I really enjoyed staying here. We tent camped for the Labor Day weekend. When we got to our site, there was an RV there, so the people moved it. We had no fire ring or picnic table, but management brought us those items within a reasonable amount of time. There were many activities from community wide garage sales, to Bingo, to a DJ at night. They also had food on site such as breakfast and chicken dinners. The restrooms were not very clean, but I feel it was more due to the campers messiness, than staff's lack of trying to keep clean. They were here often cleaning. The only "dislikes" I have in regards to this campground were that: 1. People weren't made to clean up after pets so there was danger of stepping in doggie doo quite often. 2. Campers had to pay to use the pool. I feel that if you are already paying $25.00 a night to camp, the pool should be included. It was only $1.50 but it is the principle. Overall, this campground was a lot of fun. The people were friendly, and there were always a lot of activities to keep all ages busy! I would definitely come here again. - Shelleystarr2753

This campground is currently in transition, it has a new owner and they are slowing cleaning it up. This CG was allowed to become run down for years, new owners are trying. This CG is huge with 400 sites and almost of them have old trailers with porches and structures build around them. Many sites are 'for sale' as the new owners are forcing them out. The weekend camping sites are in a nice shaded area close to the bathroom. Water is from a well and has a slight sulfur smell, the hardest water I have ever used, even with a water filter. Lots of golf carts, lots of weekend party type crowd, and even a few beer bottles laying around. The bathroom has a sign to remind people to remove beer bottle from the bathrooms. Has a large swimming pool, several games of Bingo on the weekends, and playground for the kids. Has several lakes with reports of good fishing, catch and release. It's far from Paradise, and was a running joke with our group. If the owners clean up a few more run down trailers, warn you about the drinking water, it might return to being a Paradise. - damonbeals
Aug 2010 - $14.00
This park may not even be open now. When we left, the managers had quit and the owner never showed his face. The electric was okay, the sewer had exposed lines, the water is literally not potable and you are warned not to use it as it is loaded with sulfur. - Cyberdave-1

Site was clean and reasonably sized. View was nice overlooking the Amish field. Kids looked like they were thoroughly enjoying the hayride. Kettle corn was awesome!! Several different flavors were offered. Lots of stuff to do here - fishing, swimming, church service right at the campground (!), etc. Would definitely return!! - Nascarzeke
May 2018 - $33.00
It was difficult (impossible?) to make a reservation so we just drove out and stopped a fellow camper to ask what we should do. There was no problem after we made contact with the manager. We understand there are some new folks helping to manage the park now and I'm pretty sure the communication/reservation process will fix itself in short order. We only stayed one night and the campground was quiet, but we understand weekends are busy. It is predominantly a long-term campground. Located in the heart of an Amish community, it's very interesting to see the farms being worked by teams of horses. - Alphonzo
Oct 2016 - $27.00
We definitely will never be back! Last time was 6 years ago and it was great! I had to clean up the trash on our lot. The pavilion behind us had trash and leftover food. The shower houses looked like they've never seen bleach in their existence! When I called and talked to the guy (I'm assuming the owner) he had such a sarcastic attitude. He had one excuse after another. He said I should have let him know the toilets were dirty. Seriously? Not my job! Their website fails to mention that the restaurant is closed. All the chairs were up on the tables. Most of the Amish buildings are nailed shut and there aren't any animals for the kids to see and feed. No WiFi on the grounds. Which is fine because we are there to relax. But it says on their website that they do. The wooden bridge looks like it's unsafe to walk across and we didn't see the kettle corn or tractor pulled hayrides. Website is full of false advertising! The owner or whoever I spoke to said he's never had a complaint before. I find that extremely hard to believe! He apologized sarcastically and said he was sorry that it wasn't "up to my standards ". Are you serious? Find me on Facebook. I've posted some pictures. Tell me who has standards this low where this is acceptable? Bathrooms look like they haven't been cleaned all season. They need to check out Circle B in Angola. Fantastic campgrounds! And they clean their bathrooms twice a day. Amishville couldn't even do it once a day! - Mibblejane

Very nice state park, services are very good and well located. Interior roads are tight in some areas, but passable. Tree coverage is almost total shade so satellite TV reception is very spotty. Very helpful staff. Park ranger came around to advise of tornado watch in the area and to head for cover in the bath houses. Additional $9 for out of state plates for admission to park. - Teacher's Pet
Jul 2015 - $24.00
A very nice state park that happened to be on our cross country route. We stayed in the B loop, as the most helpful ranger we've ever had anywhere understood that we were seeking peace and quiet after the crazy Fourth of July weekend. She placed us in the nicest spot in that gravel-sited loop (#90)--fairly level and very large. The other loop has asphalt sites, which would be useful during heavy rain periods. (This park has a tendency to flood.) Because we were there during bad weather, we weren't able to avail ourselves of the swimming or boat/bike rentals, but those are nice amenities to have. Close to Bluffton for provisioning. - JCLC
Aug 2012 - $25.00
We enjoyed a long weekend at Ouabache. There had been some heavy rain lately and several of the sites had standing water or thick mud so chose carefully. That being said the campground was nice and restrooms cleaned daily. Lots of park activities including bison habitat and pool. There is an admission fee for the pool, but it has a fun water slide and diving boards. - The Flying Dutchman

Aug 2018 - $34.00
Not what we expected for $34 a nite - very narrow gravel roads, no drives/concrete or even gravel for lots - parked on grass. When it rained (a lot) the area around the swimming pool (which is not finished though advertised as with a swimming pool) flooded, as well as the putt putt golf course. We had to walk outside barefoot to get ready to leave as our shoes would get very wet since the grass was saturated. I would not stay again for that amount of money (it was quiet there - since lots of permanent summer resident campers were not around). Staff was friendly. I've been to better for the same amount of money. Laundry was available but not close enough to walk to. - Tap5050

Very quiet, in the country, management will do anything they can to make your stay a pleasant one. - Cdr Bob
Jun 2017 - $19.00
The driveway in is a bit narrow so take it slow. This is a large campground with over 100 sites. There is lots to do, a fishing pond, swimming pond, putt-putt golf, playground, horseshoes and more. Roads are gravel and they grated them while we were there. We were in site 79, all grass and not very level, but wider than normal with a picnic table. Plenty long enough for our 37 foot RV with tow-dolly. We had water and 50 amp electric, no sewer. Camp is well kept and quiet. We stayed the night of June 20, 2017. WiFi was spotty our Verizon signal was strong. We paid $19.26 with our Passport America discount - BarrettsHappyTrails

Jul 2017 - $33.00
We were here for 8 days attending a rally, and the rate was what we paid for "extra days". Be aware that the Passport America rate is still $20/night, but that didn't apply for the rally. It appears in reading through previous reviews that there have been many improvements made to this fairground camping area since the last review. There are currently two restroom/shower facilities that appear to be quite new. Also the sites are numbered and there are many full hookup sites with newer appearing electrical hookups and sewer connections. Be aware that if you should be there during or just after long heavy rains that the grounds can be quite soft, so look around before selecting a site; many are far better choices than others. Following our rally on July 10, many motor homes had be to pulled out by a large rig provided by the City, no charge. The roadways throughout the fairgrounds are paved or gravel and will not present any issues. There are two distinct camp areas in the fairgrounds. The main one located to the north of the main gate has may full hookup sites, but may be wetter during heavy rains. The other area is in the southwest corner of the fairgrounds all grass, and limited to electric only, but appears to have better drainage. Most of the sites throughout the park are fairly level. There are also two dump stations easily accessed in the north west part of the fairgrounds if needed. - Johnson's
Oct 2015 - $10.00
This is an excellent value especially if you have Passport America or Good Sam which gives you 50% discount. Mercer Co residents pay $15. Others pay $20. That is full price. There are some sites on blacktop but most are on grass. I would have given the park a higher rating but because of the lack of showers I didn't. - k m m
May 2014 - $30.00
The sites are large but tend to be soft when it rains. No gravel sites only grass. There's a definite lack of shade even though the park is full of trees. They just are not situated over the campsites. Office staff is friendly and helpful. One drawback for a monthly stay is absolutely no high speed cable internet or phone available. Luckily the 4g network for our own wireless works pretty well. Restrooms are large and clean but plain service. Definitely no frills. - J.Counts

Oct 2017 - $40.00
This park is majority seasonal sites (600) on grand lake. We had high hopes of also joining this campground for the 2018 season on a seasonal site, so my wife and I went up for the weekend to check it out. That being said, this park is huge but we were able to get a good feel for everything in the little bit we saw. There is only one real bathhouse, that hadn't been cleaned in some time I'd guess. The soap despensers didn't work, spider webs everywhere and the fact that none of the locks worked on the doors. It was also a very good walk from the majority of sites in the camp ground. They also have portable toilets located around the campground. Quiet hours are suppose to be between 11-9 but that didn't stop our neighbors in a seasonal site from partying with music that could be heard throughout the entire campground until after 1 am only to be ended by a screaming/fighting match from the entire group, before everyone went to their campers for the night. There was zero patrol or staff that ever drove by to check on campground conditions. This camp ground has more of a trailer park feel and not the camp ground, family oriented feel we are use to and are searching for in a seasonal site. One thing I forgot to mention was the distance between sites was very close and we had to run to town to buy another 25' of water hose to reach the hookup because of how far away it was. Something they might consider stocking in their camp store as we checked there first. We have a 13' tall 5th wheel and the amount of trees that we drug coming in should have been a sign of the upkeep before we ever got set up, we actually ended up damaging our roof antenna getting to our spot. We would not return here ever. - Kyle S
Jul 2015 - $35.00
This is a huge campground with mostly seasonal and permanent "residential" units . Many of which were quite run down and shabby. Our site was reasonably level. Power was stable and sewer port clean and accessible. One of our complaints was the water. It was awful! It tasted like a rusty pipe. Our other major issue was with the multitudes of Canada geese on the property. They and their droppings were everywhere. It made the whole park smell really bad and made walking quite challenging. I doubt we will return. - Airstreamers
Aug 2010 - $10.00
Although this park is primarily a long term usage park, there are sites for overnight/weekly stays. The park sits directly on a lake and has boat slips. There is a pool and mini golf. The camp store was adequately stocked. Staff was friendly and efficient. We enjoyed our time here and liked the area. - LittleCastle

Stayed 3 nights. When we arrived office closed with a note. Had to wait 15-30 minutes before somebody arrived to check us in. They were very accommodating when we asked to change sites. Good for a short stay. WiFi was terrible. After it rains it gets very muddy. - newbies2016
Sep 2016 - $42.00
We were able to get the last couple spots for Labor Day weekend. The girl who I spoke with a couple times was very helpful and nice. For a busy weekend the park seemed quiet, at least in our area. We stayed in the Group Area, there looked to be a handful of seasonal / long term campers but the majority seemed to be weekenders. Playground area was nice for kids. Pool was small and water was cloudy but it was heated so made it nice. We had full hookup so didn't see the bathrooms/showers. Sites all seemed really good size. All sites are gravel but are level. All roads are gravel too which is one of the only negatives. Had never stayed at a KOA but was definitely impressed with this one and would come back for sure. - CampingwithTwins
