The photo on the website shows the day use area and doesn't show the campground it starts at the upper right of the photo). Loved this spot and wanted to stay, but we had to head on home. Many thanks to the BLM for such a top notch campground. We camped at Pink House Recreation Site (BLM) in a Travel Trailer.
