Jun 2017 - $35.00
This is a Park for permanent RV's for vacationers on lake near the Mississippi. water and electric only. No cable or wifi. There were only a few sites for Great River Road travelers. Good for visits to Hannibal, MO. - Alicenpete
Apr 2010 - $25.00
Rate is without sewer ( not available other than pumpout ) and not using Air. ( $3.00 more ) This is a seasonal park with mostly local trailers set up for the summer. Train is very loud and this is not on the river as it looks on the web site. Place needs a lot of work. We would never stay here again. - imperial
May 2009 - $15.00
Rate is based on a monthly rate. This is a nice family park with mostly seasonal sites. The sites are level gravel sites. Management is very friendly. The drawback is the train tracks that pass near the park. There are no sewer hookups, but the owner provides a tank emptying service. - John P
Oct 2019 - $50.00
Called in the afternoon because of a mix-up at another RV park and they told us to come on in. Roads are fairly easy to navigate and sites are mostly level. They are gravel. No cable and I wasn't ever able to connect to the wi-fi and the place was almost completely empty. Not a good place for satellites because of the trees and being down in the hollow. No dog park. No escort to sites. - jgothier
Aug 2019 - $35.00
Cost is for a full hook up, pull-thru site. Park is well maintained with some excellent sites (plenty of shade). We had one of the pull-thru sites - these are narrow and can be tight getting into or out of. Gravel pad at our site was not level and required leveling blocks on one side - no problem, just a little extra work for us. Many of the sites around the perimeter are back-in and are long and level (call early to reserve these!). Utilities worked well and we had no issues with the power, water or sewer. - Dave Hole
Aug 2019 - $38.00
We had a FHU 50amp. Stayed one night, but did get to see around the campgrounds. Bathhouse was dirty, bugs all around the bathhouse (inside & outside), and trash piled up outside the bathhouse. Site was very unlevel and very close to each other. The lady in the office was very very rude. There was big piles of dog poop over by the pavilion & big dog running around loose. The other campers that were staying there were very friendly which was nice. Nicely located not from from town. - 5thwheeltoyhaulerdj
Oct 2019 - $32.00
This is a nice park, cement pads, lots of grass, clean older park. The lady who checked us in was great and lead us to our site. The interior roads where fine, our site was a very long back in and we where able to get satellite. Call before you get there as your GPS will lead you under a small not passable bridge. - sjones
Aug 2019 - $32.00
Concrete pads with FHU in an ex-KOA campground in the quiet city park. Nice well mowed grounds with an attractive clean pool that the manager leaves open until everyone leaves maybe 7pm maybe 10pm. Close to the riverside parks with cycling paths & lanes as well as a boat launch. Lots of shopping available in Quincy and a very nice historic district. - Appleknocker
Sep 2017 - $27.00
very quiet and clean. host lives on site. he was very helpful. the pool was not open but looked nice. nice playground. spacious, concrete, level sites. No cable but can get a good bit with an antenna. wifi was better outside the camper. - MamaBird

Jun 2016 - $34.00
In a nutshell, stay away. If we could give this place a zero we would do so. The bathrooms are beyond filthy, mold appears to be growing on the shower stall benches, trash everywhere. The ground around our campsite was littered with cigarette butts. The buildings and all infrastructure look like they have had no maintenance in years. The "locals" or weekenders were very unfriendly; in fact scary.
It's very unfortunate as the place looks like it may have been decent at one point many years ago. We found the place in an older Good Sam book but the campground was no longer affiliated with Good Sam so there was no discount available.
If visiting the Hannibal area for the Mark Twain historical features find another campground for your stay. We booked two nights but left after staying only one night. - RalphB3
Jun 2015 - $31.00
The lady checking us in was helpful, efficient and knowledgeable about the area.
The campground is old and dirty. Sites were not level, muddy and sewer connection broken.
Appears to be mostly full time residence that do not seem to take any pride in their site. Junk laying all around. Will not come back. - Stockmk
Jul 2014 - $35.00
Worst campground ever! First of all, the campground is not marked, coming from Hannibal. We drove right past it. When we arrived, there is a window/ac unit boarded up with plywood. Not even new plywood, that looks like an accident or breakage recently happened, rotted on the bottom plywood. We arrived at 3pm the afternoon on a FRIDAY , and had to call a phone number listed on the door for help. When we finally arrived at our site and set up, the were so many dogs barking it sounded like we were at the humane society. We have a 32 foot 5th wheel, and had to park the truck on the gravel street, as there wasn't enough room to actually park at the site. We could not find the restaurant/lounge that was listed on the website. The was ice and firewood only at the "general store". The camper across from us, was a permanent site and the camper was finished off with plywood. Batting cages actually worked, but was really old. The kids tried to go to the store several times to get quarters, there wasn't anyone there. Pool is very small , kids didn't stay in it long, they said it smelled funny. My husband used the restroom once, said it smelled like urine and there was nothing in there to wash his hands with. We couldn't get out of there fast enough! - Hilgirl
Jun 2019 - $20.00
Very pretty park. Lots of pine trees and a very clean and nice lake. Campground is in need of maintenance. Power box kept tripping, we were not running AC. No host, the one gentleman that was in the office acted like he didn't like being there. The loops are tight and best suited for small RVs and tents. With some TLC from the State of Illinois, this could be a very nice place to go. Out in the middle of no where, which I like. Bait shop had boats for rent. Electric motor only. Gnats were terrible, 50% vanilla and water mix does a very good job of fending them off, you will need to re-apply about every 2 hours. - Rodney Bensken
May 2019 - $30.00
We were looking for a site for the holiday weekend but every place in central Illinois was either full or flooded. Contacted Siloam and they had multiple walk up site available. Perhaps its because they are very well out of the way. Small state park, manager I spoke to was very friendly and helpful. We were arriving late and they told us to just pick a site without a reserved ticket and check in the next day. We had to move a couple of sites because we couldn't get level. Sites were heavily wooded and took a bit to navigate around the trees. Glad we only had a 30' class A. There are hiking trails and a decent size lake for fishing unfortunately the weather wouldn't cooperate for many outdoor activities. For those liking the stars this is in one of the darkest areas of Illinois but it is heavily wooded and no real areas for night sky observing. - Rickycardo
Nov 2018 - $20.00
Well maintained park. No Verizon or satellite reception because of numerous trees. Trash cans only at front gate. No water at campsite. Scattered restrooms, mainly pit toilets. Wonderful tent sites. Multiple walking trails. They have a playground and archery range. The leaves were changing colors at this time and it was absolutely beautiful. Would recommend. - Sugar Pie 1
Feb 2019 - $21.00
This is our second time staying at this park off season. We had the entire campground to ourselves. There are two campgrounds. We stayed one night in #53 in the campground to the left. The campground roads are fairly easy to navigate. Most of the sites are back-in. Ours was a pull-through right next to the lake and showers. This is our go-to spot when traveling from MN to St. Louis! - Gma Linda
Sep 2018 - $28.00
This park offers a lot. We stayed in the Wakonda campground with full hook ups. The site offered a level pad, a fire pit and a grill to cook on. While there wasn't much shade at our site, the stars at night were amazing. The park offers different lakes to kayak, fish, and a beach to swim in. There are also trails to hike and bike on as well. There is Kayak rental through the park office. Make sure you have your groceries stocked. The nearest town is Canton, which is 15 miles away from Wakonda state park. - Tinymite1
Feb 2018 - $21.00
We stayed here in February. No water, but all we needed was electricity. We stay one night. We pulled in after dark so it was hard to see where the pull-throughs were at. The on-line map wasn't clear as to which campsites were pull-through versus back-in. The smaller campground of 8 sites has no pull-throughs. We ended up in site #53 (I think) in the Boulder Campground. It was a long pull-thru near the shower building. The roads in Boulder Campground were a bit tight to navigate with our motorhome..watch tow!!! We would stay again when coming thru this way. There is no state park fee which was nice! - Gma Linda
Jul 2019 - $38.00
I stayed in a Elect and Water only sight. Although the sight was level the dump station when leaving is really not made for modern campers. The distance between the dump and a building on the side leaves just enough room. I know its been said but just cause a place says they have WIFI does not mean they have WIFI. I was close to the office and still could not use their service. Very poor! Verizon was also not usable my MIFI could only connect at certain times and cell was useless. The fire pit (ring) was to large and tall to even cook over it or see the fire. One would have to bring or buy a ton of wood to enjoy. I stayed there with a group of 5 rigs over the 4th of July. I would try and find a better place if possible.. They offer no discounts for anything, however the cave tour does give a military/veteran discount. - rving4fun
Jul 2015 - $25.00
This is a small lot of 8 spaces located about a city block from the casino. They are full hook ups. The spaces are concrete, most are broken up a bit, but they are quite level. It is on the bypass highway, across from some railroad tracks. However, there is a nice view of the Mississippi river, you can watch barges moving up and down. Water pressure was good, electric steady. This park is great for a night or two to play at the casino, not a destination in itself however. If you join their players club and play before you park, you can get comp'd, however we decided to just pay the $25. The electric and water boxes at the sites are kept locked, you must leave a $20 deposit for the key which is returned when you turn in the key. The customer service at this casino was excellent! Staff was friendly on all levels. The restaurant had good food, served well and is priced easy on the wallet. Play was generous enough and they have a lot of newer machines to chose from. We would stay here again when visiting the casino. - Fixn2gocamp
