6 RV Parks near Battle Creek, Iowa
Aug 2014 - $17.00
Nice county park. Most of the sites have a view of the lake. Nice long trail that goes around the whole lake, take some water, it's quite a hike. My dog kicked up about 40 pheasants on our walk. There are sites with electric only on the top level and electric and water on the lower level as well as tent sites. There was a camp host trailer there but no host was around. Nice swimming beach. The main highway between Ida Grove and Battle Creek was closed so I had to drive around to find the best way to the campground. Would definitely stay here again. - taddyport
Sep 2018 - $18.00
This is a park in the city run by the honor system. No reservations just show up pay and put site number on envelope. They collect each day. The sites are mostly in a grassy field or with some gravel under the trees. Big rigs can enter half the campground with no problem but navigating the whole campground is not possible. I have camped here in a 42 foot and 34 foot class a. The bath house is really dark and not very updated and is somewhat dirty. I used my coaches facilities. In fact I would rate the bathhouse a 1 on a 1 to 10 scale. The rest of the park is a 6. The grassy field can get pretty soft if it rains a lot. There is a nice pond and veterans memorial at the park. It is the only game in town and many times road crews and construction people will camp there for extended times. - John S.
Aug 2015 - $20.00
Big place so bring a bicycle or drive there. It's quite a ways from the swimming beach to the campsites. You can tent camp closer to the beach / fishing pond but RV pads are farther. Two nice playgrounds for kids. Overall it's a nice place, we would go back. - iowasparrow

If you come through the main drag of Correctionville, you will need to do a 1/2 block jog. This is a correction in the survey lines and 3 townships meet at this corner. Playground equipment is located near the campground. Four camping cabins are available for rent as well. Approximately 50 non-electrical campsites are located on the west side of the lake with access to modern restrooms and showers. The Union Bridge Trail connects the park to the town of Correctionville with a ten foot wide concrete path that winds through scenic areas and crossing the Little Sioux River with a spectacular bridge. The 10-acre lake has angling opportunities for large-mouth bass, bluegill and channel catfish. Only electric trolling motors, oars and paddles are allowed on all county owned lakes. There is a designated swimming beach area. Hiking trails offer opportunities to explore the marsh, native trees, shrub plantings, native prairies and food plots. - stetwood
Jun 2015 - $15.00
Make reservations before arriving. Reservations can be made with Kiron City Hall. The campground is right on the all grass ball field with 15amp electricity available at the light poles. There are no sites, just park where you'd like, in somewhat flat area. A single water spigot is available. My Verizon worked here. We might return. - AluminumCloud
Sep 2012 - $18.00
No reservations accepted, walk-in only. Quiet peaceful campground with walking trails through beautiful wooded area. Walking/horse trails are not for the weak or frail! These trails have some very steep hills. Trails are well marked and wide. Water is not the best, so we did not use it in our camper, definitely would need a water filter system if you hooked up to the hydrant. I boiled water to make baggie omelets, and had a good amount of sediment in the bottom of my pan when I dumped it. Restrooms/showers were rustic, but clean and had good pressure for showers. Road entering campground is dirt and very steep and had large washed out ruts along the side of it. I would worry about getting out pulling a camper if it rained very much. Small pond for fishing. I would definitely come again, very nice place. - livin'the_life
Oct 2017 - $18.00
Campground is within beautiful county park w/fishing lake, paved trails, nature center. We were in lower campground w/back in sites. Plenty room to back in 37' 5th wheel with room to park p/u. Lots of colorful shade trees. No sewer, but dump station. - Danalex
Aug 2017 - $18.00
This is specifically a review of the north campground, at the top of the hill. This is a newer campground with sites suitable for longer RVs like our 41 foot MH. The lower campground sites appear to be shorter. Water and electric only, with solid power. No shade in the north campground, but the lower one has lots of trees. Hookups are side-by-side, with alternate parking direction required to reach the utilities. Our stay here was quite nice. There was at most one other RV in this CG midweek, so it was quiet. The lower CG was busier. The park itself is nice, with a lake, shelters and nice views. Self-register, no reservations. Verizon phone and internet worked here. - JA1800
