May 2017 - $25.00
Barely OK for an overnight stop. Used to be an OK place but has been let go. Trees are overgrown, sewer connections are hard to locate, needs gravel in the pot holes and just looks sad. Honor system drop box for the fees. Looks like someone started to redo the sewer system and the place needs a real going over. Hookups hard to locate. Some were in the middle of the drive/parking pathways. - BennieH
Oct 2009 - $30.00
This was an old run down park with no one on duty just drop payment in the office door. It was raining the day we stopped here and the entire park was a swamp. Would not stop here again. - NevadaJim
Oct 2009 - $30.00
Right off I-57 and easy to access but there is no sign at the entrance except "vacancy". No one in the office. Hodge-podge of sites that were once orderly. Difficult to see what water spigots went with which sites though water and electric were excellent. Sewer hookups in the center of each site. Advertised free cable TV in Trailer Life but it was not available. Showers and washrooms not available for use. No lighting after dark. There was a sign on the office door giving the rate of "$30 for one night, $25 for two or more nights. Put money in slot." What a joke! No amenities, no host: for $30 a night! We planned on staying two nights but left the following morning, never having seen another soul. - loneranger

Jul 2016 - $20.00
Showed up July 3 without reservations; park was only about 1/4 full and we had our pick of spots for the night even though there were no spots available after that due to the July 4th weekend. Parked in a great spot near the lake. Fireflies put on a great light show! - ME for Maine
May 2011 - $20.00
This was a nice, clean, quiet park. It had easy access to the lake. Trash cans with lids kept any animals away. There was plenty of shade. - rvingwithfam
Aug 2010 - $20.00
Very nice and quiet park. Easy access to lake for fishing and boating. Band played on Saturday night. Very quiet through out the park. Rangers and Camp Host were present numerous times during the day. Trash cans with lids were located between each site and picked up each morning. - mr.beebo

A beautiful park with many camping sections with different services available. We did a walk-in on a Monday in October and were able to get the last remaining spot that was with a sewer connection. There were a few W/E sites still available at the time. Later that day, the campground was full, I'm not sure why since there didn't seem to be any special events in the area. Maybe everyone was migrating south like us. Our spot was not on the lake but a 4-minute walk and we were there. Although we didn't have a need, I did see a very nice boat launch area, fish cleaning station, and a really large dog run that included an obstacle course. We also didn't use the showers, laundry, or restrooms, but we peeked in and they all looked clean and well maintained. This is one of a couple of COEs on this lake. - NovarroNomads

Can't beat the price we paid with the senior pass. Our site had full hook up and no problem getting satellite signal. Lots of grass for the dogs & lots of place to walk them. Staff is friendly. The sites are level. There are showers & a laundry. Didn't look at them so don't know how good they are & they were not in our section. The section we were in was not as crowded as the section where the showers were. We had a big rain storm the first night we were there. Our site flooded & stayed that way for the next 30 hours until we left. The other sites seemed okay so I guess we were a low spot. The park is quite a bit off the beaten path. We did get there even though GPS said there was no route to it. Mosquito like bugs in the grass were annoying but the flood seemed to have drowned them for the time being. - Connie's Co-Owner
Aug 2018 - $8.00
This is a pretty big campground with several loops. Some are just electric, some have water, and some have sewer. Make sure you get what you want. Our GPS went a little whacky while at this campground because it seems they've rearranged the roads since Garmin updated the maps in their GPSs. Not a big deal though, the GPS got us to the campground alright. Some sites that are considered "waterfront" aren't really. They're on top of a hill that MIGHT have a view of the water through all the trees. Our site - 67 - did not have a water view. - Wandering With Us

Oct 2017 - $10.00
We had to come back to the area for a job, and Tom and Carol's Park is still the most convenient (there's just not much near Forsyth, IL). We parked our rig in the fairgrounds lot and just used electric for the month. The night before leaving the area we came back to the RV and found that the park had no water , but they ran several hoses to allow us to fill our tanks from a neighbor. Tom is super nice, and he looked after our rig while we were on the jobsite. can't beat the value. - DaBlairs
Aug 2017 - $10.00
The actual park is only six sites, but they manage the fairgrounds sites as well. The couple who owns the park-very friendly and nice. We were actually working at a job site in another town, but couldn't find an RV park closer, so we opted to leave the rig there and stay in a hotel. Tom said he would make sure nothing happened to the rig, even blocked off a section near the fairground gate so no one would come close to our RV. He checked on it several times a day, and let us know all was well while we were away. So $10 a night for electric (we didn't even hook up water) was perfect for keeping the frig plugged in. At the actual park, there is a small (free) laundry room/rec room and an above ground pool, friendly folks. It was well off the interstate so it's not a quick overnight spot, but it was quiet, and safe. (note - they do go-cart races on Friday night at the fairgrounds, so don't expect quiet that night!) - DaBlairs
Jun 2017 - $10.00
When we called to check on availability for a Friday evening overnight stay, we were immediately offered a site in the local fairgrounds since all sites at the campground were full. Not only were we provided a site with water and elec. but the owner also offered to meet us in town and guide us to the fairgrounds and helped us get hooked up. Great service by a friendly owner. We had the entire fairgrounds to ourselves. Plenty of grass for our dog to enjoy. Quiet. Peaceful. Safe, small town site. Good access to water and elec. Just a few miles from the Interstate. All for only $10. What more could one ask for in an overnight stop? - MissouriBird
