We stayed in a cabin at Caboose Lake when travelling to Indiana for the Purdue Ohio State game. Normally we would have brought our fifth wheel, but since this was a quick two day trip late in the season we elected to rent a cabin. Positives for the Campground: The staff was friendly and check-in was very easy. The cabin was clean and spacious and had a nice view of the lake. Overall I would stay here again in a cabin when returning. Negatives for the Camgpground: The roads were narrrow and were not well maintained (lots of potholes). The campground is right next to I-65 and had the worst road noise I have ever experienced. The sites are narrow and because of the way they are angled require a "u-turn" to enter them ... this turn would be very difficult to maneuver in a longer travel trailer or a fifth wheel. The sites are also narrow with multiple trees on them so would be difficult in a unit with slides. The campground has a storage lot in the back that is filled with junk (rusty trucks, worn out single wide mobile homes, a bunch of propane tanks that are well past their useful life). My wife and I concluded that the campground would not accommodate our fifth wheel due to size and concluded that while this was a good cabin campground it was not a good RV choice for larger units. - Greg and Kim

Large campground surrounding man-made lake. Mainly back-ins, some pull-thrus. Has 'packed-in' feeling. Single shower room for entire campground. Building is relatively new but lacks cleanliness. Just off interstate, but not a lot of highway noise. Roads dirt and gravel. Staff young with little adult supervision. Not very helpful. Some planned activities for holiday weekend.. Would not return - grandma0942

Park is located next to I-65 so expect some highway noise. After that it is all down hill. Roads are very narrow with potholes and it had just rained, so they were full of water. Turn around for pull throughs extremely narrow and short. Pull through site was very narrow with mud puddles on both side so both motorhome and car became muddy. Tree close to slide outs, did get them out though. Afraid to put jacks down as ground quite soft. Would not recommend this park at all. They seem to be more interested in the water activities. - Red Crewzer

The only bad thing about Ross Camp is getting your GPS to find it. Once we were finally able to find it, we were very happy with it. Our camp site was gravel on top of grass but very level. There is electric power but no sewer or water hookups. However there is a dump station and water available from a couple of faucets. When we tried to check in we discovered that nobody is in the office on weekends, as this is a county park. Luckily we had prepaid months ago and were told our site number. OTA TV was surprisingly good...but no Wi-Fi and no bars on our cell phones. All in all it's a beautiful little campground even though it's very remote. When we arrived there were seven sites occupied. By the next morning there were three of us left. BTW-- while walking our two little dogs I saw a Fisher (cat) loping across the field. It actually a large weasel but was cool. - dhaney1944

This place is soooo pretty! We were the only ones there on a Tuesday night. All the sites are back in, but they are spacious. All gravel except one for handicapped which is paved and has a paved sidewalk to the bathroom. They had water and 50 amp service, but no sewer. That was fine with us for one night, but hard to stay for any length of time. They do have a dump station though. For 21$ it was perfect for a place to lay over for the night. - GranNan06

Excellent experience. Exceptionally clean restrooms and showers. We were the only campers present. 15 spaces available. Electric hookup, potable water available and dump station. Quiet, and 11 miles from West Lafayette. - grapeidea
