Feb 2010 - $20.00
We stayed here in the very depth of winter during a three day snowstorm. This campground is about 15 minutes from Galesburg, IL. We were glad to find this place at this time of year with full hookups! The park manager was very kind and accommodating - even when the water froze and he had to come out and dig it up. The pipe froze underground and he had to dig it up, bit it was fixed in less than half an hour. The road was plowed each day. We were the only campers out here, and the bathroom facilities were closed for the winter so can't speak to that. Not much to do here in the winter, but we enjoyed the quiet and the hills were great for kids sledding. The interior roads seem tight but we easily maneuvered our 35 ft motorhome. The place looks like it's been there awhile. There are some pieces of heavy equipment there by the Office and it won't pass as a resort spot, but nothing really objectionable. There were several large 5th wheels there - looked like folks came and went throughout the year (in good repair). Do not use your GPS directions to find this place - call and get directions! It's easy to find and just a few miles from I-74 but the roads have been changed and renamed in the area and the GPS directions are way off. We would go back. - Joann26

This is a very nice campground, very well maintained with helpful staff. Large area for walking/dog walking nice trails around the park. Would definitely stay here again. - Full Timers McC

We stayed only one night as we traveled through the state. We did call early that morning in order to reserve the last 50amp site. The staff were great, area clean. It had a nice mixture of daily, weekly and seasonal campers segmented accordingly. I would definitely stay here again. The pull through site was gravel but very level. - Don P

Jul 2018 - $22.00
Nice woodsy, spacious setting, freshly mowed, pleasant staff. Office smells bad like mold. Restrooms are dirty, with peeling paint. Trash cans need lids; some animals (raccoons?) are pulling out the trash at night. Variety of types of sites. - Sue S
Jul 2013 - $27.00
Be aware...the full hook-up sites are only 30 amps. We were told when making our reservation, and it states online, they have 50 amp and full hookup. The full hookup sites are only 30 amps. Some sites were cement while others were grass. Looked nice but we ended up getting refunded and leaving due to no 50 amp full hookups. They said they were looking to add 50 amps to the full hookup sites, but not until next year or so. Their is a lake and many shaded sites. Looks lovely for a family to spend some time. Not hard to find. Only a couple miles off main highway. Walmart and restaurants a couple miles away. - BrendaB
Jun 2012 - $28.00
This is a large City park with mostly tent camping. There a few sites that are designated handicap and have concrete pads. The rest of the sites are on grass. The water hookups will require a 50 ft. hose on several sites. If all sites are filled, the park would be very crowded. I would stop here again but would request a spot between 118 and 128, which are RV sites. The rest of the park is primarily tent sites. - A hitch and hop

Aug 2016 - $30.00
This campground under new ownership and already seeing progress. Have spent the last three summers here as summer quarters as we are Fulltime RV'ers. Lots of shade, very quiet and just 3 miles to Bushnell which has several fast food and family owned restaurants and also a Dollar Store and grocery. Strongly recommend to anyone needing a no-frills campground. There is a pond for swimming altho not ideal, kids love it and a playground. - openrange
Jul 2009 - $18.00
The rate is Passport America for a back in site with 50 amp and air conditioning surcharges. Sites are fairly wide, some with concrete pads. Roads appear to be asphalt and gravel. There is a swimming beach on one of the lakes and lots of open grassy area. Verizon signal was strong. We had intermittent low water pressure. Campground is just outside of Bushnell but fairly remote. Very quiet atmosphere when we were there. Laundry area appeared run down. We would stay again if in the area. - BigRigTravelerUSA

Jun 2018 - $30.00
We have stayed and have had good and bad experiences. The owner treated us like family on our first stays. Our last stay he accused us of not paying. Needless to say the place has grown to become a typical live-in trailer park. You are on top of one another and campers turn on each other like you would witness in a shoddy neighborhood. - Ed and Susie
Jun 2008 - $25.00
I agree with the previous reviewer. This place is a work in progress, but after a few improvements it promises to be a very nice place. The sites are huge and right on one of the lakes. The sunsets here are breathtaking. The owners are very pleasant and helpful. They really want you to have a great stay. - FUNCAMPIN
Sep 2007 - $20.00
This is a new campground that is just getting started. No shower house yet, but with full hook ups, that didn't matter. Five lakes with excellent fishing. One lake has a swimming beach. Paddleboats and row boats available to rent. Well maintained. The owner is always around to make sure things are fine and your stay is enjoyable. If you like peace and quiet, this is the place to go. - msmatch
