Not big rig friendly. Good place for kids but not good for adults that prefer peace and quiet. Loud music, ATVs continually up and down the road (at speed), zip line whizzing past all day and dogs chained to the trees barking. The camp host in the Big Rock section has a major attitude. Clean, grassy site with mature trees but hanging branches. Extremely tight turns in the campground and tight windy roads leading to the campground. Don't even consider pulling a big rig into the check in area as to get out requires several 3-point turns and then a very tight u-turn back onto the road. We camped at Heise Hot Springs in a Motorhome.

A Beautifully Groomed, Shady, large 30' wide-site RV Park, with a whole Lot to do while you're here. Beautiful Grass, level, sites, good roads, Very Nice, caring people in the Office, and mostly friendly attendants at this park. You can play golf at their 'mini golf course', putt at their putting green, go down the Zip Line, or soak in the many Hot Springs they have of all different temperatures. The Only Negatives are the Loud, 4-wheelers screaming up and down the road next to the park (and most of these are Park Attendants taking and picking up riders of the Zip-Lines) and other vehicles, the Barking dogs belonging to uncaring, inconsiderate owners. We camped at Heise Hot Springs in a Motorhome.

You might want to go visit the Army Surplus store in Idaho Falls. Everything is Well Overpriced, but still interesting.

Stayed for a total of four days. Spots are tight and close together with large trees on both sides. Campground host will insist on parking you, however on the bottom of the receipt you get is a notice that no one there is responsible for any damage to your unit!! There are also multiple sites with 20+ people on each one. 3-4 cars on those sites too. Our site, R-43 backed into an unstabilized dirt wall that was taller than our motorhome. We sat out one evening and saw dirt falling from above. Had concerns about that too. There is a constant barrage of four wheelers, quads and razors running up and down the road. They have a small store, but we did not buy anything so cannot comment. On a positive note...try the zip line if you are going to stay here. The crew there is awesome!! We camped at Heise Hot Springs in a Motorhome.

This is actually serval camping areas in driving distance of each other and the office. Well kept, big trees and lots of grass. NO WiFi, no cable, and NO satellite due to the big trees......but we're camping right! Don't use GPS coming in from the north. It takes you down an awful gravel/dirt road and we wound up with a filthy coach and tow! We camped at Heise Hot Springs in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Base camp for south Yellowstone or Tetons. (75-60 miles respectively). There are closer RV parks to the Tetons. Pizza joint in RV Park was pretty good. Nice golf course. Take in the swimming pool and hot springs...both are separate from the RV park and charge admission. Zip lining (10) and young people were loving it...($65.00 for all 10).

We expected better from this park based on previous reviews. Granted, we were there on a busy weekend, but we were placed in an area with full hookups along a busy road. Only restrooms were port a potties and no wi fi or showers. It was crowded but all campers were well behaved. Grass was nicely mowed. But it was expensive for the disregard of any amenities. Located along the Snake River. We camped at Heise Hot Springs in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Heise is a resort with hot springs, a number of RV areas, a golf course and pizza restaurant. It is intermingled with another resort (7N) and they each have hay fields between various places. The Snake River runs through the area and a tall bluff is east of the area. Some of the individual camping areas have gates, always a pain to reach the keypad from a truck or an RV. Lots of trees interfered with satellite and I could not move the trailer a few feet because they were very strict where it was. A zip line went over some of the sites and there was a constant sound of squeaky wheels as the zipsters kept going by. We kept the windows closed and ran the A/C. The sites were a good size. Our Verizon phone and hot spot worked, but friends had troubles with their provider. We had pizza one night and though it was not great pizza, it was pretty good for where we were. The hot springs was a series of concrete pools, nothing natural about it. The hot pool (104) seemed much cooler than that and was enclosed so as to magnify the noise from all the kids. This was not relaxing. No discount for anyone staying there plus have a quarter for the lockers. Since we met friends there, we had a good time with them, but Heise seemed more a business investment than a welcoming resort. They did not raise their prices for the total eclipse and for that, they should be complimented. Perhaps a resort, but a pretty basic one. We camped at Heise Hot Springs in a Travel Trailer.

Lots of grass around campsites. Only three full hookups but lots of spaces for partial. Beautiful view of Snake River. Enjoyed walking by the river each morning and evening. Great pizza place located next door. Camped here because I was excited to experience the hot springs but disappointed with it. Thought it was a complete natural springs to sit in but it was a cement enclosed area with the hot water pumped in. Also, was not part of the cost of staying in the park. Great area for family reunions around the swimming pools. Everything cost to participate in such as to go down the slide cost $1 for three times. Also, the showers cost 25 cents for 3 minutes. That type of nickeled and dimed. All service people were kind and the laundromat was clean and affordable. We camped at Heise Hot Springs in a Motorhome.

I think. This is a wonderful park. It has large shady trees. Gravel roads and grass parking site. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I filled up with their propane before they guided me into my spot. Some people might complain about close quarters getting into my spot but I had no problem getting my 38 ft class a into it. I enjoyed camping on the grass and the price was right for a full 50 hookup. The snake river run right at the edge of this campground. The executive golf course is very nice. The hot springs are good. They have a number of pavillions and tent camping side. I think many groups and family reunions reserve them and the surrounding sites. Not busy during the week but full on weekends. Also people come from mikes around just for their pizza restaurant. If I am in the area again, I would surely return. We camped at Heise Hot Springs in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We stayed at the Heise Hot Springs RV Park during August, intending to stay only one week, and decided to stay two more. There are 3 'sections' to this RV Park, we staying in a section of about 40 spaces. Lots of trees, and all the spaces are grass, no gravel pads. Space between sites, and gravel road around the Park. Very quiet, as the park is about 5 miles off the highway, and very close to the Snake River. During the week, there were only around 7 RVs in the Park, but it was completely full for the weekends. Staff helps to guide everyone into their site.

A zipline ride runs overhead of the cliffs behind the park - it was fun watching folks sail by! The Hot Springs Pool fee is not included with your fees, but was only 10 dollars. We camped at Heise Hot Springs in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The Hot Springs Pool and Zipline are just about 1/4 mile away from the site. Looks like Snake River boat fishing is very popular here - but we didn't fish ourselves.

Not close to any town or city, so grocery shopping is about 20-30 minutes away in Rexburg or Idaho Falls Idaho.

This campground holds largely seasonals, but does have a few sites available for overnighters. We had to make a last-minute change to our travel plans, so we called ahead to this campground by only a few minutes, and ended up being the only ones coming in that night for a FHU site. Sites are grass and dirt, and many are well shaded by large trees. Most are not all that level, and ours required a bit of leveling. We were able to stay hitched up during our stay. Bathrooms were a bit strange - shower curtains instead of doors on the toilet stalls, and no privacy for changing in the shower area (though the showers themselves have shower curtains.) Pleasant management, and they were always busy sprinkling, mowing, etc. around the grounds, which are extensive. Cellphone service (Verizon) and wireless surprisingly decent, considering this place is down in a valley. Very quiet at night, but the campground was not busy when we were there. There was a large group having some kind of party (bouncy houses, large tents, etc.) in the day-use area nearby, but we didn't hear much noise anyway. We camped at Heise Hot Springs in a Travel Trailer.

Lots of activities here, if one is interested in them - ziplining, fishing, hot springs (pools), picnics, etc. Pizza place on the premises as well. This is apparently a very popular weekend/vacation destination for folks from southeast Idaho.

This was kind of a mixed bag. They have several areas where RV's are parked. Our site was fine and next to a bunch of seasonal campers and that was fine. Anther area looked like a gravel parking lot. Their Wi-Fi was the most aggravating I've used; strong signal and speed one minute and the next minute disconnected. We stopped to use the hot spring pool but, after seeing how dirty it was, we did not use it. They do have great pizza and huckleberry ice cream at their restaurant. We camped at Heise Hot Springs in a Motorhome.

We really liked this resort. Reminded us of a day gone by. Beautiful area...super nice people. Pizza parlor, golf course, pool, river...lots of grassy areas. Limited full hook-up sites for RVs and even those were a sort of tough to get into. That being said, it was a wonderful stay and we would definitely go back again~~ We camped at Heise Hot Springs in a Travel Trailer.

Decided to stay here as we saw they had a hot springs pool. But they have so much more. We 'camped' in their 12 space 'golf course' field lot, across the road from their little 9 hole golf course. 30 amp/water/sewer. Short walk takes you to their restaurant/pizza parlor; the 1st tee on the golf course (only $9.50 to play). The 'cool' pool is 75 degrees or so with large waterslide. The 'hot springs' pool and hot tub was 92 and 105 degrees, respectively. Absolutely wonderful for relaxing. Note that water activities were an extra fee, but reasonable. All day pass or one time use available. Verizon cell/air card good, minimal AT&T service. We did get Direct TV through a hole in the trees. Relatively large complex with many permanent residents, but they are located far from the overnight area. Small convenience store. Propane. Hard to find with GPS: call for exact directions. A wonderful find. Definitely would come back if in the area. We camped at Heise Hot Springs in a Fifth Wheel.
