We stayed one night on site 76 (pull thru FHU). Very good value. Sites were pretty close but not bad for one night. Staff was friendly. We would stay there again. We camped at Marion Campground & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Called ahead for a one night reservation. Easy access from the highway. Check in was quick and easy, friendly office staff. Assigned a long pull thru FHU site with 20,30,50amp service. Interior roads are gravel and easy to navigate. Site was also gravel and level enough for a one night stay. Utilities and sewer well placed and no problems encountered. Clean restroom/shower combination rooms. Lots of cable channels. Good park for overnight or a couple of days to explore the area. We would stay here again. We camped at Marion Campground & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Stayed 1 night as we were passing through. Campground was convenient to the interstate. Bathhouse and laundry room were very clean. I think there were 4 showers with each having a shower, toilet, and sink. This is a great place to overnight! Only downside is a little traffic noise. Would definitely overnight here again when in the area. We camped at Marion Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Perfect park just off Interstate 24 for an quick overnight. They have quite a few amenities including a playground, covered pavilion, small laundromat and a newly opened bar! The check out was seamless and the park offered back in spots on the perimeter and pull thru spots in the middle. The sites were covered with gravel and it had just rained when we pulled in. No problem with flooding. There seems to be some longer term residents and their sites were well kept. Very quiet considering the location. I would stay here again. We camped at Marion Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a very nice small park right off the interstate. Lots are level, spacious and most have shade. There’s a small playground and lots of grass for pets. Internet signal was strong. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Marion Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: March, 2019 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We arrived there mid-March and stayed for 3 weeks (weekly rate was $180) and learned that the manager had cancer again and she passed shortly thereafter. What a shame as she ran a top-shelf campground. Family members have stepped in and everything appears like it will continue to be well run. Employees were staying busy dumping fresh gravel on not only the sites but the service road through it. Due to excessive amounts of rain, the campground was soggy but employees worked hard to keep it very usable. The sites are mostly level and well maintained, although some sites are somewhat close together. Each site has 30/50 amp full hookups. Some water spigots had been winterized, including insulation and heat tape. Restrooms and laundry areas were immaculate! We will gladly stay there again. Easy on / off access from I-57 at exit 53. We camped at Marion Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Close to 100 restaurants in this town, all within 2-10 minutes of this campground. Several big box stores (Wal-Mart, Sam's Club, Target, etc also nearby. There is also a minor league baseball team less than 3 miles away. Lots to do in Marion, IL.

We have stayed in this park previously. They are open in February when we are traveling south for a couple of months. Owner is very nice and accommodating. She will leave your paperwork in the vestibule if you call and will arrive after office hours. We camped at Marion Campground & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This campground is ideal for your snowbird trip south. Close to the interstate, level, well-drained sites, very friendly and accommodating. After hours check in is easy, easy navigation to your site even after dark, very level sites so no messing around to get comfortable. Sites are tight so probably not great for a longer stay. Best bathhouse we've ever seen, your own immaculately clean private bathroom complete with shower, sink, toilet, shelves, hooks and even a chair. We used it because we had not de-winterized yet. We will definitely stay here when passing through again. We camped at Marion Campground & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

This is a relatively small campground in a residential area that is convenient to the interstate for an overnight stop. There is nothing special other than it has full hookups. Interior roads are a bit tight, but navigable. All interior roads and RV sites are gravel. We were able to fit our 40' MH and toad on our site, but just barely. Our site was very soft (so we made no attempt to level) and there was standing water in much of the campground. They had about 4" of rain in the past 24 hours before we arrived. There were several long term residents in the campground, but their RV's were neatly maintained. There appeared to be several places to eat within a short driving distance. We camped at Marion Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

This park is just off the east side of the interstate. It is easy to pass. When you are heading east towards the park, the only sign for the campground is on the opposite (north) side of the road and easy to miss. Start looking for the campground as soon as you pass under the interstate.

We stayed here for a month during Christmas 2018. The manager, is fantastic, she keeps the park clean, quiet and is very responsive to any problems. For example, during our stay, one of the clothes dryers kept eating our quarters one night. We told her about this the next day, and she promptly refunded what we had lost. This campground is adjacent to I-57, but the road noise isn't too bad, especially if you like to sleep with a small fan running. The park was about a third to half full during our stay, occupied by folks who were working in the area (eg. travel nurses), but no "riff-raff". Everything is clean. We took advantage of the monthly rate, which was $525 at the time we stayed here, and this was with full hookups and included electric. We will definitely be staying here again! We camped at Marion Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We had been on the road for hours and were hot and tired when we arrived. The lady in the office was so welcoming and friendly. It is amazing how her attitude made us feel. The campground was immaculate in every way, and it is obvious that great care is taken to keep it so. This was an overnight stop at the end of a month's trip. The campground is easily accessible to the interstate. We will return to this campground and stay longer next time we are in the area. We camped at Marion Campground & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

The entire campground was flooded from the rains of the previous days. Honestly they shouldn't have rented that site because it was mostly under water, but we didn't realize it until we got in there and it was getting late. Since we had boondocked, we were looking for a place to have full hookups. We have a 42' fifth wheel, and had less than a foot on each side of the rig to the trees once the slides were out. We weren't able to use the sewer because it drained uphill. Trees needed trimming because there was no way to avoid branches as we were leaving. won't stay here again, but can see why those that need to use the VA hospital would. We camped at Marion Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
