Filthy - garbage hadn't been picked up in weeks - filthy toilets and urinals - this place is bad & contacting the owner is a joke - Total slum campground owner. Pool was shut down from health dept. Don't waste your money here - No activities - camp store is a joke - playground broken down & unsafe - worse campground I ever seen. - Recordspinner
May 2018 - $30.00
We were going to stay for the weekend. We drove in, looked around; my wife used the restroom. We left. The place was so run down and dirty it was disgusting . It looked more like a shanty town than a campground . They have a great website but is VERY DECEIVING! This place looks NOTHING like the pictures. BEWARE! - workinman
Aug 2017 - $30.00
Pool was green. Office wasn't open when supposed to be. Our site that was reserved was given to someone else. Mini golf was in disrepair. Bathrooms dirty and falling apart. Sites were not marked clearly. So unsure which power post was for our site. People driving both cars and golf carts while drinking. There was a DUI where the driver drove off the road, got stuck on a rock/tree stump, manager was called and they never came. Quiet hours not enforced. If you are looking for a family campground this is not the place for you. - Jenny42093
Jul 2013 - $45.00
I've camped in over 50 campgrounds and this was one of my least favorite. It's nearly all seasonals, who were welcoming and friendly, with somewhere in the neighborhood of 6 sites available for visitors. The reservation process was simply a matter of getting someone to answer the phone, and no confirmation was provided other than being told my name was "on the board." At check in we waited for someone to find the person who works in the office. Our site was basically in someone's yard and the fire ring was within reach of their tethered dogs. There's a pool but it was packed with regulars who were throwing a party. No other amenities. The restaurant is not affiliated with the campground but is within walking distance. - McNamara's Band
Jun 2012 - $20.00
Friendly, helpful with directions and took us to site. Had a 4th of July celebration on July 1st for weekend campers. Afternoon, a band was playing at the pool pavilion, and an evening meal offered by the park with meat, buns and serving needs provided, just bring a dish to share. Very nice. Nice pool and neat surroundings. Well kept. Tight turns on the well maintained roads. - StLouieEd

This was a nice clean park. The owners were some of the nicest people I have meet yet RV'ing. The town of New Carlisle is small, so getting use to the small town life maybe a little different. You could see Hudson Lake from campground. It's a clean lake, a good size for boating and water stuff. The park has stuff to do every weekend. The only bad thing was the train tracks were very close. Trains do come through all night. They don't blow a horn at night, but you do hear the car's on the tracks. If it was not for the trains, this park would have gotten a higher rating. We would come back with train's and all. - rv1
Dec 2018 - $25.00
GPS took us miles out of our way. There are only 3 pullthroughs..and that loop was closed off. Sites were uneven, and short in the loop left open. Water and Electric in Dec. Okay for an overnight stay, as the park is quiet...but is not that easily accessible. - Rusty Quilter
Oct 2018 - $25.00
We stayed one night while passing through the area. Didn't unhitch. The pads were excellent, level, clean and spacious. There were lots of trees and greenways. I would stay here multiple days if visiting the area. If it had water and sewer it would be a 10-star. - Alan Cockrell
Jul 2018 - $46.00
Nice, long, wide and shady spot. Bathrooms were clean. Too many vehicles driving over the speed limit. - User3295
Jun 2018 - $25.00
This a basic place to stay for a night or longer if your exploring the area. Very reasonable rate, but don't expect too much. We got a flat level cement pad we drove over the grass to park on. Good Power (50) amp only in our power box, water was clean and strong pressure. WiFi was excellent, quiet place to spend time. No pool, or other items, grass was cut and neat landscape. Office was not the cleanest and smelled like dog, but it doesn't take long to sign in and pay. From outward appearance you might just drive by, but it is actually a great place to stay. We would stay here again when we are going through LaPort. The listing shows no wifi but it is a very strong and powerful wifi, very happy with how well it works. - weighit
Sep 2014 - $19.00
Basic parking space with hook-up for overnight. No frills but nice low price. This is 2nd stay here and would stay again. - Tireman9
Aug 2012 - $20.00
Very good value with Passport America. This is our second stay here. Makes a good base for seeing the area. Michigan City is a short drive away and the Indiana Dunes NL are a bit further. We had a 30 FHU on a slab not quite large enough for us. Very good TV reception with bat-wing and Verizon broadband connected at 4G. - Bob and Inga
Aug 2018 - $25.00
Clean campground with beautiful saltwater pool and fishing pond. Every site has full hookup. Sites were quite sandy and uneven due to newly installed sewer hook ups. Roads are in desperate need of hole patching and stone. Highway and train noise, especially on south side of campground. Weekends quite busy with Seasonals. New owners are really trying to make good improvements. Good WiFi. - Looney Bird
Aug 2018 - $35.00
There was a lot of construction going in the park. I was told they had sewer issues and were trying to make repairs. Sites are level but muddy. We lost power at the site and when I went to the office they said they had called an electrician but had not gotten a response and offered a days refund. Water pipe was a couple feet PVC sticking out of the ground. It is obvious they are working to upgrade. - Edd505
Sep 2016 - $30.00
We found EZ Kamp on Google Maps. We just needed a place to stop for the night with electric. We called ahead since we would probably be arriving after dark. The owner was helpful and friendly. He said just come on in and ring the bell as they live upstairs. It was after 9 pm by the time we got there. No problem getting to site. It was an all grass pull-thru with no trees to avoid. We didn't even unhook for the night. The location is very convenient to the highway. We've read reviews before about highway noise. If a park is near the highway you should expect that and we aren't bothered by that. We would stay here again if we're in the area. - Pphil

Our site was quite nice at this campground, but our overall impression was not as good. The setting is fairly nice with heavily wooded areas surrounding the sites and grass between. Some sites shared utility poles, which we never like, but ours was on the end so we had a large open area facing the road. The only landscaping was around the store (which was never open). The pool was cast cement with large chunks missing around the water line, it really needed cleaning and the pool deck smelled bad next to it. The bathroom & showers were nice but very dirty. They advertise a "pickle ball" court but it was just a net strung over a grassy area. In general they do very poor maintenance. Our Dish satellite worked fine. They offer free Wifi but it didn't work well. One positive note....it's very quiet. - Hands For Him
Jul 2018 - $43.00
The park has NO OFFICE to go to with problems, small lots, DUSTY, too close to each other, you must have to share the area between you and your neighbor which is good for families, but not passer's through the area or staying for a week or two, and very very poor internet service. They rent to many workers who leave early in the morning and wake you up, there are people with big dogs, who bark all the time (owners don't stop it) they will say they don't hear that. They have many weekend people who rent all year long who drive by making dust so you cannot enjoy your outside when outside, unless you like dust. The owners don't care about the people who rent, just the money they can make. If you leave early, don't expect any refund, even though they Never said that when you book.
We didn't use the restrooms, so can't say how they are. The lighting at night is fair, the hook up's are all the way in the back of the lot, weeds were growing around them, could be hard to hook up.
Good luck if you go to this park, we will NEVER be back, and we tell everyone we meet to stay away, and go some where else. - Edsan
Jul 2018 - $43.00
This is a family friendly campground that has a large pool filled with happy screaming kids. The kids were having fun driving golf carts all around the campground. Some of the sites are "buddy" sites whereas you share your "yard" with a your next door neighbor which is nice for families and friends to camp together. The interior roads are mostly dirt which makes the camper dusty. The showers had no water when we tried to take a shower, so we didn't try that again. They have WiFi, but we had no WiFi at our site. The campground was full which is probably why our site had broken plastic ware, cigarette butts and general garbage. In the fire pit there were melted soda bottles. We most likely would find a different place to stay next time we find ourselves in the area. - Travelindog
Sep 2015 - $42.00
We camped in a 34 foot motor home. We were in a pull through site close to the office. It had poured and the gravel site was wet and soggy. We turned down the first site for being flooded. WiFi was OK. The entrance road switched suddenly from paved to gravel with many potholes, bushes and shrubs needed to be trimmed. Although it was on I-30 we were not disturbed by the sounds. It was very convenient but over priced for a campground that needs to be updated. - rvflight

This campground is older but pretty and clean. They were friendly. Lots grass back-in sites. Pull thru sites are gravel and fairly level. Power was excellent. TV was good with antenna. - saw2

We used this as an overnight stop on a westward trip. It is close to US-30 and does have traffic noise. We had a shaded site and Wi-Fi was quite good. Owner was very friendly and helpful. Sites along the small pond were all seasonals and folks there were friendly. We walked around and there is a nice playground, horseshoes, volleyball, and other activities. But this is not a destination campground. Some of the negatives other than the noise: sites at back were set up for double hookups with one camper in front of another and no easy way to get in and out; low tree branches at some sites would preclude taller rigs or hamper driving; entrance way is off US-30 and over train tracks that have a bump. If you are in the area and need a spot for a night or two, this is a good choice. We'd stop here again, but not if it were busy and we had to take a double hook at the back. - Too-wow

I can almost feel the collective eye roll from those more experienced than me, LOL. This is not a campground! It's a small city! There are over 1400 spaces here, almost all of which are permanent/long term. The "thing to do" here is ride around in your audio-equipped golf cart, blaring your music (nevermind that others are doing same with different music choices) while you drive around the "community". There are approximately 75-80 carts! It's quite a scene! The people are really nice, and encourage you to join in the fun, but it is honestly a bit overwhelming. We were just there for one overnight and it wasn't what we were needing for a relaxing evening after a long drive. We wished we'd found a Walmart! LOL. They do seem to disperse at 10pm (quiet hours). The camp site itself was ample size, grass/gravel and mostly level. The road in was narrow and difficult to navigate (they led us in). We had some shade. We had a good amount of space between us because no one was parked next to us. We won't stay here again, and would not recommend it for anyone seeking a real camping experience or a relaxing evening and a chance to sit outside and enjoy peace and quiet. - 2 Harleys and a Beast
Aug 2017 - $25.00
Huge campground (over 1000 sites ??), mostly seasonals. Lots of children's activities. Lot's of golf carts cruising. We were located 1/2 mile from the gate, so it was a bit inconvenient to leave the park (many speed bumps and the fact that when we leave, we take our entire RV). Grass site that we had to level ourselves. However, we did have bathhouse, pool, laundry, etc on our end. Loved being able to use Visa in the laundry!! - Barbara Aileen

I would not have guessed from the information that I found online that this was certainly not the park that was described. It is a very large park however only a very small part of it is available for short-term nightly use most of it is permanent residences I would not even call them long term they are permanent as in a mobile home park. The roads were very narrow with holes, the sites themselves were gravel but the weeds were quickly overtaking the gravel and if there are any guidelines or regulations for long-term permanent use they were not being followed. We were not there with any children however had we had one or two of our grandchildren with us I would not have let them use any of the park facilities. One other thing that their information said was that in the event of severe weather to use the restrooms for shelter as I said before it is a very large park and there was only one set of restrooms that I found on the park map which was at the completely opposite end of the park. Had there been bad weather my husband nor I would have been able to use that shelter while being slightly handicapped. I cannot recommend this park. - beejaykay

St. Joseph County Fairgrounds has approximately 30 RV sites available on their property for rent out when there is no large event scheduled at the fairgrounds. The sites are grass with a fair amount of spacing in between sites. The electric and water pressure were fine. My Verizon cell and MiFi worked fine. I could not get a satellite signal because of a tree. Some sites have some shade. The location is convenient to South Bend and Elkhart. With so few choices for campgrounds in the area this wasn't too bad. We would stay here again. - Tiffinatic
Jun 2018 - $45.00
Old park in need of some TLC. The full timers do not take pride in their unit and the road and sites are in need of updating. It served the purpose but probably would not stay again. - Psushu
Jun 2018 - $40.00
The sites are on top of each other with the park allowing the two vehicles to park in and block access roads.
Written rules such as quiet hours were not enforced, so if you are a person who doesn't care about anyone else, this is the place for you.
The park really should post a picture on their banner part of their website with the pool full of people literally shoulder to shoulder...so it is obvious what type of place it is.
Lots of terracing within each campsite, it was too easy to step off of an 8"x 8" while plugging in utilities and fall into your neighbor's picnic table or awning support.
Can I say insane? I would swear every single person who camps with a gazillion children stay here with NO respect for boundaries. At all. There has been a constant stampede through my site...and when I asked all the interlopers if they minded if I brought my dog over to pee and take a dump in their campsite...they looked at me like there was something wrong with me. But - they had no qualms about traipsing through mine - grown adults of little children... About as rude as they come. Even the office came by and told them to knock it off. So..NEVER returning here. The ultimate in rude camping I have ever witnessed in the 63 years I have camped. - weavingstudio
May 2018 - $55.00
We arrived after hours (just) and our site package was taped to the office door. However - when we got to the site, it was occupied! When confronted, the occupant said he was "just leaving". No cable but good WiFi - but when we asked for the WiFi password (by phone) were told "this isn't a hotel" and hung up on. A call back got the password begrudgingly. Sites are level and access is easy but they didn't appear very well maintained and there seemed to be a lot of long-term residents. Bathrooms were a LONG walk away - we didn't explore! Price seems high for the level of service and amenities. - Limey51
