We needed to be in this location and this was the only campground in the area. Driving in, I was impressed with the clean pool, lots of flowers and freshly painted fence. I was shocked at paying $60.00! Staff was friendly but that doesn't justify such a high cost. No cable or internet unless you sat on their porch with a computer. Bathrooms were average. The dump station was situated so your RV is tilted in such a way that your tanks can't drain. How can a campground charge so much for just a bit of space? - Silvana CLark

Great place for camping. We usually bring a big group and the manager is very accommodating. - JILLYLANEY
Jun 2009 - $30.00
Camped here twice so far, they have 9 short term sites. Family friendly and dogs are welcomed. All 9 sites are back in and are tight. Nice pool and Camp store. Not a lot to do at the camp grounds itself. - Mojo 035

First night of a 3 week trip made us question if buying a camper was a wise decision. Super friendly staff, down home folk--drove us to a site where pull through was easy but a dead limb above us gave pause. Most of the residents are workers, some with families who live there and act accordingly, with fireworks going off till at least 2:30 a.m. Sounded like a competition with someone farther away. The roar of the diesel engine starting up next door at 4 am finally lulled me to sleep. Had read a July 4 review that mentioned the fireworks competition too but thought surely a week later the holiday was over--alas not so. Owner would not answer the phone after closing time so could not complain. Dog poop right beside utility hookup from the pooch next door & the grass was so high I wouldn't have seen it but my super sniffer detected it. Never realized till we saw signs at future camps that fireworks are not permitted, that there are so many redneck low lifes that get a charge out of keeping people up all night with loud noises, that they have to be told not to disturb people. If you HAVE to stay there, ask first if the fireworks show has ended, unless that sort of thing doesn't keep you up. Shop around. I you have to stay here ask if the person shooting off fireworks all night has stopped. Didn't see pool but some mentioned one. Didn't use the showers and bathrooms, curtain hanging over the opening with a chair outside were not disgusting but were among the worst encountered during a 3 week tour. Price seemed high for what we had to endure. - mzmo

We had called this park twice before arriving, and had not received a call back. We went anyway. Roads throughout the park were bumpy, muddy, full of potholes. There were many permanent residents in broken down, trash strewn places that should have been bulldozed. Crowded, non-level, barely paved sites obscured by fallen leaves. I saw a Pitbull, off leash, and mentioned it to the owner. I saw things happening that led me to believe that "anything goes" and if there are any rules in place, they are certainly not enforced. We drove through the park a couple of times, with the owner and another fellow. I feared for the safety of our rig and our small dog. Luckily we found another place to stay and left. - mrsweeble

It is open year round. There are lots of permanet residents there. The dogs run free but are friendly. The trees infested with carpenter ants. There is only wifi by the office with no shade. We were there over the 4th and firecrackers were going off until about 3 a.m. - hap

We stayed here in a 40Ft rig. Most of the sites are taken up by long term seasonal residents. Management is good, have on-site security, and have worked hard in cleaning up the trash. Our rate for the month of June is $500 which includes electric. However we have found some people are charged less. We stayed here because of family in Montgomery, IL. which is close by. They do not have a website, but if you do a search you can find it on the web. - Gatorcq

This is a huge park! If you're road tripping and need a stop for the night, it's likely they will have a spot! They are over 400 acres and about 400 sites, although only one area is geared for short term stays. They have pools, a nice store and really nice, very helpful people. We needed a site where we did not have to back up (trailer) and they put us in a field which was perfect for our dog to run! - emtjab
Jul 2015 - $40.00
The campground was very poorly maintained with very rough and pot holed roads, the roads were very dusty and heavily traveled with speeding golf carts and off road ATV type vehicles, woke up the next morning with 1/8" of dust on RV and truck. Fire works all evening until they either ran out or got tired of them. the sites were very close, for what should have been maybe 3 sites they had 6 if there had been a camper beside us we could not have put out our awning. There appeared to be no rules; when asked another camper said others have been told if you don't like it leave. Well I will not be back. Keep on looking. do not stop here. - Chief Dave
Jul 2015 - $32.00
The "guard house" was abandoned, the roads almost impossible, the site electric threatened electrocution, the water stank, and we didn't feel safe leaving the coach for an excursion. Very rough people as "greeters", no site map, and we feared for our safety -slept with the pistol loaded right next to my head. - Frances and Sparky
