Oct 2017 - $36.00
Was ok for a quick stopover but wouldn't go back. The person at the front desk needs customer service training, was texting instead of helping me. No drinking water - the water spigots all had warnings, not well kept, lake was pretty. Sites were just kinda open field. We prepaid and our amount paid was $10 higher than posted amount. - srync

Stopped at the office to check-in and was met by a young man that did not seem to be very enthused about his job. I noticed a "road closed" sign leading into the campground so I asked the young man if that would affect me getting to my site (#6) and he said it would not. I proceeded to my site and discovered that the road leading into my "pull-thru' site was completely blocked by construction equipment. So, I had to go the "wrong way" to access my site and back-in. Was not a problem to back-in but many neighbors had their vehicles parked along the road and it made for interesting maneuvering. It sure would have helped the entire situation if the office had provided accurate information for accessing the site. Water hydrants are located in various locations. Someone had a hose and filter hooked up to the hydrant closest to my site. Creates awkward situation when you have to disconnect someone's hose so you can fill your tank. The site required almost 12 inches of lift to level my 5th wheel. My neighbors (both sides) loved their campfires. They let them smolder all day and all night so it was impossible to open my door and enjoy the nice weather. The dump station is quite a distance from the campground, actually located at the boat ramp. Definitely not convenient to dump on the way out of the park. Verizon service was ok (4G with two bars). Was able to pick-up 17 channels with antenna. It is a nice park that has a lot of potential but I will not stay here again. - Alaska Jim
Oct 2015 - $25.00
Just needed a campsite for one night so this was a pretty good choice for our 40' fifth wheel. Site was a long pull thru that was fairly level. Easy access to I-39 and not much noise from the highway. Electric was 50 amp, no water at the campsites but there was a spigot nearby. Very pretty campground with some fall colors. - Patricia Sterkowitz

We stayed here for a week when in the Bloomington area for a family wedding. The large pull-through sites were easily accessible with ample space between them. Good wifi signal and cell reception. Close to a highway, but the noise was not an issue for us. The pool was closed for the season but looked clean and well-kept, as were the grounds and campsites. Staff were all friendly and helpful. We would return if in the area again. - Wayne60
Jun 2018 - $36.00
This is a very well maintained, small park sandwiched between the interstate and a railroad track. Needless to say it is noisy. It is easy to get in and out of on a narrow country road and narrow interior entrance road. Interior roads are gravel once you get past the office. We had a long, FHU, pull-thru. The utilities worked well but the water pressure was only 30 psi. Verizon signal strong. Wifi was solid. If you don't mind relentless highway noise from less than 100 yards away and the periodic train (we had two in 24 hours) this is a really nice little park. - cwier
May 2018 - $36.00
Stayed here for one night while traveling cross country. Campground is right next to the interstate with traffic whizzing by at 75 mph. Our site could not have been more than 150 feet from the interstate. VERY NOISY the entire time we were there. Could still here the traffic with all windows shut and the air conditioners running. As you approach the campground along narrow back roads you see a train track just ahead of the campground entrance. No trains while we were there but the track is there for some reason. Would not recommend staying here unless you are very tired and can sleep through significant traffic noise. That being said, the park is older but clean with a 30 amp section and a 50 amp section. OTA TV brought in a couple stations. No major networks though. Verizon signal was four bars. Campground offers free internet. Campground map shows a pool and playground. No fenced pet area. Check in was easy although the check in person must have been new as she initially charged me the wrong amount confusing the nightly rate with the site number. Electric worked fine. Water was okay but tended to spurt due to air in the line. Sewer was not centrally located on site so required a long hose. - Bobco

They need to mow the grass, it's too tall. No soap in the container in the bathroom and fire ring full of ashes to the top. - Moparchic
Sep 2017 - $20.00
Greeted by camp host. Pick your own site. Great rate. Lots of trees. Short walk to lake (although lake edge was kind of junky. People, throw away your trash!). Electric only. Had a spigot within campground to fill water tank. Level site. We enjoyed our 1 night there and would love to go there again. Roads and turns were a little tight for bigger rigs. - RvCandyP
Sep 2017 - $20.00
Mostly shady sites with mature trees. Lake is very pretty, direct access close to F section. F1 is the only pull through, but one pin in 30 amp power receptacle was arcing. There was a sign that said -max 24 -amps even though it was a 30 amp. We moved to C8 one of the 5 50 amp sites- it had a sign - max 40 amps. (C5,6,7,8,9 are all 50 amp). campground was pretty empty midweek after Labor Day. We had 5 clear channels with antenna:, cbs, PBS.. Stayed for one night, would return. Very nice camp hosts. - Jeannehanes

Oct 2018 - $38.00
This was our second time staying in this park both times in the same long, level gravel pull-through full hook-up site. This park is mostly permanent resident sites but is easy to get to and fine for an overnight stop. Sadly, in our opinion, this park is adjacent to a gun club so expect lots of gunfire. - Our Rolling Home
Aug 2018 - $34.00
We just had an overnight and once we got there, we would have stayed longer. But it was Labor Day weekend, they were totally booked. The transient sites are wide and grassy with a lot of trees. The main thing is the friendliness of everyone there, the owners and the other campers. Made for a very pleasant experience. They had many, many activities planned for the holiday weekend including a benefit for an organization helping disabled veterans. We were sorry we could not stay longer. We did not hear any noise from the gun range, maybe they are closed on Thursdays? The owners feel bad about it but there is nothing they can do. They have a warning sign posted on their check-in desk about it, we stayed anyway because our dogs are not bothered by thunder or fireworks. Anyway, the only thing we heard was cows mooing in the middle of the night! - janci
Aug 2018 - $38.00
Nice place to stay for a night. The amenities were nice but there were a LOT of extended stay sites. It is a little off the beaten path but a nice stop over. There is an active gun range right next door and it can make for a long evening of gunfire as long as the sun is up. - Angie B

Pulled into site 113. Hooked up power, water and sewer. I was told that it was a 50 amp service so I plugged into the 50 amp plug. Turned on air and it kept cycling on and off. Checked voltage at one of my outlets and it read 38 volts. Shutdown all electrical. Talked to office and they said only 30 amp works. Used the 30 amp service. Found out at my next stop that the fireplace and the power converter were blown out and had to replace both. Avoid this park. - idahosailors
Mar 2018 - $30.00
I was happy to find a park open in March, but I was extremely disappointed in this park. The woman who took our phone call was nice and helpful, but the park itself is in serious need of repair. The restrooms were as dark and dingy as you could possibly imagine. They were so old and broken down I couldn't really tell if they were clean or not. Also, the park is full of full-timers who were up driving around until very late and all seemed to congregate at the trailer next to us. We did get some sleep, but we will certainly find another campground to stay at next time we drive through. - bimi
Jul 2017 - $38.00
We stayed 5 days 6/30-7/5. The bath house right by our camper had no hot water as they were out of gas and didn't get the gas company out there knowing they were booked to full capacity. The showers by the pool were filthy due to overuse as it was the only place with hot water. There was no internet, despite advertising they have wifi, the whole time we were there. Two of the workers even came in my camper and tried to get internet working and could not. I think the regulars must have a different password for access as they talked about watching movies on Netflix all day. All the 4th of July activities were done on the weekend and absolutely NOTHING was done on the 4th, not even a flag raising. The store was closed early every day despite being booked to full capacity. I sat at my camper and watched person after person go to the store only to realize it was closed. Golf carts price quoted at $150 for 2 days and other services are so overpriced that we could not afford to do much there. Regulars run golf carts through the campground all day and night leaving gas fumes in the air plus the noise of them. At one point the pool had at least 50 people or more in it. They do not have a pool big enough to accommodate 330 campsites. The campsites do not have fire rings making them very dangerous to have a fire with young children around. We have stayed on 2 other occasions and had a good time so to have our vacation so ruined was a real disappointment. I doubt that we will go back again. - Clasz

Jul 2018 - $30.00
We have been going to this park for the last 4 years to meet with a group we spend the winter with in McAllen, Tx. So everyone goes various places for the summer but we meet each year the week after the 4th of July at Kentuckiana and spend a full week. Plus on Saturday night the park has a Kentuckiana country show and it is great. This is a great park. Park is always mowed and looks nice. Sewer and water work fine, power works great. Management is very friendly and helpful. Sites are level and easy to get in and out. You are guided to the sites and helped to park. - Seemore
Jul 2017 - $34.00
This is our 3rd time to stay at this park. We were meeting with a group of people that stat at Sun Light RV park in McAllen, tx in the winter. A lot of the people are from this area, so they have a get together each year in July. Great park and we had a great time. - Seemore
May 2014 - $30.00
This is a nice campground. Pros: The grounds are well kept, there are two stocked ponds for fishing, hosts are friendly, bathrooms were very clean. There are many activities scheduled, such as bingo, fish feeding, and a country Opry show. This campground has two playground areas. One is average and the other one is fantastic! The entrance to the playground is a giant slide called 'Big Red.' The playground at the bottom of the slide is very nice. The campground was generally quiet during the day, and just about silent during quiet hours (10 p.m. - 8 a.m.) Cons: The area of the campground we were in had very, very, very small sites. There are really no attractions nearby. It was fine for a weekend, but any longer of a stay and we would have been bored. All in all, we were very pleased and plan on returning. - rollinrollinrollin
