Overall Rating:

This campground is ideal for your snowbird trip south. Close to the interstate, level, well-drained sites, very friendly and accommodating. After hours check in is easy, easy navigation to your site even after dark, very level sites so no messing around to get comfortable. Sites are tight so probably not great for a longer stay. Best bathhouse we've ever seen, your own immaculately clean private bathroom complete with shower, sink, toilet, shelves, hooks and even a chair. We used it because we had not de-winterized yet. We will definitely stay here when passing through again. We camped at Marion Campground & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

This is a relatively small campground in a residential area that is convenient to the interstate for an overnight stop. There is nothing special other than it has full hookups. Interior roads are a bit tight, but navigable. All interior roads and RV sites are gravel. We were able to fit our 40' MH and toad on our site, but just barely. Our site was very soft (so we made no attempt to level) and there was standing water in much of the campground. They had about 4" of rain in the past 24 hours before we arrived. There were several long term residents in the campground, but their RV's were neatly maintained. There appeared to be several places to eat within a short driving distance. We camped at Marion Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

This park is just off the east side of the interstate. It is easy to pass. When you are heading east towards the park, the only sign for the campground is on the opposite (north) side of the road and easy to miss. Start looking for the campground as soon as you pass under the interstate.

We stayed here for a month during Christmas 2018. The manager, is fantastic, she keeps the park clean, quiet and is very responsive to any problems. For example, during our stay, one of the clothes dryers kept eating our quarters one night. We told her about this the next day, and she promptly refunded what we had lost. This campground is adjacent to I-57, but the road noise isn't too bad, especially if you like to sleep with a small fan running. The park was about a third to half full during our stay, occupied by folks who were working in the area (eg. travel nurses), but no "riff-raff". Everything is clean. We took advantage of the monthly rate, which was $525 at the time we stayed here, and this was with full hookups and included electric. We will definitely be staying here again! We camped at Marion Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We had been on the road for hours and were hot and tired when we arrived. The lady in the office was so welcoming and friendly. It is amazing how her attitude made us feel. The campground was immaculate in every way, and it is obvious that great care is taken to keep it so. This was an overnight stop at the end of a month's trip. The campground is easily accessible to the interstate. We will return to this campground and stay longer next time we are in the area. We camped at Marion Campground & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

A very nice CG to spend a night or two while traveling through the area. This is not a "destination" park. Fairly priced and very well managed. We camped at Marion Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

The entire campground was flooded from the rains of the previous days. Honestly they shouldn't have rented that site because it was mostly under water, but we didn't realize it until we got in there and it was getting late. Since we had boondocked, we were looking for a place to have full hookups. We have a 42' fifth wheel, and had less than a foot on each side of the rig to the trees once the slides were out. We weren't able to use the sewer because it drained uphill. Trees needed trimming because there was no way to avoid branches as we were leaving. won't stay here again, but can see why those that need to use the VA hospital would. We camped at Marion Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Small, friendly Campground. Some trees, gravel sites, no problem for our 40 ft. Motorhome towing a vehicle. It is Spring and they've had lots of rain so some muddy areas in between sites but our gravel site was fine for putting down pads and jacks. Lady that checked us in was very friendly. Sites were a bit close to neighbors especially with slides out but was fine for two nights. All utilities worked great including the 50 amp service. Great local place called The Vault for breakfast in downtown square that was a bank built in 1890. Only 2 miles away, great food, great service.

We stayed 2 nights. Our site was level. The campground was clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly and attentive. Like most campgrounds there was highway noise - but I always bring my earplugs - so not a problem. Decent WIFI and pet friendly. I felt safe and that staying here was a good value. I would recommend this RV Park and would come back again. We camped at Marion Campground & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Stayed for a week and half and visited friends in the area. We enjoyed the stay and was very pleased with the way the park was taken care of. You can sit outside day or night and you hardly hear any noise from interstate 57. They have a large pet walk area and they even provide poo bags in case you forget yours. Management is very friendly and accommodating. All in all a very pleasant stay for wife and I. We camped at Marion Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Close to Interstate but no noise in the campground, unless you hear the trains that go by several times each day. Not a lot of there here but it's good for a couple of days. The WiFi is okay but according to the Office they had a lightning strike and it did a number on their cable. All stations were snowy. A large on-leash dog area for the fuzzy kids was good. Not likely to return here but that's us. We camped at Marion Campground & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Nice gravel & level sites. Pull thru and back in sites. Very easy on/off I-57. No noticeable highway noise.
