Seasonal campground surrounding a small lake with mixture of campers, cabins, and mobile homes. Very shady area, fishing allowed in private lake. At first glance seasonal campers appear rundown and not cared for. After staying 1 week, my camper looked the same due to the gnats in area and large amounts of cottonwood trees! Seasonal sites are junky with lots of stuff lying around. Private docks on lake not maintained, some falling in. Restroom showers are typical campground type, made of concrete, dark inside. Did not use. Campground is on a well system and is considered not potable. Bring your own drinking water. Surrounded by swampy wildlife management area. Not that great for overnight stays- there is one other one near in Wever more appropriate for pull off the road sleep- get going again- but this is actually a pretty good choice for staying a couple days. Friendly seasonal campers all local to area and the shade with the lake is nice. - TravelingtheStates

I had never been to this site before a friend recommended it to us. I will say that we found it very relaxing and one of the most friendly sites we've been to. The residents were friendly and helpful, it was very nice to be able to buy bait and supplies right on the grounds. We enjoyed getting to know the people there. The grounds were very clean and peaceful and the owner was very nice and helpful. We will visit them again for sure. - Silly_Sam

This campground was not at all like pictured. We had planned to stay here on our way down the Mississippi River. Everything was run down and in poor condition. The photos do not represent the actual condition of the campground. We were very disappointed and very angry that we went out of our way to find this place. The review comparing this campground to the movie Deliverance is very accurate. We did not stay because of the very poor condition and the awful feeling we got when we drove through the campgrounds. - Dilyte

Trees and plenty of room to stretch out and enjoy the weekend. Named after the geodes with their crystalline interiors which can be found in river banks and creek beds. Removing geodes from the park is not allowed, but nearby land owners may sell you some from their privately owned land. The park is just 20 minutes from Burlington which is a nice place to visit the Mississippi River and summertime farmer's and, flea markets. The campground hosts were super accommodating. Gravel sites. We will come back again. - AluminumCloud

Geode is 20 miles from our house. We stay several weekends each month during the camping season. The roads are asphalt and camping pads are gravel. No hookups at the camp sites. Water spigot as you pull in to fill tank and dump station that is easy to get to. Has a play area for the kids at the campground. The park itself is a very nice park with a beautiful lake that offers great fishing. They just built a new beach house and are in the process of building a playground by the beach. - sbebenelli
