Would have given it 5 starts except the WIFI and showers. This is a great campground, and we'll be back for sure. Pros: Cheap, very nice facilities. Full hookup and the best cable TV I've experienced. 80 High Def Channels, that rocked. Bathrooms were very nice, clean. Lots to do with the Casino right across the street. Very nice sits, concrete pads with some grass. They picked up your trash each day which was nice. Cons: WIFI was extremely slow almost unusable. Showers were luck warm, turn up the water heater. AT&T and Verizon both were poor. We saw Rob Schneider Saturday night at the Casino, great show. We also saw Sugar Ray Sunday night, and that rocked. What a great show. Can't wait to go back, one of our best camping trips ever! We camped at RV Park at Rising Star Casino in a Motorhome.

Excellent park in every way except checkin process and wifi. We really enjoyed our stay. We are no gamblers so no comments about that. Check in signs and directions took us a while to figure out but ended up checking in at the main casino. Ignore the signs and do that but if you have a big rig, find an open spot and walk or see if the reservation desk will allow you to park in your spot and get a shuttle. Wifi was sketchy at beat me cell worked better without it. Laundry and bathrooms were excellent $1.50 each appliance. Change machine for $1,5,10,20. Concrete pads but only a few pull throughs; we had to back in. The site map is on the website and helps finding the lots. We camped at RV Park at Rising Star Casino in a Motorhome.

Enjoyed our stay for 4 days at this park. Took the free ferry across the river to visit the Ark. A nice drive through the countryside. Free breakfast at the casino was good. The last day breakfast was moved and the really good muffins no longer available. Only negative is that they need to clean up the trash in the parking lot. We camped at RV Park at Rising Star Casino in a Travel Trailer.

Had a very bad experience. The spot they put us in had overgrown trees that would have scratched the coach so my husband asked for a maintenance man to trim it. The guy leading us in laughed and helped my husband break off some branches. Then he came back and hauled them away. We bought a new coach from General RV while there and when they delivered it they said to remove some more branches so the paint wouldn’t get scratched. Our stay was for a week and the day before we were scheduled to leave they told us we had to leave immediately for breaking the branches. He called the police and the officer said if we weren’t out in an hour he would take us to jail in handcuffs! We were exhausted and it was horrible! They should have apologized to us for not having the tree trimmed and putting us in that spot to begin with! They knew we were 38 ft. Really awful experience ! We camped at RV Park at Rising Star Casino in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Stayed at this park to visit the Ark Encounter and the Creation Museum. Ark requires several miles of pleasant back roads and Creation Museum requires slow travel through city traffic. But over all this was an excellent park. Very inexpensive and clean, quaint little towns all around. Park guests get a free buffet breakfast every morning in the casino. Very little shade except sites along the western fence and that is only in the late afternoon. The trees are growing so that should be better in a few years. We camped at RV Park at Rising Star Casino in a Motorhome.

Cheap and the service to pick us up at site and take to casino for prime rib buffet great after long day drive. Even ride to RV park along river so pretty. We stayed with the deal of pay for 2 nights get the 3rd free. Very nice campground, concrete pads, and rock for toads and picnic area. Very nice private rooms with showers. Only bad things I have to say was check-in was suppose to be in the lodge, but had go across to the casino to check-in, construction down the road, and we call for the shuttle and they didn't answer 2 of the 3 days. Very nice pool and good continental breakfast buffet. We camped at RV Park at Rising Star Casino in a Fifth Wheel.

New park, excellent condition, concrete level pads. Pull through length and in/out turning ratio a tad tight for my 41' motorhome and dolly. Good parking site next to pad for toad. All 30/50 amp FHU w/cable. Hookup at back of pad but not too far away. Hook-up pad area for electric, water, cable and sewer is concrete. Nice sewer hookup about â…“ of way up from back of pad. Very convenient. Shuttle to casino will pick up and return to your site. Free daily breakfast buffet at casino hotel. Casino in separate building so hotel and restaurants not affected by cigarette smoke in casino. Sits right next to Ohio River. Casino has Lady Luck ferry to take your car across the River to Rabbit Hash KY. Check-was at the main hotel, not at the Lodge which is right next to the RV park and where all the signs tell you to check in. Verify this when you make your reservation. Quiet. Not too far from Cincinnati. A little farther to Louisville. We camped at RV Park at Rising Star Casino in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We got a special deal, stay two nights get third night free. Rate quoted reflects that deal. Very clean park, concrete pads, gravel parking for toad, grass at rear of campsites. We had rain all weekend, absolutely no mud! Utilities locations were among the best we've ever had. On site 15, we had 40' pad with the rear of our motorhome extending beyond the pad over grass which was downhill into a ditch. All utilities were located on an extension of the concrete pad. Very clean utility area. We encountered a problem making reservations, the phone menu program refused to accept choice 2 as a valid selection. Choice 2 was the reservation choice. We finally registered on site. On a Friday this was taking a chance but there was space available. Following the signs to RV Registration led us to a desk in the Lodge which was not attended. From there we had to go to the main desk at the Casino to register and get a site. The casino itself has the look of a failing business, understaffed, maintenance obviously being neglected. The parking lot is huge and mostly empty all weekend long. We camped at RV Park at Rising Star Casino in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Just 8 miles N of campsite is town of Aurora, IN which is celebrating it's 200th anniversary this year (2019). It is a very interesting town, antiques, main street with shops and stores. Historic Hillforest Mansion on 5th Street constructed 1853 to 1855. It was built by the son of Scottish immigrants, riverboat captain and businessman in Aurora. It is a great piece of local history. Tours available Mon. - Sat.

Rising Star is excellent! Sites are concrete, level and easy access. Well maintained with gated facility. Site prices are fabulous! They offer a shuttle that comes every hour to take you to the casino or a couple of local places. They offer a free continental breakfast to campers also (we did not use) They also offer half price buffet on Mon/Tue for folks over 50. We camped at RV Park at Rising Star Casino in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice concrete sites. It is a new facility so no mature trees, but it is right in walking distance of the cute little town of Rising Sun. Nice walking trail on the river.

Their ferry from KY side was great, essentially free because they give you a card for the casino for the price of ferry. We camped at RV Park at Rising Star Casino in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice town. The casino restaurant was not very good, but that is expected. I'm not into casinos anyhow. Best to eat in your own camper or in the little town of Burlington, and it is close to Cincinnati if you like cities.

Overall Rating:

During our stay they offered a buy two, get one free night, which is why the rate was so low. Very nice campground with level concrete sites, picnic table and parking area for your toad or tow vehicle. Cable TV worked great and the utilities were well positioned. They have a very nice fenced dog park which the pups loved. There are a number of pull-through sites but we found the back-in sites to be more private (the pull-through are in the middle of the park). There is a shuttle to the casino if that's your thing, but it's within a short walk. Check-in was confusing, we had to go to the main casino to check-in and you can't get an RV near that, so you'll have to walk or unhook before you park. We camped at RV Park at Rising Star Casino in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Of course, there's a casino but we weren't there for that. Rising Sun is a scenic little town but there's little to do there. There's an IGA and Dollar Store withing walking distance of the campground. The casino has a nice buffet but it's $$$. Nothing much else to eat in town, you'll need to go to Lawrenceburg for any sort of sit-down dining. Be sure to take the ferry over to Rabbit Hash Kentucky to visit the general store.

Small RV park across the street from the casino. Shuttle to the casino. Bathhouse with individual bathrooms with showers. Laundry (w/d $1.50). Full hookups, level. Spotty cable and weak wifi. No fire unless you bring a covered stand. Parking for a towed vehicle on the site. We spent 5 days here and enjoyed exploring the town and the casino. Clean, well kept newer campground. Very reasonable rates due to October special and Rewards card. We camped at RV Park at Rising Star Casino in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Rising Sun is a small, historic town on the Ohio River. A few shops and restaurants along main street. Pretty park along the river. Biggest draw is the Rising Star Casino. Seniors (50+) get half price at the buffets on Monday/Tuesday. Decent food for the price; friendly, helpful wait staff. The casino is an old riverboat. Pretty lobby, was being decorated for the Christmas season when we were there.

Noahs Ark is approximately one hour away via ferry across the river. National Air Force museum one and a half hour. Well worth the trip. The Good Sams map routed us on some bizarre one lane roads coming from the south. If the directions you receive look strange check out alternate routes.
