The only bad thing about Ross Camp is getting your GPS to find it. Once we were finally able to find it, we were very happy with it. Our camp site was gravel on top of grass but very level. There is electric power but no sewer or water hookups. However there is a dump station and water available from a couple of faucets. When we tried to check in we discovered that nobody is in the office on weekends, as this is a county park. Luckily we had prepaid months ago and were told our site number. OTA TV was surprisingly good...but no Wi-Fi and no bars on our cell phones. All in all it's a beautiful little campground even though it's very remote. When we arrived there were seven sites occupied. By the next morning there were three of us left. BTW-- while walking our two little dogs I saw a Fisher (cat) loping across the field. It actually a large weasel but was cool. - dhaney1944

This place is soooo pretty! We were the only ones there on a Tuesday night. All the sites are back in, but they are spacious. All gravel except one for handicapped which is paved and has a paved sidewalk to the bathroom. They had water and 50 amp service, but no sewer. That was fine with us for one night, but hard to stay for any length of time. They do have a dump station though. For 21$ it was perfect for a place to lay over for the night. - GranNan06

Excellent experience. Exceptionally clean restrooms and showers. We were the only campers present. 15 spaces available. Electric hookup, potable water available and dump station. Quiet, and 11 miles from West Lafayette. - grapeidea

Nice campground surrounded by cornfields. Host was very friendly. Pull-thru sites allowed two of us to have our RVs face each other. No sewer at site but easy access to dump station. Many permanent residents but those we met were very friendly. Just a few miles off I-74 in western Indiana. - slay

This is beautiful, but basic, country park. Few amenities but lots of room for kids and/ or pets. Improvements such as a new bigger shower house are planned. - WNC Traveler

This is a large campground full of seasonals around the outer perimeter. They have about 30 overnight sites in a square around the play ground in the center of the campground. There are just seven trees for these 30 sites, so it's mostly all sunny. The campground is well maintained with lots of green grass. The staff was nice. The owner's teenage grandson brought us our firewood and he was very nice and professional. There is no WiFi here. The owner said they are "too far out in the boonies" and couldn't get it. Cell signal was minimal as well so we had no internet whatsoever. There is a picnic shelter near the playground. There was about 60 people there playing Bingo. I was disappointed that when we checked in, the owner didn't tell us about Bingo, so we got to listen to it go on for an hour or two, but we weren't invited to play. - Juniper94

Wish there was a sidewalk to the bath house. Very convenient from the interstate. - Kean

This is a run down trailer park that is badly in need of upgrades. The front portion has permanent units along with short stays - many are not level, but are tree covered - not too bad. The rear portion is even more crowded than the front and has scores of dilapidated units - many occupied, some not. Pretty much of an eye sore. During our short stay, two RVers had to move from the front to the back due to unlevel sites in the front. However, the permanent residents are polite and seem happy. The clerk was polite, welcoming and let us pick our site (about 7 to choose from) and came out to help us with a water problem 2 minutes after we called to report it. The park is quiet and located in a pretty decent residential neighborhood and is fairly close to Lafayette and Purdue. If we were not staying on a holiday weekend, we would have gone a little further out and stayed at a nicer place. - Deb and Chris

We loved this campground for what we were looking for. It was close to Purdue and easy to get to. Very crowded, but people were friendly and kept to themselves mostly. The pool was very clean and warm! - Campman92
