This a well maintained park that is creekside at one end of Wallace. The park includes a pub type restaurant with great food. The park is used by those passing through and also those who come with all terrain vehicles to explore the area. The historic town is an easy walk away to shops and restaurants. The park also has a few cabins which look like nice places to stay. We have been here twice in the past 3 years and the staff is friendly and helpful. We camped at Wallace RV Park in a Motorhome.

Got there when there were only two or three other RVs in the CG. Not too hard to back in. Creek is right behind you! Had to park the truck perpendicular to the 5th wheel, and we were VERY close to the next sites. Not bad until it started filling up for Memorial Weekend! We camped at Wallace RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Wallace is a fun town. Beautiful old buildings. Ate at the Chalkboard Cafe and the Red Garage. Both were great. There is also a restaurant on the CG property. Ate there the first night - not good! Ate there the last night, and it was delicious. Went on a mine tour and rode the Hiawatha Trail which was the main reason we were there. Rode a bit of the Coeur d' Alene Trail, but a lot of it goes under I-90 so that wasn't great.

Nice staff, and clean, basic place for an overnight stay. Checked - good, clean power. No hot skin conditionsGood cellular access for Verizon, but effectively no WiFi - only at the attached - and GREAT - City Limits Brew Pub which is owned by the same people as the park. Nice creek running behind half of the sites. Enjoyed conversations with many of the RVers. Great walking into and around Wallace - the "center of the Universe" (ask about that in town). We camped at Wallace RV Park in a Motorhome.

Super fun place to stay. As others have noted, if you have a large rig, you may encounter some maneuvering challenges. Sites are definitely small and close together, but we didn't mind and enjoyed chatting with out neighbors. We took a back-in site along the creek and enjoyed listening to it as we drifted off to sleep. This was a very quiet campground in spite of being so close to I-90. The gentleman in the office was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Grounds were well maintained and the restrooms and showers were clean. We would definitely return! We camped at Wallace RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Wallace is rich in mining history. The entire downtown core is on the National Register of Historic Places and is within easy walking distance of the RV park. You can easily access the Trail of the Coeur d'Alene's, a famous bike path, from the RV park. Dinner at the on-site City Limits Brew Pub was good, as was breakfast at the quirky Red Light Garage Diner in town.

Good location in the historic town of Wallace. Walking distance if it wasn't so hot... we rode our bikes around early. Spots on the creek had you listening to a babbling brook. Roadside, not so much. Creekside spots weren't even in size so some had a nice area and some didn't. No picnic table, no fire ring. Just a spot with 50 amp, water, and sewer connection. Good info from the check in person and we got a backroads map of the area. Great lunch at the brewery on the property! We camped at Wallace RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Route of the Hiawatha is a must do, have a good headlight! The Moon Pass road was long & dusty but full of scenic views along the N. fork of the St. Joe. Avery had great ice cream at the trout fly shop and a real rail car at the trout pond to go thru. The pawn shop in town had a full size stuffed lion, moose, and buffalo in case your man cave needs one. Mine tour was really good. The grocery store had the best seleciton of Tim's Chips we have found on our road trip!

Wallace, ID is a wonderful little town. Wallace RV Park is a great little park. It is small but clean, neat, quaint and friendly (with a GREAT restaurant on the property). We were on site 14 (30 on the site map) and, because of its angle, we had plenty of room on our social side and backed up to a really pretty babbling brook. The utilities were good, but no wifi. Our only complaint about the park was that parking your RV can be a challenge. If the park is full or close to full you don't have room to swing and negotiate the elements of backing in. One day in particular we had to move our truck 4 times to give others enough room to park. We didn't mind the moving, but you should know you might have to knock on a door and ask someone to move their vehicle. The park is within walking distance to town and the town is SO worth seeing. We camped at Wallace RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice small park with easy drive/walk into town. Stayed here last year and came back knowing it is good for quiet times. Lots to see in town and also around the area--old mines/history, etc. Small problem you many need to be aware of--pull-thrus are only 30 amp, if you need 50 amp, it will be a back-in. Also, the pull-thrus are accessed directly off the side road along the park and have a dip in front of them--many gouges from dragging rears of long-overhang units, mine included. Food/beverages are good at the adjacent City Brew Pub/grill. We camped at Wallace RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Plenty to see/do in town--historic places without the touristy hype and same stuff seen everywhere else. Good eating at the 1313 Bar/Grille. May only be 2 fuel stations in town, about 20c higher than Missoula. If you are thinking about a new Ram pickup--world's largest dealer is in Kellogg about 15 miles west, well known for good deals. Nice small town and friendly people.

A back in site with full service. Town within walking distance. Restaurant on the campground premises-very nice. Would have stayed longer but had schedule to keep to. Departing the next day stopped for breakfast in town at the "Garage Cafe"...quirky, fun. Passing through again, definitely worth stopping here. We camped at Wallace RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a fine place for an overnight stay if you're hoofing it across the country on I-90. Tight quarters. No amenities, e.g., picnic tables, fire rings. But there's a roaring mountain creek that drowns out freeway noise, a very fine restaurant with a varied menu that even vegans will enjoy, a lovely gravel road/trail that's great for dog walking along the creek. We camped at Wallace RV Park in a Motorhome.

This park has full hook ups and is pretty close quarters with your neighbors. That said, it is in a neat little town and has a restaurant and microbrewery on site. The food and craft beer from the restaurant were very good. There is a "Melodrama" play performed in the old Wallace Theater a block away. Being walking distance from anything in Wallace is a major reason for staying at this park, which makes up for the lack of typical campground amenities like picnic tables and fire rings, and a bit more space between campers. There is a small creek that runs along side the campground, and runs under the building housing the brewpub and restaurant. All in all a nice place to stay for a few days while taking in all the neat little town of Wallace has to offer. We camped at Wallace RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Two craft breweries in town (one is onsite), a Melodrama at the Old School Wallace Theater, tours available of the worlds largest silver mine which is still open and producing. Really neat small town in a valley surrounded by mountains.

Stayed three nights and did most of the touristy things in town. Stream behind the campsite, but didn't spend much time hanging out. Although it was a tight squeeze, it was a quiet park. SInce you're in a canyon, shade isn't really an issue. We camped at Wallace RV Park in a Motorhome.
