Previously a private RV and activities park. Many many activities some with a fee. There is a section of sites located in area with no trees. These sites seem to be most level although the others are not too bad. We camped at Ceraland Campground in a Motorhome.

The campground was nice enough but the gun range right next to the campground was very annoying to us and terrifying for our dog. The (small) dog park was even located right next to the gun range! Seeing as this facility is located on hundreds of acres I see no reason why they would put it where the noise bothers everyone in the campground. For this reason we will not be back. We camped at Ceraland Campground in a Travel Trailer.

A old campground with services for your trailer such as water, electric and sewer are very different from what a newer campground would have. I had to buy an extra 25 feet of water hose to allow me to hook up to my fresh water location at the mid point on my trailer. I now have 5o feet of water hose. If you camp their for the first time make sure you have enough sewer and fresh water hose to make your connections if you have a mid-point service bay like a lot of 5er's have. We camped at Ceraland Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Park was clean. Lots of walking trails. Lake is nice but could use some cleaning. There were several pools, mini-golf, game room, etc. But all were shutdown for the season. Don't listen to your GPS. It will lead you in the back way where there is a tight S-curve. We camped at Ceraland Campground in a Motorhome.

Beautiful county campground. We camped here in the fall (lots of hickory nuts and acorns falling on the RV). Busy on weekends at this time of year. Lots to do in campground/park; Halloween Haunted Trail on weekends. They do charge $2pp at the entry gate; at check-in, you get a hang-tag for the car so you don't have to pay each time you enter the park. Staff friendly and helpful. Lakeside sites are lovely but no sewer. We camped at Ceraland Campground in a Motorhome.

Columbus IN is close by and downtown is very interesting. Mill Race Park is lovely for hiking or picnicking. City is known for architecture and tours are available through the visitor's center. We enjoyed the Ethnic Expo, lots of 'international' food choices. Grocery and usual stores, chain restaurants are in Columbus. It was quiet and peaceful while we were here. Enjoyed campfires (wood $6 a bundle in camp office).

Stayed one night in a delightful camp site on the lake. Few people around. Really enjoyed ourselves until the guy with the mower woke us up shortly after 8am. Recommend this unexpectedly beautiful spot with mature trees, lake, many activities for those inclined. We camped at Ceraland Campground in a Motorhome.

Stayed on site #1 on lake. Close to walkway to pool and playground. The lake has a lot of green algae. Our site is wide and level with gravel base. However not all sites are level. Along the lake electric and water hookups only. Electric is fluctuating low and high power surges. Come back every day to flashing electric. The cover is off of electric post. We reported it but they didn't fix it. Reported problems with electric. Trap and skeet shooting close and you can hear on site but it's intermittent. $2 fee for first trip into park and for guests. Go cart track onsite must bring own go cart. RC airplane field. Fishing for free in lake. Miniature golf course and swimming pool. Extra charge for most extras such as swimming. We camped at Ceraland Campground in a Motorhome.

Great location and a huge amount of things to do. The Camp is gigantic. Lots of activities to enjoy. The only 2 downsides we found were the insufficient amount laundry machines and site levels. 2 washers and 2 dryers does not work for a campground with 308 sites. Please Put a full laundrymat in. Our first site was not level or close to level. We hunted around for one and moved. I recommend The management go thru each site and level it. Many spots were awkwardly sloped. We camped at Ceraland Campground in a Motorhome.

First off if your rig is under 40 feet and you want shade and things for children to do then this is a great park. If you want satellite, want a space with out smoldering fires nearby, if you want the office staff to know what a big rig means, and some sun: then this is not the park for you.

The staff are students from a local college's hospitality program and unfortunately have no idea what the sites are like or what an RV is like. The first site they sent me to was unusable because of a tree limb in the middle of the site. The next site had no satellite service do to trees. I finally did find one that was long enough, no trees hanging down, and had full hook ups. Yes, there is a section in an open field but don't get off the road as that area is low and the ground is very soft and you may get stuck and I believe they are not full hook ups.

The number of smoldering fires with no one around is just amazing and if you have breathing issues you will not be happy. Some sites are full hook ups and some are not. We were here for a rally and I had come in early for the 4th. Just not what I look for in a campground so I would not stay here again. We camped at Ceraland Campground in a Motorhome.

Columbus, IN is a great little city. Take the Cummin's tours and architectural tours. They also have concerts during the summer downtown. We saw a great Jimmy Buffett Tribute Band for free.

Read the article in the FMCA magazine and came here for a tour of the Cummins plant. The article said to call to get a tour reservation but we never received a call back. Upon arrival, we were charged $2 per person to enter the facility! The money taker gave no directions to the office. A very nice gentleman on a golf cart asked us if we were lost and drove the wife to the office. (we had tried calling the office twice but no one answered) Once we found our spot, we went back to find out about the tours and were told that the FMCA magazine got the article wrong because they didn't arrange tours for less than 20 people. Oh well. The facility does look well maintained until you get to the campground. Sites are gravel with weeds growing in them and most of them are un level. It is heavily treed so satellite service won't happen. Power was good, water pressure good. For the price we paid, there were no sewer hookups. Roads are pretty narrow with speed bumps so be careful. Even going the posted 4mph speed limit the bumps shook the coach. We camped at Ceraland Campground in a Motorhome.

Once you get into CERAland, everything is very nice. More on that in a moment. A heads up: the entrance is on a county road that literally takes you through a corn field. Though the road is paved, it is only about 1-1/2 lanes wide, meaning that if you were to meet oncoming traffic, things could get very interesting. Fortunately, the road is not very busy so that shouldn't be much of a problem.

Now for the park itself. Pros: The sites are all back-ins, but they are very wide. Most of the sites are very shady. The campground feels very peaceful, about like many state parks we have visited. Unlike many state parks, there are a lot of activities you can participate in. Most of these cost an extra fee but there is lots to do here if just sitting in the woods is not enough for you. There was plenty of room on our site to park the car next to the motorhome without feeling cramped.

Cons: Most sites are back to back, and that means that the hookups tend to be all the way in the rear of the site. I needed an extra section of sewer hose to make the connection. As some others have noted, many of the employees seem to be teens working part time. I am glad to see teens working, but they don't always know how to be as helpful as they might be.

There is a $2.00 per person entry fee into the gate the first time you come in. Once you get checked in, your car pass will get you in and out of the gate without having to pay that $2.00 per person fee again. They don't guarantee wifi in the campground, only at certain hot spots (which they don't identify). I was able to connect at times via wifi, but most of the time I just relied on my cell phone; I had good coverage with Verizon here. We camped at Ceraland Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Columbus is about 10 minutes away. The park has a golf driving range, trap and skeet, frisbee golf, miniature golf, pool, a lake with paddle boats, archery, rifle range, and plenty of room to walk or ride a bike. Several playgrounds for kids. Most of these activities charge an extra fee, but it is fairly reasonable.

Overall Rating:

The rate is for a so-called "premium" site. This is a destination park, and in our view, not the best choice for an overnight stay. No pull-through sites. During the summer vacation period, the park amenities (small water park, golf, shooting ranges, etc) bring longer term stays along with many children. In the evenings, the RV park fills with wood smoke from all the campfires. While the park amenities appear to be very well maintained, the campground seems to be a bit of an "orphan" in that the grass is not mowed regularly, many campers have outside refrigerators and other belongings scattered around their sites. Many children roaming throughout the park without parental supervision. In our 3 night stay no site of any campground security, and many sites occupied with 4 or more vehicles in spite of campground rules stating maximum of 2 vehicles per site. 10PM quiet hours ignored by many campers and apparently the park as well. Sites generally very unlevel, roads and sites gravel, heavily forested so only a few sites along the south side of the campground would allow for satellite access, no park cable, and limited over the air TV. Verizon and AT&T workable. If passing through the area again, for us, we would likely try to locate a park more suited to over-nighters than CERALAND. We camped at Ceraland Campground in a Motorhome.

WiFi nonexistent. For the high price for no sewer hookup makes this a place needing stronger Mgt.

DirecTV not available unless you move to the field-like campground.

Nice kids park, no effort to remedy WiFi issue. Asked them to follow up and not confident this will happen. 50 amp good, cell phone reception good, level gravel sites. Location good with Columbus within 10 minutes. We camped at Ceraland Campground in a Motorhome.
