3 RV Parks near Pontiac, Illinois
Jun 2019 - $24.00
This area has had a tremendous amount of rain and, as a result, the park was a muddy mess. Not the fault of anyone - of course. However, we called a few days before arrival and the day before arrival and were told that they had a site for us that was on gravel and not muddy. Unfortunately it was a muddy mess. However, the camp host and a camper were so helpful and friendly you couldn't help but appreciate their efforts. We would stay there again as the park was very pretty, and under normal weather conditions, would be a great place. - jomark

Bayou Bluffs is a family owned and operated campground. I have been going there since 1989 with my kids. If you see rules being broken they need to be reported to the office. You don't have to be afraid to let your kids explore nature, fish, swim and play at the many areas around the park. There are many activities for families and the pool, although small is a nice place to go and cool off and meet new people. - Julie Malmborg

This is a Party campground. Not for kids. I would not let my son go anywhere alone here. Underage drinking and a lot of loud drunks on golf carts that are they to drink and party. It's very dirty because of the gravel roads and they do not do any upkeep on the place. When you first pull in, it looks like a Junk Yard! There's a lot of dumpy old trailers and campers just junk sitting around. There is NOTHING for kids to do here. there's a very small pool and is usually very crowded. The electricity kept tripping because they had too many large campers plugged in. Not happy and never going back. - 3mfamily

This campground is very "Family" friendly. They encourage you to bring your Non-camping family and friends in to spend quality time together. The owners and other campers are very friendly. It's quiet and cozy. My teenage son enjoyed riding on the golf cart trails and swimming in the pond. We did not see too many other kids, mostly older people. We will definitely go back and invite our other camping friends. - 3mfamily

Way too far off the beaten track for an overnight, which we did and no reason to make this a destination stop. The lake is just a mosquito hole and it is very close to a busy train track. It is too bad, the owners are super nice, it is just the property that is so sorry. Almost all the sites are used by what appear to be long term residents. Do yourself a favor and just keep driving. - axtoncampers
